July 22, 2016. an interview with rhythmer magazine.

JUSTHIS explains how he comes out with the name of JUSTHIS as his stage name (he was known as TiMe₩ine back then) :

"After releasing a mixtape as TiMe₩iNe, I starts to meet with lots of people from korean hiphop scene. I met with Okasian hyung and learns a lot about hiphop from him and i couldn't help not to think if the name (TiMe₩iNe) is just...a really bad name. One day, while preparing for a new album that was planned to be named Justice, I read Michael J Sandel's book about What Is Justice. During that time I am also a fan of DC Comic and Justice League. The artist of that comic book is someone named Alex Ross. When i was doing art back then, I always want to be a cartoonist. I am truly impressed by these two people (Michael J Sandel & Alex Ross) works to the point I had this vivid dream :

I saw a self portrait of myself in a huge museum, could be an art museum/art gallery. It was made in mozaic style like a villain from the comic book that I just read. It's really cool and when I come closer for the details, I saw the label name "JUSTHIS" was written in the bottom of the portrait.

When i woke up, I immediately write the dream on my iPhone notes and that's the day when I change my stage name"

October 19, 2021

5 years after he tells the story in one interview, a Seoul based photographer Kanghyuk Lee joins 2021 Korea Art Week, the art event focused on photography, held in Art Museum Ilmin and there's a picture of JUSTHIS hanging in the art museum. That picture is a photoshoot of JUSTHIS taken by Kanghyuk Lee for Dazed Korea Magazine February 2021.

A dream comes true moment, I guess? hahaha

It was close enough to the dream he told us 5 years ago minus the mozaic style self portrait like a villain from DC Comic Book and the JUSTHIS label name at the bottom🤭

Recently, JUSTHIS is very active with movie promotions. If i remember it correctly, it starts with him takes a part in "Minari" movie video promotion.

Continues with "The Green Knight" movie where he also make a remix of his old song "Sell The Soul" as a part of the movie's promotional campaign.

On October 15, he attending the private movie screening of "Annette" where he met with the movie's director Leos Carax. Tonight, it seems he's attending the private movie screening of "Dune".

I think his recent activities is directly connected with softoffice. I wonder if softoffice is some kind of environment he create together with his friends, Sonyabi & Kwak Sky....

But well JUSTHIS is a movie enthusiast after all so I am truly happy to see him have a chance to work in other field where he passionate about, other than music of course. I am really looking forward for the next thing he gonna bring to the table in the near future.

Anyways, black haired JUSTHIS is truly something else. He is glowing differently with this black hair.
