Well the brief redemption arc was nice while we had it but Arkady makes a great point here, he was good and all he got in return was abandoned the second they didn’t want to use him anymore. Once again left behind in a prison cell by so called allies

Pretty early on the x-men figure out that Arkady’s key motivation for many of his actions is because he’s trying to fix his body. His mutation is eating away at him, he’s stuck in a state that is constantly dying plus the wear of the modifications he’s received we can imagine he’s probably in pretty constant pain. It makes perfect sense that he would go to any lengths to resolve this. Yet time after time we see people like Logan and Cable that come in to stop Arkady but offer him no other resources or help, dooming him to try once again after he recovers . They know that he’s in pain but instead of trying to come up with a solution that would help him without harming others they simply leave him to remain in pain. I think it’s pretty telling how once he received proper help on Krakoa he was more content to just do x-force work instead of actively being a villain. If anybody had offered him a resolve before it’s pretty fair to say that he would not have done so much damage in his pursuit of the synthesizer. Omega Red’s “curse” has been well known to the other mutants for decades and yet not one person had compassion for him up until Creed in 2017, and even before then victor pays a massive role in prohibiting Red from his goals. I just want someone to be nice to him for once oh my god
