Quote
I don’t know. Sometimes you get a line, a phrase, sometimes you’re crying, or it’s the curve of a chair that hurts you and you don’t know why, or sometimes you just want to write a poem, and you don’t know what it’s about. I will fool around on the typewriter. It might take me ten pages of nothing, of terrible writing, and then I’ll get a line, and I’ll think, “That’s what I mean!” What you’re doing is hunting for what you mean, what you’re trying to say. You don’t know when you start.

I literally have been feeling so much love this month and I think a lot of it has been down to me just being brave as hell & not letting my mental health issues  bind me to the house. and its *really* hard and i’ve fumbled a lot but the turning point has been me not letting every fumble consume me for the next 3 days lol.  through going to events and being around other artists, Ive had three people reach out to working with me and some paid work and to be honest there is never a moment when im not shitting myself especially when it comes to working with others, because I'm constantly trying to talk myself out of things through my internal dialogue which sounds a lot like:   can i do this ?  do i deserve this ? which i think a lot of women artists have. and my mind wants to state otherwise but the answer is yes i can do this and yes I deserve this yknow. there is obviously  much room to grow and learn but i will always be enough even when I don't feel like it. The answer is always going to be yes.
