I don't know many people who play board games these days, I like playing chess with the sibs though, I always lose but I'm learning.

What was your major in college?:

I am in secondary school so uh none?? The only major I am is major doofus lol.

Night owl or morning lark?:

Um both?? Neither?? Time can be so weird with living on Tracy Island and doing school in the UK and rescues taking place all over the world so I'm just awake whenever I guess.

What never fails to make you laugh?:

Grandma swearing at the voice activated tech because it just refuses to listen to her lol.

(Also mandatory Gordon mention, he will be offended if I at least don't mention him. He is pretty funny tho not gonna lie.)

Would you ever skydive?:

Scott would never let me. I have fallen a couple storeys off a building before though, I imagine it's like that.

Do you have any tattoos?:

I am 12 so uh no.

I usually get yeeted into the pool by Gordon or Alan before I even get a chance to decide.

Netflix?? Is that company still alive??

Yeah we have streaming services, it's like an island wide thing where everyone is on the same account but we have our own profiles.

Coffee but only iced or frappéd, any other way is just gross.

Idk like 4? I haven't been doing this training thing very long, I'm still kind of a weakling. (;^^)

John and I'm also ginger so does that count as two? (The people coming up with these questions realise that we're not rare mythical creatures right??)

Ew. None. Y'all can keep your soggy cereal, I'm happy crunching on my bone dry Cookie Crisp thx.

I keep seeing people making fun of using growled, hissed, roared, snarled etc in writing and it’s like.

have you never heard someone speak with the gravel in their voice when they get angry? Because that’s what a growl is.

Have you never heard someone sharply whisper something through the thin space of their teeth? Or when your mother sharply told you to stop it in public as a kid when you were acting up/being too loud? Because that’s what a hiss is.

Have you never heard a man get so blackout angry that their voice BOOMS through the house? Because that’s what a roar is.

Have you never seen someone bare their teeth while talking to accentuate their frustration or anger while speaking with a vicious tone? Because that’s what snarling is.

It’s not meant to be a literal animal noise. For the love of god, not every description is literal. I get some people are genuinely confused, but also some of these people are genuinely unimaginative as fuck.

I love this painting. I’m possibly going to headcanon it over the top of the model simply because it adds more possibility of beaches, jungle and pohutukawa groves :D And just look at those stairs up to the Roundhouse.

As someone who saw the original first - because the reboot didn't exist at that time 😅 - I would be inclined to say the original. I feel that I had a love for the reboot because of how it was brought back. It wasn't trying to be a carbon copy but nor was it impossibly removed from the sentiment of the original. So I think that's something that was done really well despite the changes to effects / CGI some 50 years on

But I don't thinking watching the original 2nd would make any difference. It's not like some shows where the watching order seems necessary to make sense. I think there are different things added in the reboot like EOS that are noticeably different if you watch the original 2nd but it's nothing major that affects viewing

Pretty sure I still have the all the original episodes on my drive if you want a link 😊

So I promised an update and here it is!

Some of you may have seen the recent news about solar activity and the northern lights coming to the UK? Well I was offered to work on an observational study of this so it meant changing my routine to working nights for a bit

So I have been educating for two days instead of 3, still writing papers for 2, but have amended one day back to live animal study at the local conversation area, and added from my days off to make a second, so I only now have Sundays completely to myself

Also spanner in the works - I currently have 3 fractured fingers on my left hand, 2 of which are missing fingernails so that's yuck! This was the silliest of silly life accidents and my colleague still hasn't forgiven herself for shutting the gate on me. I've told her we're even because I bled all over her car on the way to hospital 🙈🤣

Anyone who's ever been to wildlife parks will probably have seen these - they are heavy metal and if you don't hold them back they magnetise and lock behind you to stop the animals escaping.

My fingers can tell you that they work!

So there you go. I haven't had the best typing ability to get my work done let alone anything else but I am still here with you all!
