the dancing scene in the tent between harry and hermione is such a bittersweet moment, and the song is such a beautiful touch and carries so much emotion in itself. very nice and cool, i’m a huge fan

hermione was wrong in saying that ron has the emotional range of a teaspoon.

that boy has Big Feelings for you, he just didn’t know that yet (or know how to express it, anyway)

something shifts in hermione in prisoner of azkaban. the pink-sweater blue-jeans outfit brings out the fire in her and she’s suddenly way more than the brains-only-academic-scholar that everybody has come to know.

and it’s INCREDIBLE.

the fact that she’s been using the time-turner all year to make her classes, the so-deserved malfoy punch, her stepping between sirius and harry (while they still thought he was going to kill harry), the whole process of risking everything while on the rescue-buckbeak mission and throwing rocks to get their attention, luring a werewolf in their direction to get him away from harry and sirius, etc etc etc.

we obviously knew that she was wise and smart and stuff, but the bravery, courage and loyalty that landed her in gryffindor really came out in this movie and it was so refreshing to see.

i’ve said it a thousand times and i’ll say it a thousand more.

this series from ron’s pov would be so SO cool

((and then be totally honest, i think i would probably like the ron version just as much if not more. like with the same events going on, and the story isn’t changed, harry still has all of his hardships and challenges and whatever, just viewed from ron’s lens. that pov would grant more insight into the burrow and the other weasley’s, how ron feels about all of the events that go on, plus more clear elaboration on how he feels about hermione earlier on))

((completely an unbiased remark by the way, obviously, certainly no favouritism detected here nope, i would never be biased (/s, /j)))

snape and I have a love-hate relationship.

10 times out of 10, he’ll throw harry under the bus and make his life hard on purpose, make fun of him, threaten him, xyz.

yet.

10 times out of 10, he’ll throw himself in front of any danger that threatens harry (that he’s around to witness, anyway).

(whether it be because of lily or not……. that’s a different story and argument)

the lack of security at hogwarts is so funny, and the fact that they never shut the school down makes it even better.

like whoops, troll made its way into the girls washroom in the dungeon, sorry guys, watch out.

oopsie daisy, an escaped killer prisoner got into the castle and is possibly hunting one of the students, watch your backs.

um whoops, turns out a GIGANTIC BASILISK has been slithering around and petrifying people and cats, and using a first-year as a puppet to write cryptic threats on the wall, that’s our bad, tread cautiously!

hehe um we accidentally hired a teacher who had the dark evil lord hitchhiking on the back of his head. lessons were learned, we’ll do better next time!

and so on and so forth. and they never shut the school down? like where exactly does one draw the line between not extreme enough and too extreme?

hogwarts school of life-threatening events and hardcore-ness

imagine sitting in the hogwarts express, surrounded by all your friends while you're on your way to yet another school year at hogwarts. imagine taking a walk outside the castle, the wind blowing in your hair while you enjoy the first few days of autumn. the sound of leaves crunching under your feet. imagine sitting in the common room, the fire warming up your slightly cold body while you listen to your friend's stories, or you're studying for another test in potions or you're cuddling up on the sofa with your partner. imagine going to hogsmeade, getting sweets at honeydukes or drinking a butterbeer at the three broomsticks. maybe you're going on a date or you're going alone because you want to spend some time with only yourself. just imagine your life at hogwarts. walking through the corridors, going from one class to another. eating in the great hall. watching your house win a quidditch match. sitting by the black lake, either alone, with your partner or with your friends. just imagine.
