Long Time No See

It has been a long time since I wrote here. At the moment, I am having a cup of coffee and trying to prepare a presentation in my family’s home. Why am I preparing a presentation? Because, I will give a seminar to a medical chamber of a city (i.e. it is a union consisting of doctors in the same city). The seminar will be about personal data protection law.  Other than this, I have been trying to land pharmacists as my client. I prepared something like a brochure setting out the services I provide. I handed out at least 20 brochures and only got one phone call. I will not give up though.

Uncertainty

Uncertainty may be more fatal than alcohol, smoking, drugs or junk food. Especially for a young lawyer who is in his mid-twenties and hustling to land a client.

Moreover, such uncertainty actually leads to people drinking alcohol, smoking, using drugs or eating junk foods. 

My poison is alcohol in times of uncertainty. Having a bottle of Grant’s Family Reserve now. Paired it with a pack of Marlboro Touch.

Laptop choice for a new lawyer

Here is the thing. I am a macbooklover if there is such thing. I have been using a Macbook Air since 2013. However, for lawyers, there are certain softwares in my country that are only compatible with Windows. Therefore, I need to buy a new laptop even though my Macbook Air still works perfectly. 

There are three options in my mind: (i) Lenovo Thinkpad T-Series, (ii) HP Elite Dragonfly and (iii) Dell XPS Series. I am dying for a Thinkpad but heard that their after-sales services are not that great. But I will keep reading reviews. I am not sure yet. These are expensive machines. I gotta be careful. 

But I can’t help but ask “is it necessary to buy a new machine without any client?” LOL.

Another blog..

Starting another blog.. I can’t count how many blogs I have started before. However, I am still hopeful that I can become a regular writer. This time, I have chosen Tumblr. It is actually weird that so far I have never given it a try considering the fact that I even used LiveJournal in the past. 

Will I have any theme? I don’t know dude.. I have achieved many things in my life but I feel like I have no skill whatsoever apart from being a lawyer and being able to speak English as a second language. 

To be honest, I am not even a lawyer yet. I am waiting for my licence to be issued. Also, my English is not perfect. So, maybe I am nothing then, eh?

Maybe I can write about my ‘adventures’ (!) after I get my licence. 

By the way, I am listening to ChilledCow’s “loft hip hop radio - beats to relax/study to” right now and It is so cool. But it also makes me feel like a teenager. Of course, not that anything is wrong with being a teenager.
