Illusion
I don’t recognize him anymore.
in a room made of paper, brown and yellow splashes of paint water cover it whole. there he stood, in the middle of the page.
an old friend.
it looked like he belonged in this mess. a splash of blue watercolors represented his silhouette, some scribbles and randomly placed lines… who are you anymore?
you'd think i'd recognize you. you'd think i'd close my eyes and smile, but my face is expressing nothing but confusion. narrowed eyes and tigtly shut lips, i couldn't speak, i couldn't smile, i couldn't be who i was when i was around you.
I failed you.
i’m tired of feeling this way. I should close my notebook and move on. but i can’t, my hands can’t move, it’s a choice.
the least i could do is make one more wrong choice, for your sake.

Ego
I could’ve been great.
I could’ve been the greatest.
I see how he holds his bow, how the arrow launched from his hold to the red circle in the middle. I would say it was magic, I would say it was luck, but deep down, I knew that it was his fault.
He told me about his practice, about his companions. He told me about the long nights, the painful feeling in his hands, the numbness in his chest, he told me why he was so perfect.
And it got me mad, how come he was in the right place at the right time? how come he had me as support, had me as the listener, while i failed all on my own?
how come he got the cheers, while i only got what seemed like the sympathetic claps of whom i failed to make proud?
how come after all these years, all these months, weeks, days, hours, minutes, seconds, i only came as the number two on the board?
is this how villains come to be? filled with immaturity and sloppy ponds of jealousy, agony and low self esteem, is this what i’ve become?
an archor who’s too afraid to shoot his own arrow?

hello! i want to write a story about a boy looking for a ghost who he has only heard about- and wants to find out who that is. He doesn't know where to start, and nor do I. I have like this idea but not a plot. I thought of making it a relative but it's not much appealing to me. Also, I don't know what kind of obstacles he could face? Any ideas? Oh btw, the boy's gonna find out that supernatural stuff exists.
Hi!
Ideas for who the ghost is:• A childhood/old friend he doesn’t really remember • The murderer of his loved one • A victim of his loved one who is a murderer (unbeknownst to him) • A random ghost who needs his help because he has access to a certain place the ghost wants to get to, knows someone the ghost wants to talk to, lives in the house the ghost is tied to, etc• An enemy/ rival of his family• Someone who knew his parents• A ghost hunter • A past neighbor • Someone he witnessed an injustice happening too (especially if he did nothing to stop it)• Someone he bullied, negatively affected, etc. but doesn’t remember that well/ forgot about (same circumstance with the previous one) • The victim of an unsolved murder/death• A missing person
Obstacles:• The ghost can’t move on/ pass over until the boy does something to help °Get revenge on who caused the ghost to die °Bring the murderer to justice ° Tell the public/ the ghost’s family how the ghost really died because what everyone believes happened is false. And the boy has to gather evidence to prove it with the ghost’s help *really like this one ° Help the ghost figure out how they died because the ghost can’t remember/died without know why or what really happened ° Destroy everything tying the ghost to the world ° Help the ghost make amends for past mistakes so the ghost can be at peace/go to heaven after moving on from Earth• Mysterious forces (like other ghosts) keep on preventing the boy from figuring out who the ghost is ° Maybe very few ghosts get to leave Earth (like there’s a quota, like 1 every lunar eclipse) and they don’t want the ghost the boy is finding to move on because it takes that spot from them• Ghost hunters are bent on extinguishing the ghost (sending it to hell/oblivion) before the ghost can move on (which the boy is trying to help the ghost do) so the ghost can go to heaven/ be at peace
Ideas for where to start:• The ghost medalling with the boy’s life/getting his attention• The boy getting curious and finding out info he’s not supposed to know surrounding a certain death• The boy sees the antags (ghost hunters, murderer, etc) acting suspicious and investigation of this reveals the ghost
Hope I could help!

Going to write a haunted house story, but from the ghost's perspective. I want to blur the lines a bit, making it difficult to the reader to determine weather or not it's a real ghost, or just a family member who is ignored and left out, though I'm planning to reveal that it's a real ghost. Any general tips and ideas?
Hi!
First of all, know your rules of the ghost world. Make them up yourself if you want, but don’t bend from them. If ghosts can be walked through, don’t make your ghost different. My point is to be consistent, so the reader isn’t confused.
A few world building questions to consider:• What do ghosts wear? The clothes they died in? • Can living people interact with or see ghosts? Do the ghosts determine that? •How are ghosts made?• Are ghosts bound to a certain object or place or person? • Do ghosts know they’re dead? Do they remember their old life? • Does your ghost enjoy being a ghost or do they want to find a way out? • How common are ghosts? • Why haven’t living people discovered the exitsence of ghosts yet? • Any kind of explanation behind the existence of ghosts: magical, scientific, religious? • Are ghosts in the same dimension/plane as the living?• Can ghosts affect the world around them, like moving things? Does it take practice? • Can ghosts exist from the 1200’s or do old ghosts fade awat or otherwise cease to exist? • Is your ghost peaceful, mischievous, sad, etc.?
Add some slight clues here and there. I hate plot twists or surprises in stories that seem totally random and unplanned. Use foreshadowing and such early, but not enough as to where readers will instantly discover your ploy.
From you mentioning that readers have the possibility of thinking the ghost is just an ignored family member, then I assume your ghost is invisible. Think about what that might mean for the ghost. Are doors often shut before they enter? Does the ghost bother to input their dialogue in conversations if they can’t be heard?
Some ideas:
• The ghost is a dead family member who doesn’t know they’re dead. They think their family is playfully ignoring them. • The ghost scares people out of the house before the more violent ghosts can hurt them. • The ghost can see grim reapers and tries to save people from them. • The ghost can see ‘death shadows’, potential ways people can die, and tries to protect them from it. • The ghost is trying to find their killer, and they know it’s someone in the house. • The ghost is trying to earn release from ghosthood by doing good deeds and helping new ghosts.

Since you were a young child, you’d been haunted by a ghost. You had always been able to sense them, and occasionally you could even feel their emotions, or the faint echoes of what would have been a touch.
In a way, they had been your first friend, their presence and faint echoing emotions a constant comfort and source of companionship throughout your life. They helped you with life in ways you couldn’t describe, gently guiding you through situations and tasks, and teaching you in their own unique way, despite not being able to speak to you.
It was because of them that you learned so quickly and matured so fast, though these advantages didn’t come without disadvantages.
People tended to find you unsettling, not only because of your intelligence and maturity, but because of the strange feeling in the air that seemed to follow you where ever you’d go. Whether that strange feeling came from your companion or yourself, you didn’t know, but either way, it led to some unfortunate reactions from those around you.
Despite how long they had been by your side, you had never seen your ghost affect anything in the physical world, something that you had both tried to figure out over the years. It was because of this, that the two of you were more than a little shocked when that changed.
The fact that they were also now visible, only made the situation even more peculiar.

The harsh light of the bus shelter should have been a comfort to you in the darkness, the light allowing you to see, on what was otherwise an almost starless night. No matter what direction you looked, the streets and paths were empty of life, and yet you couldn’t help but feel as though you weren’t alone, the sensation causing you to hug yourself tightly, burrowing down into your jacket.
Looking around you nervously once more, you only barely managed to bite back a scream as you saw the shadowy figure sitting beside you. Silently they glanced at you, before looking out at the road, seemingly waiting for someone or something to arrive.
Part of you wished to flee, but you really had no where else to go until the bus came. Instead, you found yourself sitting there stiffly, desperately wishing it would come faster. Eventually, the lights of the bus came into view and you sighed in relief, reaching out and gripping your bag as you prepared to stand.
“Don’t.”
Their voice made you flinch harshly, anxiously glancing at the ghostly figure. You were shocked by the desperate pleading look in their eyes when you finally met their gaze. They looked fearful, though of what, you didn’t know. The sight made something twist uncomfortably within you.
Soon enough, the bus pulled up before you and the doors opened, the driver giving you a cheerful smile.
“Don’t do it.”
The ghost said again, this time laying an icy hand on your wrist.
“Sorry, I’m just waiting for a friend to arrive, they’re only a minute or two away.” You said sheepishly before you could think on it further, holding up your phone.
For a moment, a look of inexplicable and fierce anger passed over the drivers face, the expression sending a sharp pang of fear racing down your spine. Quickly he replaced the look with another overly cheerful smile, giving you a short little nod before closing the door. You sat there tensely as you watched him drive away, only relaxing again once it was out of view.
Letting out a shuddering sigh, you turned to glance at the ghost again, only to find them gone, the sting of their icy touch still biting at your tender skin. Before you could wonder further on the matter, you were startled to see another bus arrive, much to your confusion.
When no ghostly figure arrived to warn you off of this one, you cautiously stood, climbing up onto the busy bus. Now that you thought of it, it was strange that the other had been empty on this particular route, though you quickly shrugged the thought off as unimportant.
Finding a seat, you settled down quietly, rubbing absently at the hand shaped bruise forming around your wrist. To your shock, a look outside showed that the ghost had returned, silently watching you with a sad but relieved smile as the bus started to drive away.
You couldn’t help but feel like you had seen their face somewhere before.

the only thing that’s stopping you from making a pov playlist about the rock is your brains definition of what and what is not possible. everything is possible. anything is possible. don’t limit yourself by never crossing the line between the mortal and immortal plane and allow yourself to be seen by your higher self and ascend.

you know it’s bad when a fucking tiktoker educates you and is not being attacked by other people for being incorrect.
do you not know how scary it is when a teenager with the attention span of a gold fish dedicates an hour of their day in making a video with the tts feature accompanied with ccs to just show you how much of a fuck up you are?
20 teenagers tried to cancel me once because of a misunderstanding and i almost shit my pants. i’m not golrfying these kids’ behaviors i’m genuinely terrified of how much dedication they put into things like this regardless of their motives.
i didn’t sleep that night i had too much adrenaline going on.

tumblr etiquette 101
a list that is nowhere near exhaustive, from yours truly.
First off, welcome! Whether you’re a twitter veteran looking for anything but whatever twitter is, or a new user just done signing up, glad to see you in our ranks beloveds! Welcome home. Refer to this quick tour to make sure your fandom experience (or tumblr experience in general) is a positive one!
Disclaimer: I know it’s long, but please try to read or skim through til the end if you’re new here! This is by no means meant to be a rule book (for the most part lol), only a guide to help you get settled easier!
1) Your blog
This is where people will see and interact with you, so put some effort into it!
Try to choose a name (url) that’s simple. You can see it as your brand, it’s how people will perceive you and remember you. If you’d like to interact with other users here (and not use the site just for the content) it’s better to have something short and sweet, preferably without spaces. (Of course, these are only suggestions.) Rest assured, you can change it literally any time you want.
Have a theme. Utilize the tool that lets you edit your blog’s color or the font of your bio! You can make it match your profile picture, or your blog if it has a theme of its own. Make it feel homey :]
Fill in your bio. People will be checking out your profile probably more often than you think. Don’t leave it empty! Put in any information you’re comfortable with sharing and isn’t too personal (like your age if you’re a minor, or other TMI that can be found on other people’s carrds). It’s always better to add a name/nickname people can use to refer to you by, but feel free to use your blog description to shitpost still.
You can have an intro post. More often than not, you’ll see a blog have a pinned post, a post permanently appearing at the top of a blog until you pin another post or unpin it. You can make one of those, if you’d like to introduce yourself in more length, link any other socials or a carrd, and show others visiting your blog how you tag things so it’ll be easy for them to navigate. Not an obligation.
Keep your anonymity and your safety. It should go without saying, but there’s no harm in repeating it just in case. Your comfort, privacy and safety has the utmost importance. Don’t share any information you don’t want to. Don’t share your age if you’re a minor, or any other incredibly personal info. I’d encourage you to go by a nickname that’s not your real name, (blog name, your brand, remember?) since there’s safety in anonymity, and that’s lowkey one of the big deals of tumblr, but that’s up to you still.
Choose what you want to be visible. Your liked posts and who you follow are all things you can set to keep to yourself and hide from the publics eye, how handy! You should go through all the setting while you’re at it, set it to your comfort.
Side blogs are a thing. You can have multiple blogs that you can use for different things (see: different fandoms, art blog, etc) to keep them organized or away from your followers. Just remember that the replies and off-anon asks you send will be from your main blog, as well as where you follow other blogs from.

Ok so, with the recent surge of mcyttwt members coming to Tumblr I figured I'd make a post explaining a few things that people should know.
First, tumblr and twitter are very different platforms. Here, trending doesn't work the same way, so don't try to get really specific phrases trending. MCTY or Dream SMP is usually trending, but don't try to get something more specific trending because that will clog up the tags and won't work anyway. Also, here liking posts and reblogging them are very different. Reblogging is what helps spread posts, so that is more appreciated.
Second, use tags. The way tumblr filters things is with tags. Please tag your stuff. The tags you should use for mcyt/dsmp things are either character igns, 'dream smp', 'dsmp', 'mcyt', and if you're talking about a group, like sbi, tag them. And to tag tws put something like 'violence tw' or 'blood tw' in the tags. That way people can filter them. And if you're liveblogging tag that too.
In regards to tags, do not use the minecraft tag. The minecraft people here are here for the pretty builds, not for the youtubers. Don't tag anything with 'minecraft' 'minecraft youtubers' or even things like 'philza minecraft'. Please be respectful of others, and don't make them look at our shit.
Third, we are a very chill platform. We don't want drama, and it is usually not very tolerated here. Remember that this is not twitter. When someone there drags up 5 year old tweets, do not bring this here. We do not want to look at negativity. If you are one of the people who is affected by a joke or smth, it is fine to make a post saying that you don't support a creator. But don't start drama here, since there are a lot of people parts of minorities that just want to exist. Most of our discourse is about the characters and we would like to keep it that way.
Again to do with tags but if you are going to put something that is negative or critical of a character/content creator tag it with "[character] critical", "negative", "critical", "discourse". If you want to criticize the fandom use "dsmp fandom critical".
Fourth, I feel like I have to say this but, this is also a very weird platform. Please be aware that if you follow someone because of their posts they might start talking about dilfza or how the egg is a milf. This is normal, we're a hellsite. We have cursed posts and things that probably shouldn't see the light of day, so just be careful. This isn't something that is new, this is normal for us.
Fifth, the ccs aren't active on this platform, or at least as far as we know. And most of us don't want them on here. It's nothing against them right, we just don't want parasocial relationships. We're fine with them being hidden on here, and we just go about our day.
Sixth, don't be upset at people who have different opinions than you. You can just scroll past. Of course, if you reblog and start a polite conversation, that is fine. Just don't get mad. This should be a given but I feel like I have to say this.
Seventh, do not share your personal information. We don't have selfie days or anything like that. While we are a chill platform, there are always weird people, and we are generally more careful with this stuff. If you are a minor, I'd put 'minor' in your description. Most of us don't show our faces here. It's a very anonymous platform and we would like to keep it that way.
Eighth, very important but a lot of us have had negative experiances with twitter/mcyttwt. If we don't trust you at first that is because of that. I'm sure most of you are good people but we've seen shit and we are here to avoid twitter. You are welcome of course, but please respect that. (as someone who gets physically sick most of the time on twitter, i am wary of people from there, but you all are mostly good)
Anyway, that's all I have to say. Please just be respectful to us, don't start drama, and we should be good. We're excited to have more people, so I hope you enjoy your time!
