Reading the comics genuinely makes you better at writing characters than non-comic readers. This isn't a hot take: you all play one big game of broken telephone instead of examining the source material yourselves or just making OCs like normal people. Peter J. Tomasi's books are just absolutely chock full of extremely racist & boring as fuck plotlines and I am constantly weirded out by the nostalgia for them, especially his Superman stuff. My Confession is that I like Miriam Delgado. I went into reading her appearances full expecting to hate her based on the way the fandom acted. And I just didn't. What she did was fucked but she was still an interesting character. (Also what happened to her was fucked)

(Maybe it's because I was also a Faith Lehane stan back in the day and she did something pretty similar and I have always liked characters who do shit that's fucked (and framed as so))

it makes much more sense for a rich family in gotham (the drakes) to have connections to a evil secret organization that semi-controls gotham then some random circus performers who traveled all over.
