however, the thing that rlly makes it for me is artoo deciding to come along as well. bro is like "no one is making me come but i heard the word 'trouble' and i will find a way to get into it <3"

Ahsoka Tano had never been one for parties. She stopped by to say hi to Hera and send her best to Sabine, but she hadn’t done much else. Sure, parties were a pertinent part of her short stay on Shili with her biological parents. But those were long before the days of her admission in the Jedi Order, and her service in the Clone Wars. And now, the boom and bustle of such festivals reminded her too much of the explosions and shouts that continued to sound and pound in her nightmares decades later. The falling ash from fireworks at the forest moon’s skyline wasn't much help either.

So Ahsoka Tano turned to her familiar facilitator in all of her times of need—the Force. And the Forest Moon of Endor was full of it. Life stretched from the tippity top of the trees to the shortest shrubs dotting the ground where the former Jedi strolled. The Force hummed with contentment in every corner of the galaxy, with a melody unlike she had ever heard before.

Slowly and then all of a sudden, the melody melted into the song she knew all too well, the song of a presence so powerful it could only fathom a single explanation. She felt a hand on her shoulder.

“Snips?” he whispered.

Ahsoka slowly turned around until she was face to face with him. Anakin.

I Will Always Be With You

Also known as the three times Anakin visited his closest friends as a force ghost, and the one time they all met together.

This was the end. The end of the great story. The only story that had ever mattered. The story of the one who was chosen. The story of the task he was chosen for.

And it was over. Anakin Skywalker had not perished in painful perpetuity, but in peace and purpose, a purpose that came crashing down on him like a tidal wave.

He had felt the mist first as it hung in the air, and felt the water rise to his waist. But nothing was enough to extinguish the roaring flame of his hatred until it finally overtook him—the light, filled with so much of that peace and purpose that he felt he could drown in it.

And he did. As his soul simmered into a state that was both soothingly similar and fearfully foreign, he felt that same energy that had fueled his fears and feats and failures implode into a star.

You see, Anakin Skywalker burned so bright that he could have been a star. In fact, he was. He was a force so strong and so soothing that he formed unbreakable bonds with those he held close. But Anakin Skywalker burned so bright that his power consumed him, and everyone in his path. Well, not quite everyone.

Yes, those closest to the star fell fatefully before him, shattered until their desires disintegrated into debris. But the Chosen One of the Force had shined so bright that even in his final moments, he was brighter than the two suns that had beaten down on his back all those years ago on Tatooine. And that light had fallen on the faces of many people he held dear, and many people that he didn’t. Some people he had known all of his life, and others he had never met. Some that knew the seams of his dreams like the back of their hands, and others who could not even recall his face.

Either way, there was no outcome in which this force of fidelity could be erased. For the souls inspired by the incandescence of Anakin Skywalker were enough to incinerate the iniquity of Darth Vader.

This is the story of merely a few of those people, and their final encounter with the man who started it all.
