We often forget that in the World of Remnant, rwbyverse, despite humanity's advances in technology, harnessing dust, and carving out homes in the most inhospitable places Remnant has to offer- becoming old is a privilege few experience.

Fewer still in the case of hunters. Prime examples would be, everyone's dead parents, Pyrrah, Vernal, un-named hunter from volume 4.

If you're a hunter you court death every day you're still breathing.

Maria was a hunter, and probably kept hunting in secret even after she lost her eyes, and despite that she has lived, and in all likelihood lived longer than many of her contemporaries.

So it's totally natural that she hates kids, These ones in particular because they remind her of her younger self, naivè, hopeful, and filled with a sense of invincibility that comes with youth.

Ofc she resents the rich. Unlike hunters who risk their bodies to slay grim, they languish in their capitals, and she's probably worked enough protecting the cargo of the rich to know how little stock they put in human lives compared to merchandise. Unlike those that die doing this sort of work, she can actually be bitter and complain about it because she's alive.

Her fued with Cordovin cements her character as the grizzled veteran. The only person who's lived long enough for her to actually piss off is an armchair general with a Napoleon complex enjoying a cushy stationing in one of the most peaceful and well guarded outposts staffed by that Atlas Millitary.

Who isn't dead, and totally drunk on her power and authority she slapped a travel ban on cashews.

Tldr: People in Reamnnt rarely live long enough to get old. Maria's so fucking old, and has seen too much to take shit from anybody.

maria is genuinely just. the fucking funniest character in rwby. i crack up every other sentence she speaks. she fucking hates kids, she hates the rich, she hates the military, she hates qrow, and she has to speak to ALL of them and she’s telling everyone how much she thinks it sucks. she also gets into a blood feud with a military general over cashews. truly the most iconic character in the show.

I read that in her World of Remnant voice and it was both arousing and funny.

salem put on a whole-ass new outfit just to go raid atlas. like did she need a bigger tiddy window? absolutely not. no one outside her cohort has seen her in this outfit in a thousand years and atlas is cold as balls. but she woke up and said “hm i think i will ruin atlas while reinventing the fundamental concept of fashion” and i can only respect that energy

Captain planet probably can't be found anywhere, and with Australia on fire, Increasingly colder winter's on the horizon, and trash heaps the size of countries in the Pacific, we could really use a reboot of him to raise awareness of climate change right around now.

Megas XLR was ahead of it's time. Giant robots weren't really popular in the states outside of anime fans and the western audience was more exposed to transformers. It was a giant Mecha/spaceoddessey parody before parodies of anime were popular.

No one remembers when Zoids used to be aired on the Toonami time slot so I can never find anyone to geek out with about that. Sorry but I guess Giant Robot Animals with personalities didn't appeal to people.

She jumped behind a horse trough in front of the saloon, arms still bound behind her back.

Nagisa ignored her and raised his weapon aiming square between Shinji's eyes.

Rei snapped the brake back in and pulled both hammers back.
