My thought is that if there's an underground market for Nie Mingjue's fanarts in MDZS (which, ofc there is, the man is 7th on the best-looking young masters list, as well as being a talented, bachelor clan leader), Nie Huaisang is definitely contributing to the supply on the market if not completely monopolize it.

See, having a share in this market is his way of keeping control of what's actually ON the market, not to mention making a little side money.

Chapter 4 is insane. Wwx is sprawled on top of lwj and goes "record scratch - freeze frame - you were wondering how I got in this situation" and recals the entire time he went to study in Cloud Recesses. And it's a long-ass chapter with a lot going on. And once in a while you remember that at present time, wwx is still laying on lwj with his legs spread and all. And you know how horny lwj is and how much self-restraint he needs. And then you are back with wwx drinking liquer on the wall or torturing him in the library and all that. And for a second you are back to that image of lwj covered by wwx-shaped weighted blanket. And also lwj is just grateful he finally needs the self-restraint and will tolerate anything as long as Wei Ying is back. And then wwx gets into the fight that gets him kicked out of Cloud Recesses and the morning comes.

Also, the name of the chapter is "The Elegant Flirt".

But why do mdzs extras feel like she just wrote some fanfic on her own book?

Nie Huaisang is such a character. He can faint on command. The character guide in the novel describes him as a dandy and lists his weapons as saber (ostensibly) and crying (actually). He stalked a canary for several days and then sneaked it into class. He collects porn and shares it with his friends. He's in a sword wizard society and his clan in particular is known for their blades but he never once has a fight scene. His characteristic accessory is a paper fan. He failed summer camp twice. He formed a Golden Core nearly a decade later than everyone else his age. When his brother was killed he set in motion a several years long revenge scheme that involved both careful planning and insane improv. He built a reputation on not knowing anything. He threw himself on his brother's killer weeping and saying "if you don't help me I'm killing myself in front or you." Truly who is doing it like him

The tags seem to reach consensus that the hand keeps doing paperwork for the Jin sect.

Poor guy, can't catch a break. The rest of the body is -single handedly- fighting Nie Mingjue. Except that one limb, that is stuck doing paperwork.

Multitasking even after death.

I'm suddenly very worried about what happened to Jin Guangyao’s hand. The one Lan Wangji cut off. Did they remember to toss it in the coffin with the rest of him? Did they suppress it separately? Under the same mountain? Somwhere else? Is there a random very tiny coffin covered in runes out there? Did Nie Huaisang collect it and stuffed it in one of the walls of the sabers hall? Does it count as an adequate replacement for Nie Mingjue's leg? Or is it just a bit too small? Did it escape in the commotion, and they had to send the juniors to deal with a Mo village type of situation once again? And Lan Sizhui is like "ok, we know what to do, all we need is a couple of walking corpses to fight it, oh-oh, wwx and lwj just eloped, quinquin it is"
