Do not fucking act like you care about mental health when you go around online with your nasty heavily cheeto dusted fingers typing out “you’re a disgrace to your family!” And post shit about shooting therians and furries. Your ass does not care about mental health. You’re only using the fact that it’s men’s mental health awareness month to put down queer people and shame people who celebrate pride month.

Fuck you and fuck all that you stand for. Real mental health advocates don’t go around doing that bullshit. For folks who ACTUALLY care, they support everyone. Not just men, not just women, not everyone until it’s a minority group or someone they don’t like, EVERYONE MEANS EVERYONE.

If you aren’t supporting EVERYONE and fighting for EVERYONE’S mental wellness, get the hell out of the mental health advocacy space. you don’t belong here and you don’t deserve to speak about something you clearly don’t give a shit about.

This is something that pisses me off to no end on a very VERY personal level. I suffer from mental health issues, three (maybe four) out of my five brothers suffer from mental health issues, a few of my male cousins suffer from mental health issues, my dad suffers from mental health issues, my dad’s cousin killed himself because of his mental health issues, and my grandpa fucking died because of his mental health issues and lack of support he got for them because of the stigma surrounding mental health, ESPECIALLY mental health support for men. That’s many men in my life including me who suffers from their shitty mental health and a few who died because of it. And that is not counting the women in my family. If I counted the women in my family, this list would be a whole fuck ton longer than what it is.

I don’t usually judge whether a being can call themselves a therian or not Bc I understand that some individuals experience therianthropy differently than others.

That being said, do not use your experience to speak for all therians. If you call yourself a therian but don’t identify as an animal, I literally don’t care (even tho it goes against the label) but don’t say “US therians don’t identify as animals! That’s for the mentally ill! WE know WE are humans!”

I’m a very “do whatever unless it hurts someone” dog. You say you’re a therian? Okay, cool. You’re hurting the community by spreading misinformation to cater to folks who hate us regardless? Don’t even.

An add on: I never thought I’d speak on this, being a dog who doesn’t like labels to be policed, but I feel like I have to say it.
