I remember I posted about how my main reason for not getting a nose job is because I would be devastated if someone saw me “fix” my nose and felt the need to “fix” theirs too! and all the replies completely missed my point and acted as if we live in a vacuum: “you’re not responsible for others’ interpretations… but it’s ok as long as you’re doing it for YOURSELF 😍” be serious now. we do not live in a world where women are not affected by societal expectations. would anyone want a nose job if we weren’t told a small nose is peak feminine beauty?
it really made me feel like everyone was saying “nooo don’t make peace with yourself! spend thousands of dollars to look more normal :) #girlboss”
