David and Avery

David stood in the kitchen looking over the multiple dishes his brow furrowed, when small arms slid around his waist, “why are you looking so grumpy Davey” asked a teasing voice, “I just wanted to make sure that everything is sorted” he grumbled. Avery chuckled “worry wart”, David turned around in Avery arms who was grinning “I just want everything to be perfect” he sighed. “David I love you and your OCD tendencies but please relax this is not a solstice, this is just a couple of friends hanging out eating some good food, drinking, playing some games and kissing when the ball drops at midnight, now please stop worrying your going to give yourself worry line’s” she tapped his forehead. He chuckled wrapping his arm around her waist “would you still love me even then” “I’ll love you no matter what” said Avery pressing herself on her tiptoes and pressed a kiss to David’s cheek. He paused for a moment, then scooped Avery who squealed and clung to him, he sat her on the counter, she giggled wrapping her arms around his neck “we are going to have a good year next year David” “of course I’m marrying my beautiful fiancé” said David leaning down to mouth at Avery neck, she giggled and pushed him away “I’m serious David, we’ve had a hard run but next year is going to be our year” “and I can’t wait to spend it with you” he said ‘love you Angel” “love you Davey” “we have six hours until the others get here” said David “and I didn’t think to put your touch starve needs into my schedule” “oh what an awful fiancé you are” teased Avery “how ever will you make it up to me”, David scooped Avery up, sliding his arms under her thighs “I’ve got a good idea” “oh really” she teased pressing her lips to his, he kissed her back carrying her into the bedroom.

Asher and Georgia

Georgia was mixing batter in the kitchen the counter covered in baked treats when in the corner of her eyes she spotted a hand, she smacked the hands knuckled with her wooden spoon “ow” moaned a voice, Georgia looked over her shoulder to see Asher pouting “Babe” he whined “hands off Asher” she scolded “but Babe let me just have one” he begged “no bad puppy” she grinned. “Come on Babe you made so much, we won’t eat it all tonight” “there are four wolves, and never ending stomachs” said Georgia turning around the mixing bowl propped under her arm as she kept mixing “you look so beautiful” said Asher, Georgia laughed “I’m covered in flour” “you always look beautiful” he said. She shook her head “you are so soppy” “but you love me anyway” he asked “of course I do you donut” she said rolling her eyes. Then the oven dinged, Georgia placed the bowl down, “if you touch that bowl Asher no kisses at Midnight” she warned. He whined, Georgia pulled out thee beautiful cooked cakes, she placed them on a cooling rack “oh Babe they look amazing” said Asher “thank you well that cakes needs to cool and we have a bit of time until I need to ice it, come her Puppy” Asher run up to Georgia and pulled her close to his chest “can we snuggle” he asked “we sure can” said Georgia, Georgia pulled Asher over to the sofa, she sat down, Asher laid down and rested his head on her lap “pet me” he grinned “yes dear’ she teased running her fingers through his hair, Asher rolled over and buried his head into Georgia stomach, her long nails scratching against his scalp, Asher nudged up Georgia shirt and started to pepper her stomach with kisses, ‘What are you doing” asked Georgia “kisses” mumbled Asher “I have lips for that”, Asher sat up and pressed his lips to his mate lips, “bedroom” she muttered against his lips “oh yes babe” he laughed scooping her up.

Milo and Louis

Louis was cooking his hair pushed back with a headband “sweetheart” called Milo “where’s Aggro cat treats” Louis laughed “I’ve hidden them your feeding him to many Cherie” he called, Milo entered the “I do not he deserves them” he argued. Louis laughed “answers no Cherie, sorry” Milo pouted wrapping his arm around Louis waist “what is my amazing mate making” “coq au vin” replied Louis, Milo pulled back “beg your pardon” Louis laughed “it means Rooster in Wine, but I’m using chicken” “oh thank God” said Milo “well it smells and looks amazing Sweetheart” Louis chuckled “thanks Mi, it’s nearly done I’ll finish just before we go”. After a couple minutes Louis placed the dish on the side, Milo had retreated into the living room, Aggro had entered the kitchen and wound himself around Louis legs, who chuckled “hello beautiful boy” he said leaning down picking him up, the cat rubbed his face against Louis and purred, Louis carried Aggro into the living room where Milo was playing Video games he looked up and smiled “there are my beautiful boys” Louis chucked and placed Aggro down and sat down on the sofa, “smash again” teased Louis “not all of us like games that try to give us heart attack” “your just a wimp” grinned Louis “you little menace” said Milo. Louis poked his tongue out Milo placed the controller down and dived at his mate, who squealed, Milo pinned his smaller mate to the sofa,, he grabbed his mate hand and pinned them above his head “no escape Sweetheart your been detained” he purred. Louis cheeks flashed red “get off of me” he pouted, Milo released Louis hands and started to unbuttoned the first five buttons of Louis shirt, Louis took a deep breath as Milo trailed kisses down Louis chest “bedroom” whined Louis “anything for you Sweetheart”said Milo picking Louis up in a bridal carry.

Sam and Diana

Diana stared at the bowl in front of her “Sam i think I need help” she called looking over her shoulder “you said you didn’t need my help’ he teased “don’t be a smartarse help me” he stood up and walked over wrapping his arms around her waist and looked into the bowl and tried not to laugh “oh Darlin” he chuckled “shut up” hissed Diana “I followed the recipe, Georgia sent me the simplest recipe” “this is why I don’t let you in the kitchen” smirked Sam. Diana threw the wooden spoon down “i give up” she said storming away, Sam grabbed her hand “wait a minute, wait a minute come here” he pulled her into his chest “it’s take time Darlin and practice” “it’s stupid Avery said that every couple had to bring something” grumbled Diana “no matter how complicated or simple, had to bring something, but I’m the only one who can’t cook”. Sam chuckled “that is not true, Avery can’t cook nor can Asher” “yeah well Avery getting cooking lessons from David and no one dumb enough to try to teach Asher, i just want to be able to do one normal thing right one domestic thing right but I can’t, i just can’t, I even fucked up sugar cookies, I’m useless”. Sam face softened “oh Darlin your not useless your learning, you were so young when Quinn tricked you, you didn’t have a chance to be an adult but your doing so well” he kissed her forehead, Diana chuckled softly “what did I do to get you” she asked, Sam reached down and slid his hands under Diana thighs and scooped her up, she chuckled winding her arm around Sam’s neck “well you see you were a little menace who broke into vampire filled territory remember that” he teased “oh I remember” she grinned “now” he said “we have about three hours, and sugar cookies don’t take to long, so” he suggested “let me ride my cowboy” she purred. Sam tilted his head back and laughed loudly.

David and Avery

Avery sat in front of her vanity, with her curling wand her makeup down perfectly, David walked in and started to strip, Avery wolf whistle “shut up you little snot” said David, Avery laughed “your so easy to piss off”. She continue to curl her hair “is it weird that I’m nervous” said Avery “for what Angel” “the new year so much shit happened last year i just want this year to be good”. David walked over and slid his arms around Avery shoulder from behind “hey remember what you said this is going to be our year”. Avery placed her curling wand down and stood up to face David “I love you Davey” “I love you too Angel please don’t stress” he pushed a strand of beautiful curled hair behind her ear “thank you” she said “right I need to get ready” she went back to her vanity, David watched her brow furrowed “what’s the matter” he asked as Avery started pulling all the draws open “my pearl earrings are missing” she pouted, David walked over and placed his hand on the small of Avery back “there” he said reaching into the mess of the vanity table “Angel you’ve got to clean this vanity it’s a mess, that could be your New Years resolution” “and your resolution could be to be less grumpy” teased Avery “why you little snot” said David, Avery giggled and headed for the walldrobe and brought out a beautiful dark coral dress “that’s a nice dress” said David “thanks Louis gave it to me for Christmas” she said sliding it on, she fluffed up the petticoat “do I look pretty Davey” “so pretty Angel”. Avery slid on her pearl necklace and pearl necklace, “I’m going to break open the liquor cabinet, I want a drink before this night starts” she laughed “you stay away from the Vodka” warned David “please do not get drunk tonight” “but it’s New Year Eve” pouted Angel “come on Davey don’t be a spoil sport”.

Asher and Georgia

Georgia was finishing her cake when she heard Asher “babe where’s my boots” when there was a loud crash, Georgia shook her head “every bloody time” she muttered as she iced her three tier cake, Asher appeared “I found my boots” he cheered “what did you fall over” laughed Georgia “my boots” he pouted Georgia burst out laughing “you are so clumsy” “babe” whined Asher. Then he spotted the cake “oh my God Babe that looks absolutely amazing” “I’m pretty proud of it” she smiled “now I have to get ready and your coming with me because I don’t trust you” “fair enough” said Asher. They entered the bedroom, Asher sat on the bed and pulled on his boots, Georgia removed her flour covered clothes and tossed them in the laundry basket and opened their walldrobe and started to rifle through “what to wear what to wear” she pondered out loud. “Can i pick” Asher, “fine but if you make me look ridiculous I’m not wearing it” he rooted through the walldrobe and pulled out a sparkly green dress “this” “my puppy has such a good eye” said Georgia taking the dress and sliding it on “so beautiful babe” he said. Georgia cheeks turned red “you soppy boy”, “straight or curly” asked Georgia “curly” grinned Asher, Georgia smiled softly, she reached out and rested her hand on Asher cheek “here’s hoping that this year is better than last year” she said softly “here’s hoping” he said.

Milo and Louis

Louis was fluffing up his hair and picked up his eyeliner, “hey Sweetheart you almost ready” Milo asked sticking his head into the bedroom “nearly Cherie” Louis called “look at my gorgeous man looking so sexy” said Milo, Louis slowly applied his eyes liner. Once he was done he placed his eyeliner and stood up from the vanity. When Aggro ran in “come here little man” said Louis picking him up “are you ready for New Year” “I can’t believe David said we could bring him” said Milo “well it’s Aggro New Year too” said Louis nuzzling his face against Aggro. He placed Aggro down and headed for the walldrobe flicked through his shirts and choose a deep blue shirt and shrugged it on and started to button it up, his finger faltered half way through “sweetheart what’s the matter” asked Milo “do you think we’re going to have a good year this year” said Louis softly “I’m sure we will sweetheart” said Milo “just after all we’ve been through you losing your wolf the shades, I just can’t help but hope this will be a good year” “hey this going to be a great year, we got this house, David getting married to his own little menace it’s going to be a good year” “your right I guess I was just having a dark moment”. “Come here” said Milo pulling Louis close by his belt, Louis chuckled resting his hand against Milo chest “we are going to have a great year” said Milo. Milo finished buttoning up Louis shirt “there you go so handsome Sweetheart”.

Sam and Diana

“Darlin we have to go” called Sam “one second” called Diana “I can’t find my jacket” “Darlin we’re going to be late” said Sam as Diana dashed across the living room “I am not going without my jacket” she snarled “where the fuck is it” “if you hung up your jacket when you came home then this wouldn’t happen” scolded Sam. “Don’t start” hissed Diana “help me” Sam sighed “where did you last put it” “well if I knew i would have it by now”” said Diana growled. Sam placed down the bag down that he was holding, he caught Diana as she rushed across the living room “Darlin just wait a minute think”, Diana paused for a moment “oh I know where it is” she rushed off. A moment later she came back with her jacket on and a bag “what is in the bag” asked Sam “a surprise for later” grinned Diana “that sounds terrifying” said Sam, he took Diana hand and lifted it to his lips and placed a gentle kiss on her knuckles “here’s to a good year Darlin” “here’s to a good year Cowboy” Sam rolled his eyes “you have got to stop calling me that I’m not a Cowboy” “my riding tells me different” she purred “you are awful” he sighed “how do I look” she asked “very cool Darlin very cool” he teased.

David and Avery house

David placed the final dish down on the table, Avery appeared adjusting her hair ribbon, “ready to celebrate the New Year Davey” “ready as ever Angel”, then there was a knock on the door, Avery giggled “bet it’s not Asher”, Avery opened the door to reveal Asher and Georgia “happy New Year guys” cheered Asher raising the bags above his head “Asher I swear to God you break any of that” snarled Georgia holding her beautiful decorated three tier cake “wow David look at what Georgia made” said Angel as David appeared into the hallway “blimey Georgia” he said taking the cake and pressing a kiss to Georgia cheek. He took the cake into the dining room and placed the cake in the centre. Asher started to take all of the baked goods out of the bags and placed them on the table “these all look amazing Georgia” said Avery “hey I could have baked some of these” said Asher “you can’’t make oatmeal Asher, let alone this” said Avery. Then there was another knock on the door, Avery ran and through the door open to Milo and Louis “Louis” she grinned, Louis held out the arm not holding his dish and allowed Avery to rest against his chest for a moment “hello Ma Cherie” he said kissing the top of her head. Avery pulled back “oh food” she said taking the dish, Louis chucked taking off his coat and hanging it up, the pair entered the kitchen “blimey looked at that cake, who made that” asked Milo slipping an arm around Louis waist, Georgia raised her hand shyly “oh wow”” said Louis “fantastic Georgia”, then one final knock on the door “there’s Tank” said Avery “I’ve got it” she opened the door and jumped into Diana arms “hey little mouse” greeted Diana placing Avery down “what did you bring” asked Avery “sugar cookies” said Diana “it’s took a few attempts” said Sam “don’t tell her” said Diana “come on you lot” called Milo “let get this party started”.

The pack was all in the living room watching television and eating food, David knocked his fork against his glass the room feel silent “uhh me and Avery have some news” he took Avery hand “now one of you already know about this but umh me and Avery are engaged”, the room feel silent then exploded “congratulations” cried Asher. He grabbed David and pulled him up and into a hug, for once David didn’t push his friend away and hugged him back “thanks Asher” said David “wait a minute” said Diana “you said someone knew who knew”. The pack looked around the room and watched as Louis slowly raised his hand grinning “why did he get to know” pouted Asher “because i needed help picking a ring” said David sitting down “now to be fair I just lead him in the right direction he picked the ring himself” said Louis “and he did a fantastic job” said Avery kissing his cheek.

After an evening of food, drink and games it was three minutes till midnight, the couples were all cuddled up on the sofa watching the New York New Year celebration “three minutes left” said Asher, he raised his glass “here’s to a good year” ‘to a good year” they all said raising their glasses. “Two minutes” said Avery looking at television “I need to grab something” said Darlin “now” said Sam “it’s important” said Darlin sprinting from the room, the clock kept ticking down. The clock hit thirty seconds to midnight “Darlin hurry up” called Sam “I’m coming” she called, she skidded into the room with ten second left and jumped over the back of the sofa next to her mate with something hidden behind her back, when the clock struck three, Diana pulled out a cowboy hat from behind her back and placed it on Sam’s head grinning who just rolled his eyes.

“Happy New Year” cheered the TV, the four couples all leant into celebratory kiss.

David pulled back pecking one more kiss to Avery lips “Happy New Years Angel” “Happy New Year Davey”.

Georgia parted from Asher resting her forehead against he’s, “Happy New Year Babe” “Happy New Year Puppy”.

Louis and Milo broke apart breathing heavily , Milo cupped Louis face “Happy New Year Sweetheart” “Happy New Year Cherie”

Sam and Diana pulled apart “Happy New Year Darlin” “Happy New Year Cowboy” Sam just rolled his eyes and pulled his mate in for another kiss.
