hey so i had an idea about the whole ‘hermit gem and empires gem are the same person’ thing which has several inconsistencies and most likely precisely 0 chance of remotely being the truth but it’s a funky idea regardless so imma share it

basically, what if the reason that gem is on both worlds and so different in both of them, is because some shit happened in her past or something and now she’s scared of showing the ‘real’ her, but also desperately needs to actually express what she’s feeling so she seeks out several places she feels relatively safe in and lets out. parts. never the full picture, there’s always a fair bit of acting involved, but just enough of her ‘base’ personality that she isn’t feeling completely like she’s faking everything and is able to properly express herself

so for example in empires she allows herself to feel and act more ‘childish’ than she would in other places, but is still covering up or at least dampening most of the other parts of herself, but on say hermitcraft she lets herself act on and express her anger/frustration more, lets herself be a bit snarkier, that sort of thing

and as a result of this the reason she was acting so weird in empires is because two of the groups she’s in where she plays quite different ‘characters’ are colliding unexpectedly so she panics a bit and the mask slips

will this most likely be entirely disproved the moment gem uploads her episode going over this? almost definitely. is it still a fun idea that could lead to an awesome fanfic? yes, and i say that’s a win

EXACTLY. Whenever I happen to mention that I can’t drive people act like I’m crazy. Yes I’ve had my permit for over a year. No, I won’t just magically improve by you telling me that I will. My sense of direction is terrible. My reaction time is just slow enough from most people that I think that I might be a safety hazard on the road. Why do people have to assume that just because I’m a senior in high school that I should have my license?

And of course everyone brushes my concerns off like it’s nothing ;-;

I wish me saying I’m not sure if I can drive would be taken more seriously. Everyone dismisses me and says everyone feels nervous and you’ll get used to it but I don’t know if I will. I say that I mix up left and right and sometimes instinctively go right when someone says go left (not in a car, just in general, for example when my mom tells me to swivel my chair around) and I’m scared this will put me or others into physical danger and everyone dismisses me. I don’t understand all these rules. Maybe it will be okay. Maybe I’m wrong

I know that Sausage's entire lore is about how his empire is supposed to be safe and welcoming but all the other rulers just dropping off the hermits at Sanctuary for him to babysit is so funny to me

God I love watching all thoses little block people run around on there filed trip while the empors are waving adoption papers at them like, 

“Yeah, I’ll give you a dodo if you live in my empire”,

 “yeah, you can sleep at my tavern if you want, here, have a toy”,

 “wow, sudenly I need someone to build me machines, oh wouldn’t it be practical to have a redstoners right now”

“Here, have food, have armor, have a hat, have an elitra! come see my empire! it’s great right? you want to live in it RIGHT?”
