This new invention of "planning things in my manic episode and being forced to do them by the time the depressive one hits" has been working very well this year, I must say. I'm a genius. Genius, I tell you.
I finally had a really good summer - a good year so far, actually - when everything happens on time and I don't feel like life is slipping through my fingers as much.
This being said, I'm tired and I wish I hadn't planned this four day trip to the mountains because I love my home and I don't feel like I have good enough condition to challenge myself physically (and socially this time 😭) and also feel like the depressive episode is approaching so this will probably be good for me actually.
HUH.
#leaving this one here to check later to see if I was right#also letting you know I'll be mostly offline for some time#it's for a good cause#I HOPE#no it is#IT IS#I'm pumping myself a little because I'm kinda scared haha

A day at the sea, by the Baltic. It’s beautiful, sunny, rather cool. We’re enjoying the late summer day. — Part of my plan to do quick sketches in between, just so I don’t forget how to draw.

i think i tend to forget how good boredom is for creativity because we're all so addicted to numbing ourselves with screens and stimulation. but standing in the shower or going for a walk with no music or just sitting in your bedroom without being allowed to touch any screens & all of a sudden i have multiple new projects to start, a solution to a months-long plot problem & 4 new original characters
#words#also a reminder for myself#because I KNOW THAT#just the freaking boredom feels like pain at the lowest points so...

I walk into any museum and it always overwhelms me - no matter how small or unique, or unknown.
There's always art I never knew existed; there are always objects of passion and history, and significance. I can never explore enough and I always want to go back.
Learning how small I am, how there are those amazing worlds that existed before me and I will never know them, not really.
It always leaves me wanting more of life.

Wild Geese
by Mary Oliver
You do not have to be good. You do not have to walk on your knees For a hundred miles through the desert, repenting. You only have to let the soft animal of your body love what it loves. Tell me about despair, yours, and I will tell you mine. Meanwhile the world goes on. Meanwhile the sun and the clear pebbles of the rain are moving across the landscapes, over the prairies and the deep trees, the mountains and the rivers. Meanwhile the wild geese, high in the clean blue air, are heading home again. Whoever you are, no matter how lonely, the world offers itself to your imagination, calls to you like the wild geese, harsh and exciting -- over and over announcing your place in the family of things.
