I didn’t have a Dad...he took his own life when I was just 3 but he ended up being a huge influence on me. How? By being the best Dad I can be. By being there for my kids ALWAYS! And never taking the responsibility I have and the love I give and receive for granted. My life began when I became a Dad and I cherish every single moment. As a father it became my duty to influence my children’s lives in an impactful and positive way but it’s the profound influence they’ve had in my life that is the real gift... It may be Superbowl Sunday but it is also a day to remember two extraordinary men who died while serving others. Chris Kyle and Chad Littlefield were buddies, and on this day 7 years ago the two men kissed their wives and left to spend an afternoon volunteering to help someone they believed they could make a difference to. Neither of them knew the man they set out to help would take their lives, instead. It is a tragic story of betrayal and grief and pain that will never be unfelt by those who will grieve them forever- like our friends Taya Kyle, and Chad's brother Jerry Richardson, and parents Judy Littlefield and Don Littlefield. We consider ourselves blessed for knowing these people Chad and Chris loved and honored to have shared their stories, tears, and laughter on American Snippets.
