As of now the au is on an indefinite hiatus. i think the team's been meaning to make a formal post on it but nobody's been sure how to go about it. For me it's college, other commitments, and mental health issues that have made it difficult to focus on the lab AU (along with a loss on interest in danganronpa as a whole)

I’ve been a fan of this for a long time(I’m actually the person who unintentionally started the “cube cult” because the Shamisen puzzle was taking so long I sent the box experiment image with the phrase “stare at the box and try not to lose your mind” three times) and I have to say this is still amazing! I love the updated designs of the experiments and I can tell this project is in good hands!

Are you working on the V3 experiments?

Yes and No, most of the V3 experiments were done previously with the help of another artist and will be reused for this iteration of the lab au. HOWEVER, some experiments are no longer up to par to current standards of some experiment types and/or require updates, so we need to redo a few of those characters (2-3 sprites) before reposting the V3 experiments.

This au sounds objectively boring and hopeless. Have a few characters who aren’t experimented and are finding a way save everyone. Otherwise it’s objectively boring and Junko’s the biggest Villain Sue in this universe. Your au is doomed if everyone‘s experimented and super edgy.

… Isn’t that the point of the Lab? … If that is what you’re getting out of it, then we’re doing our job perfectly.

[OOC] In all seriousness, it’s worthy to note that the current story for this take of a Lab AU is a work in progress. Details and story beats will change with time.

And if you’re here taking the time to express a dislike for the AU, then why waste energy on it? Just as much as we enjoy the creation of the AU we have made, there has to be a respect to what we create, even if it is not up to your personal taste.

The story is way more complex than an average AU so there's a lot to cover with such a unique concept.
