Time to say goodbye to Japan 🇯🇵. It’s off to the next adventure I go. Japan you’ve been epic as always and I hope it’s not that long until I can return again. It’s also two months of road testing for the @antlerofficial Juno II and the 8 wheels have been helpful on this trip. I’ve also stuffed it to the brim with Japanese snacks, tea and chopsticks to take home. Usa Jingu Shrine located in the Oita prefecture of Japan is thought to be the first Hachiman Shrine-temple of it’s kind. It’s a mixture of Shintoism and Buddhist culture and is a popular spiritual location for people to heal the mind. Oita Prefecture offers a unique side to Japan that I’ve yet to discover on my travels around this region. Oita will be a host city for the Rugby World Cup held in Japan 2019 at the Oita Bank Dome. And once you grab a train from Oita city to the surrounding towns you will soon discover the beauty of the countryside from your train seat. I was able to book a Homestay on a farm just outside of Usuki. Totally worth it to see the sunset over surrounding rice fields and to experience Japanese hospitality at a Homestay. #Oita #Usuki #Japan #RWC2019

Time to say goodbye to Kumamoto prefecture and hello to Oita prefecture. Be sure to take the scenic JR train called the Yufuin No Mori which easily connects the route together. The journey will take you across the picturesque countryside, surrounding foothills and rice fields, you will be grateful to have taken the more scenic option. My adventure around Ireland’s Wild Atlantic Way has begun from Killarney today. Heading North to Mayo for the next 5 days. Today we managed to spot some birds of prey at the West Port House.
