Speaking as another crocheter, you probably could also crochet something similar!

Disclaimer I have not tested this at all but now that the idea has been given I probably will

So it'd take some trial and error but if you just do a foundation single crochet or chain and tack it down to see how it looks every once in a while (maybe add some increases and picots if needed) then it should turn out alright!

It'd also be a good idea to starch it after, even if you're sewing it onto backing fabric but ESCPECIALLY if you aren't, so it keeps it's shape. Honestly you might even be better off with watered down glue to get it really stiff

Basically you'd just wanna chain and slip stitch a bunch over an image til it fits the vibe

I will find a suitable image then try this for myself and report back 🫡

All done!!!! Continuing my quest to make tmnt fanart in the most obscure way I can manage. This is gonna get beaten out by filet lace eventually, I believe sksjjs. Here the idea was generally to emulate an I spy book situation, though honestly I think it could’ve used more in general if that was the case. I like it though!!! It was a lot of fun!!!!

Just realized I never shared the stuff I've crocheted for my cane!

The cover is loosely based off one I found on Ribblr (Linked below) but I had to edit it a bit to fit my specific handle

Since my cane's handle is hard plastic I find the cover very helpful! Plus the vines are cool looking too

Adding lace to a pair of jeans because I'm obsessed

The plan is the outer seams, bottom hems and front pockets will all have the same lace

Might do a filet crochet thing for the bottom hems but depends on how burnt out I am when I get there

It's just a bunch of single crochets into the jeans with a 1mm hook then going back with 5dc scallops
