All right so update on this is taking a bit longer because I've had some other projects hit my desk and I've been working really hard the past few days. But I will drip for you guys content about this character until I finally am able to draw

I don't have a name yet, I usually go with some pun name so I will find that sometime today. But this character is going to fit into my main universe that leans harder on anthropomorphic characters, And I want to leave this character in a small set of of scientists and geniuses something akin to a Ludwig von Drake or Dr. Vega punk from One piece.

This one will be more based on Mr. Tom Lehrer obviously so I think making the character in immortal who is fascinated by death. I think it would be really fun to have my mad scientist be this yearning very enthusiastic, almost Gomez Adams level, interest in the macabre and strange.

Imagine an insane mad scientist who discovered basically the philosopher's Stone and can only view it through the lens of love, there's no sacrificing people. There's no equivalent exchange in his eyes,He just wants to do good but he's crazy. So his good and his experimentation with it is always pushing that boundary of going a little too dark because he can always just heal back from it himself and he did the same procedure that makes him immortal to his wife.

All right, we have my daily ramble day two so I'm happy that following up those first ones with a good one. This one's not about the intrinsic lore of anything. This is just an idea that I have had bouncing around in my head like a DVD screensaver and it hit the corner this morning. Where I have like an ideal video game for single player that would just fix my problem with the soles like engine and how every RPG is slowly but surely becoming a souls- like

A person's the ghost of tsushima game came out and the things about ghost of yote continuing to come out. I have been thinking about samurai games and I think back to my childhood of packing/games and beat em ups where those things were where fluid and had a difficulty curve at work balanced around being purposefully difficult and kind of unwieldy like ninja gaiden but imagine a game more similar to The Ghost of tsushima setup, where the character scale and difficulty. And it's a little bit more fantastical but it has the Nemesis system that has been locked up like that one image of Goku. It's too powerful for gaming. They don't want games to come out good. They want games to come out where you can shovel money into them Infinitely.

Developers really want a slot machine that can throw beanie babies at you and can print money. But for the ideas that people have that like could truly honestly print money. They are too afraid to do them and do them poorly.

Game idea number 2

Grind core movement based beat em up! Something along lines of a jet set radio or a cyber funk bomb Rush, but you add something a little more lethal and it's not about tricking and combos. It's more about the violence. Think about a game stylized like those early 2000s feels with a distinctly ultra kill combo system a speedrunning game

Okay so I don't come on here often but I think I'm just going to start using this as my driving to work or just sitting around and rambling space so it might not make a lot of sense to you guys. But these thoughts are things that just kind of sit at the surface level of my mind and if I don't speak them out loud then they disappear and when they disappear nobody else can hear them,

I have two thoughts this morning. The first one is a deltarune thought when it comes to the song Black Knight and why it is so similar to burn and despair from undertale is because Des and asriel kind of reflect each other. But there's an extra layer to something that was omitted from the Black Knight. So and that is there is a sick significant lack of the freedom motif I've been referring to it as the freedom motif like the fandom does, but I prefer it as the gaster motif because I think all of the characters that have Shadow crystals at least interacted with gaster at some point and his corruption is what causes that motif.

So imagine there is this doctor who is experimenting on a world that he found when you go darker than dark and it has interesting properties and some of the things that happen to you reflect in the real world. I imagine him in the Delta rune world as an explorative therapist and he is also the forgotten man. The guy who gives you the eggs is distinctly attached to Kris's trauma and backstory. The freedom motif is specifically attached to what is corrupting dark worlds and we know that gaster fell into his creation from undertale. I think gaster is a corrupting force in the dark worlds. Trying to control them using Shadow crystals to get things to do what he wants. But Shadow crystals are just glassed with intention and there's another person who can use them for control or a better word for them is preservation.

There are only two candidates that can be the night in my eyes. Des or Rudy have to be the night. There's no in between and for both of those characters they've either disappeared for Des or they are chronically ill like they have an ailment from the dark world. I think Des is stuck in a dark world and we see her consciousness stuck in the dark world in the code of the game. I think Rudy's body is being puppeted using a shadow. Crystal or maybe worse than just one. And all of the things that he's being forced to do are what make him sick but it's in pursuit of getting him better and bringing back Des

The lack of the freedom motif and the imagery of earthbound combined with Des is essential to who the night is as a character because it is someone being preserved at the moment of death or they're trying to be preserved to find a solution to death.

This all could be a red herring for Rudy being the Knight, but there is a thing that I have held on to for this explicit reason. Video games are a huge piece of the characterization of Rudy asriel. Chris and Des and I wouldn't be surprised if using the motifs the old game that is supposed to reflect Toby Fox and his inspirations directly comes from Rudy. People who played earthbound when it came out. Our parent age now and the game takes place a little bit further in our past because of the technology Gap and everything but the holidays and the dreamers are interwoven into the video game motif of the world of Delta room. Susie is important because she is directly paralleling the main character of the game that Rudy and Noel play. There is too much connection between video games and the stories of said games to the actual events happening.

This expands one more layer for me where there is my extreme speculation for the game is the game is going to have multiple endings that have the same result, but the emotional impact and the reason those things happen are different. They might happen to different characters, but one of our main cast is going to become the angel and the angel will be ice themed. I also firmly believe that the four heroes us having four characters to control at the end of the game is intrinsic to the plot. I think we would need to have Noelle. Susie, Ralsei and Kris all on the same team to do that final fight, but I don't think it's going to be a traditional boss fight because Toby never does that. I think we are going to be getting what happened to asriel
