HI MY INTERNET BESTIE IS ALSO MY REAL LIFE CHILDHOOD BESTIE AND SHE IS A VERY TALENTED WRITER, FOLLOW HERE OR ELSE
Hello!!! I noticed in your bio that you are a writer- what kind of stuff do you like to write? 💕
Thank you anon for my first question ever!
I am working on a novel that has plagued me since childhood, and has subsequently turned into a series of books. The first book is called "The Halfway One" and the series will likely have the same name. It's a little bit of everything, but at its core it's about a young woman named Izel, her journey to save her step-brothers from a crazed self-proclaimed Necromancer who kidnaps them, and in the process discovering herself and her own story. I often equate it to a D&D campaign that got distracted by side quests.
In addition to that little beauty (and by little I mean an entire series worth of content), I am also OBSESSED with Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss right now, and am working on a fanfiction that will include both halves of that universe.
It's a story written in second person about someone who requests she be called 'Theia'. Her moniker is 'The Demon of a Thousand Eyes'. This will probably also end up being the title of the story, but I'm not entirely certain.
She has a grave secret, one that she must keep from everyone, and goes by the alias 'Theia' to hide her identity further. She knows that Lucifer may be the only one who could possibly figure out her secret, given how powerful and well-connected he is. In the last fifteen years, she has tried desperately to avoid Alastor as much as possible despite being close friends with Rosie. She manages to succeed until Rosie pulls a favor with him to get him to invite her to the Hazbin Hotel, citing her depression and need for friends as motivation to get her to leave her shit apartment. She has also managed to avoid the Morningstars this long, and while Charlie is unable to see any issue with her, she knows that it won't be long until she meets the King himself, and she's only anticipating trouble from there.
Her powers allow her to peer into any eye on any building or wall, including paintings, portraits, posters, or ones she's drawn herself, as long as she has seen it before and knows the general area of where it may be. Her body, clothing, and personal items are covered in eyes, including her staff which can shrink as small as a hairpin or as large as a one story building, depending on the size, though she usually uses it as a hairpin or walking cane. In a pinch she'll use it in her whiskey.
She also eats eyes, and puts them in her beverages. She's close friends with Rosie, since she buys her eyes from Rosie's Emporium once a month. I've written several chapters and plan to post the first chapter on AO3 when I have at least one more chapter completed.
It's definitely explicit. It's Theia x Vox, Theia x Lucifer, and aggressively leaning towards Theia x Alastor even though I was trying to make it less so, Al had do go and do some WEIRD SHIT that was way too in character but also aggressively flirty because Theia is a weirdo too and it just worked and I'm sorry not sorry that's just how that rolls; accept it or don't read it; I don't know. Just know that it was flirty as fuck but they haven't done anything but touch hands and the like so far.
The only actual smut so far that I've written is Theia x Vox. Short answer is that Vox has a thing about attention and Theia can give it to him, but it's not romance and neither of them expects it to be.
Sorry for this long post and if you made it this far, thanks.
If you're intrigued by this idea feel free to reply or shoot me an ask.
On this year women's day, all we could think about are Palestinian women in Gaza.
Nearly 9,000 women have been killed in Israeli attacks in five months. Another 2,100 are missing and presumed dead, while 23,000 have been wounded and over half a million are displaced.
“Palestinian women, especially in the Gaza Strip, are exposed to the worst humanitarian catastrophe,” Ashraf al-Qudra, the health ministry’s spokesperson, said on Thursday.
Dozens of women and girls have also been detained and face harsh conditions in Israeli custody, including sexual abuse.
Women in Gaza also struggle to find menstruation products and access the necessary pregnancy and post-natal care. The consequences on reproductive health, including a rise in stress-induced miscarriages, stillbirths and premature births, have increased significantly.
Women in labour are undergoing caesarean procedures without anaesthetics, and a shortage of post-operative care such as medication, antibiotics and pain relief further exacerbates the situation.
According to the health ministry, 5,000 women give birth monthly in Gaza under “harsh, unsafe and unhealthy” conditions caused by Israeli bombing and displacement.
There are 60,000 pregnant women in Gaza suffering from “malnutrition, dehydration and lack of medical care.
There have also been repeated cases of Israeli soldiers mocking Palestinian women by posting videos and pictures of themselves rummaging through personal belongings in Gaza homes, making derogatory comments and posing with women’s underwear.
HOT (or maybe lukewarm) TAKE: I don't want God to make an appearance in Hazbin Hotel
Make Him the true absentee father that, after the creation of Eden, just fucking DIPPED. It's suggested that the elder angels were who booted Lucifer from Heaven (I'm not super certain of the lore prior to the Amazon Prime HH), but not a mention that God wanted Lucifer gone. Granted, that depends on how closely Viv wants to align with Christian mythology. But I'd like to believe that the extermination, how Heaven and Hell are currently run, and all of that is being done outside of the guidance of God cuz He's just GONE.
That, or, if God is gonna make an appearance, make Them a complete other worldly being that made the universe to let it exist outside of Them and actively didn't want to control the beings They created.
What I'm saying is I don't want HH to go the SPN route and just make God a guy that shows up, haha
I want to point out that this "trend" is often used to make fun of or degrade romance and erotica books which are genres primarily consumed by women and female identifying people. Just saying ❤️
I’m so sorry but in the nicest way possible do yall actually read books or just read words??? Cause I’ve been seeing that trend of people not understanding how “snarled” and “eyes darkened” and “eyes softened” etc. was used in a book and like…
Genuinely, do yall just not have imagination?? Or not understand figurative language??? Also eyes do literally darken and soften have you not lived a life??? How do you read with no imagination? Is this how you get through so many books in one month - you simply don’t take the time the understand the words as they are read?
must a fictional relationship be “healthy” or “functional”? is it not enough to simply watch two made up people destroy each other, hand in unlovable hand???
