Hello, its mod blue. Its been a while since both our server in discord and the community in tumblr has been active. The amount of active members was reduced significantly throughout the 2020-2021. Some of our members are still (semi) active. You can still find all of the rp blogs associated with DC Speaks under the “Following” tab. Keep in mind a lot of these accounts have also been inactive for the past 2-4 years. If you noticed some of the characters previously announced are no longer visible, that is because we have stop associating with them, have gone independent or are deleted. If the community will continue with a reconstruction or be archived has yet to be decided but I just felt the need to make an update before moving forward.

Hi admins! In your reconstruction are you willing to update the taken characters page? Thanks for your work, can’t wait to see the revival!

Yeah! We're basically starting fresh, and hopefully we find a better way to organize and present our server to both members and applicants/those interested. Things are kinda slow right now since the admins all have a different schedule but I'm trusting that during Thanksgiving break we'll be more productive. Thanks for asking though!

Announcement: Blog Under Reconstruction

You might have noticed the lack of activity over the past few months and that's partly due to the drop of members and inactivity from admins overall but we're currently renewing our server and making some changes to our blog as well in order to keep things consistent. Throughout the next few weeks the blog will undergo some changes and some posts may be deleted and replaced with new information regarding our members. We will also create a new application and restate our guidelines to accurately reflect the submissions and people we're looking for. If you've submitted an application and we haven't gotten back to you, feel free to submit again under out new application (which we will be announcing later). Hopefully, before the end of the year we will recover from lack of activity and be actively running again.

Hello is it true that some rp-er have multiple characters (so multiple accounts)at the same time ?

Sorry for the lack of activity recently, but yes, a single roleplayer can have multiple characters but we have a limit of 3 - any canon characters and OCs are accepted

Yes, it helps to keep track of our members and it's easier to plan role plays and the like when you have the whole community to talk to.

How do you make applications for ocs?

You can fill out the regular application. Section for character's "strengths and weakness you could portray" can be used as weaknesses and strengths (physical or other) that your OC has.

In "character you want to play" place your OCs name and "(OC)" next to it

The last part of the application is labeled "anything [else] you want to tell us" and that can also be used to inform about the OC's status, background, profession or powers.

A requirement for all OCs is that they have powers or an established relationship with a canon character

Note: Not all OCs will be accepted if they have a relationship to a certain character that is taken and character's mod does not feel comfortable or prepared to rp with an OC

New OC

Juliet's father John Kingsley was apart of the League of Assassins, but at one point in his career met Juliet's mother Janice and fell in love. Soon afterwards he decided to leave and runaway from the League and a bit later Juliet was born. Upset and betrayed the League was sent after Juliet's father and both of her parents were found and killed in front of her at a young age. Feeling pity for the young girl Nyssa Al Ghul took her in under her wing and trained her in the League, becoming like a second mother to Juliet. During her training she met Damian and befriended him, which was a surprise since she hadn't seem to really do friends when her parents were killed. By the time she was around twelvish she was ordered by Talia to kill her older cousin to keep her place in the League or die if she refused. At fourteen she ran away from the League and Nyssa let her, wanting what was best for her. Since then Juliet has been around and has even been an assassin for hire a few times never staying in one place too long since being on the run from the League.
