✨First time✨
-Your first time of being ✨intimate✨with Maddie-
-No actual smut-
-Headcanons-

✨She's nervous. Like really nervous. After all it's her first time with a woman. She knows the basic, but being a beginer makes her a little uncertain.
✨She's usually very confident. She hates being vulnerable, and she does everything to keep up the image, but you know her too well.
✨She knows she's safe with you, after all you've been dating for months, and you've been knowing each other even longer. She trusts in you, and its ease her worry.
✨She defenetly buys some nice lingerie for the special event. She wants to feel good and look good (she always does), and she wants to make you drool over her (you always do). It's probably something light, warm colored, and lacy. It hugs her curves perfectly.
✨She loves herself. It took her years to get where she is, and she's proud of her hard work. However, she's only human, and she really wants you to like what you see. You always tell her how beautiful she is, and your kind words, and gentle touches make her feel better.
✨If you're experienced, then it makes her a little calmer. After all you know what you're doing. If you're also a beginer, then it's a somehow fun, but very special event for both of you. You're both a bit clumsy, unsure if you're doing it right, but you enjoy every moment.
✨The whole act is a dream. She feels like she's the most gorgeous woman in the world. Your kisses, touches, words make her tingle, her skin burning in the best way, her heart racing fast, and her mind is a hundred percent there at the moment. She wants to give the same treatment, and she does her best to make you feel as amazing as she feels.
✨And girl, she is amazing. A natural. The best woman ever.
✨After it you cuddle for a while, talk about the experience, and share every little thought you have. You defenetly make Maddie's first time memorable and wonderful.
✨✨
Hey! Thank you for reading. This is my first time writing headcanon, and I hope I did it right❤️

Old love warmed up
Description: After years of not seeing each other, Emily and Y/N meet again. The feelings of the past come up, and Emily has to make a decision. Leaving her old life or leaving the chance of being with Y/N, again.
Tags: wlw, ex!bau!reader, older!Emily, hurt/comfort, supportive!team, happy ending(?)
Spoiler warning for season 18.

Emily, like most people, hated funerals. She had been to too many, and these were the worst ones, when someone close to her died. She couldn’t imagine how JJ and the boys must feel, and she was angry with herself for thinking how lucky she was to be single.
She had already lost too many people.
“I can’t believe he actually came,” JJ appeared next to her, causing Emily to snap out of her thoughts, and glance at Spencer, who's standing in the corner.
“Of course he did. I had no doubt about it,” she said with a small smile. Although she was uneasy, she tried to contain herself. This wasn’t about her.
“Yeah, it’s incredible how far they come from. Spence, Y/N, the old…”
“Y/N?” Emily’s heart pounded at the name, she tried to remain uninterested, but with little success.
“They worked together for a while before Y/N joined.” the blonde replied confusedly.
“Yeah, really. I totally forgot it.” Emily replied.
“Who is Y/N?” Tara appeared next to them, and they both flinched “Sorry, I didn’t mean to eavesdrop.”
“It’s okay.” Emily began “Y/N was a member of the team for a while, and before that she worked at the same police station as Will.”
“Oh, I see.” Tara nodded, but Emily’s feigned calm didn’t convince her.
It wasn’t long before a familiar figure suddenly appeared. She exchanged a few words with everyone as she made her way further inside. Emily swallowed hard, trying to hide the confusion she felt as she watched the woman walking towards them.
Y/N was beautiful as ever. She was wearing an elegant black outfit, and although the years had left their marks on her skin, she was still very pretty.
“Hello!” she walked up to the three women, first turning to JJ “I’m so sorry!” she whispered as she hugged the woman tightly, her voice full of emotion. After the hug ended she looked at Tara “I’m Y/N Y/L/N.” she extended her hand.
Emily watched the three women talk for a bit, a little awkwardly, and then suddenly Y/N looked at her.
“Hi, Emily.” she said with a small smile. Her body moved a little, as if she wanted to hug her, but in the end she didn’t “It’s good to see you again. I wish it wasn’t under these circumstances.”
“Yes, I agree. It’s good to see you.” Emily replied with a small nod.
The ceremony was touching and difficult, like a funeral usually is. As everyone started to leave, Tara and Rossi also walked out.
“Rossi, who is this Y/N exactly?” she asked curiously.
“Y/N was a member of the team for three years, and before that she was a detective. She’s smart, good with words, and she always had good insights. Then she had an accident on one of the cases, and she left not long after that. She stayed in America for a while, then she moved to Austria.” Rossi told them as they walked out with the crowd.
“Austria? That’s far away. It’s nice of her to fly here for the funeral.” Tara said, surprised and a little touched “Is it just me, or are she and Emily a little weird together? Emily’s been so awkward since she’s been here.”
Rossi smiled.
“No wonder you’re a good profiler. Well, you didn’t know this from me, because there’s really nothing concrete, but the fact is that Emily and Y/N had a strange relationship back then. They never acted suspiciously during the cases, but often if one of them wasn’t home on their day off, the other one wasn’t either, they came together and waited in the yard until the other one arrived up, so that it wouldn’t be seen that they came together. If sometimes we had to share rooms, they almost always immediately reported that they were sleeping together, and things like that.”
“They were together?” Tara’s eyes widened, her voice rose a little, and Rossi chided her.
“Nobody knows for sure. There was never a kiss, a handhold, not even a suspicious touch. The fact is, they suddenly stopped going to work together, and didn’t want to sleep in the same room. Then there was that accident, and not long after that Y/N handed in her resignation.”
“I see. Well, it’s a strange case for sure. Emily never talked about it?”
“No. After Y/N left us, Emily didn’t bring up her name. I think Morgan asked her once what was going on between them, but Emily brushed it off with some obvious answer, and we didn’t push it any further.”
Tara and Rossi weren't the only ones talking. Maybe it was coincidence, maybe it was fate, but somehow Emily and Y/N ended up next to each other on the way to the parking lot. There was an awkward silence for a while, before Y/N spoke up.
“I like your hair. It looks good. It's so…bossy, but in a good way.” she said with a small smile, and the mood lightened a bit.
“Thank you.” Emily replied in a gentle voice “You're in great shape too. Is the Austrian air that good for you?”
“That, and all the hiking. There are so many beautiful places there, it's unbelievable. Also, I have a small garden, and there's always something to do. It's not big, but it's enough for me. The best thing about it is the fresh, home-grown strawberries.” Y/N said with a calm smile, then took out her phone to show a few pictures.
“Wow, what places. Your house is really nice too. It looks really cozy.” Emily sincerely wanted to see how Y/N was living. It had been so long since what had happened between them had happened, but it was still vivid in her memory.
“You can visit me sometimes, boss.” she shoved her phone in her pocket cheekily.
“Absolutely.”
They had already made it out of the crowd and it was just the two of them. They were talking while leaning against Y/N’s rented car.
“Don’t you miss the life you had here sometimes?” Emily asked, her gaze searching for the other woman’s.
“Honestly? No.” Y/N sighed as she played with her keys “I miss you guys a lot. I think about you a lot, I look at our old pictures, but not knowing where I have to fly to tomorrow, constantly being afraid of when I’ll be shot or taken hostage, having my whole life uncertain, I definitely don't miss that.” she looked up with a sad look, her mouth still smiling faintly “My life may not be very exciting now, but I had to leave.”
“I know, and no one ever blamed you for that. You did what was best for you.” Emily snapped, her hand reaching out to grab Y/N, who didn’t pull away.
“So, what about you? Don’t you sometimes feel like it’s all too much? That it would be good to change, or maybe retire?” Y/N asked.
“Oh, I do a lot. Only then I realize that if I leave I would be alone. No work, no friends, and no one waiting at home. It’s better for me this way.” Emily explained, a deceptive smile on her face.
“You don’t have a relationship?” Y/N looked surprised.
“With a job like this? And anyway, I’m too picky.” she rolled her eyes cheekily “And you?”
“No, nobody.”
Emily also looked surprised, but only for a moment. Then a smile of relief took over.
“Maybe you did the right thing by leaving,” Emily said. “You’ve made a nice little life.”
“Even if I don’t help people too much with this job?” Y/N asked, a hint of guilt in her voice.
“Don’t say that. You definitely catch a lot of bad people at the police station there,” Emily encouraged.
“I don’t work at the police station anymore. I became a private investigator a year ago. Most of my cases are about finding missing relatives and catching cheating spouses,” she said with a small smile.
“Oh, that’s important too. Cheaters need to be caught.” Emily giggled.
When there was silence again, Emily broke it.
“You said you think about us a lot. Do you think about me too?” she asked hopefully “Because I think about you.” she added shyly.
“Too many times.” she sighed cheerfully “I have a neighbor who makes wines. He has a very delicious, slightly sour wine. When we drank together last time I immediately thought how much you would like it.”
“Sure.” Emily smiled.
“I’m going now. I’m staying at the hotel next to my old apartment. I’ll stay for two more days, then I’ll fly home.” Y/N said, then got in the car “If you think, come visit me.”
Emily hadn't visited her in the past two days, but Y/N was the only thing on her mind. She nervously ran her fingers through her hair as she hunched over her papers in her office. Her feet were tapping madly, she had been tense to the point of snapping in the past two days, and the team noticed it too.
“Can I come in?” Rossi knocked on the door, and without waiting for an answer, he was already inside.
Emily dropped the pen in her hand, which clattered loudly on the table, then sighed.
“Have a seat. How can I help you?”
“I'd rather ask that.” he said “What's wrong, Emily? We've barely been able to talk to you these past few days, you're completely tense.”
“Why should I deny it, Y/N's arrival upset me a little.” she tucked a strand behind her ear “I thought I was over it, but it seems I'm not.”
“I kind of thought that was the case. Why don’t you talk to her?” the man leaned forward. “Why don’t you try to fix the past?”
“Because her life is in another country, Rossi. She made it clear that she’s not coming back. She has a nice life there, and I might even envy her a little bit.” Emily bit her lip. “Maybe we shouldn’t bother the past.”
“Maybe.” the man shrugged.
“You know, JJ reached out to me this morning.” she picked up the pen to turn it between her fingers.
“And what did she say?”
“Look, Emily, I don’t want to talk into your business…” JJ began as they walked into the building together that morning.
“Then don’t.” Emily snapped, which she immediately regretted. JJ had already enough on her plate. “I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to.”
“It’s okay, just please listen to me,” the blonde said, then stopped. Emily took another step, then she stopped too.
“Sure.”
“Do what you want, just take some advice.” she looked at him with tired eyes “Life is very short, and we have so little time for each other. If there’s one thing you should never miss, it’s the time you can spend with the people who are important to you, wherever that may be.” she said in a choked voice, fiddling with her necklace.
Emily’s heart almost broke for her.
“Okay, I’ll definitely take it.”
“I don’t know what to do. It was so long ago. It would take so much effort, but would it be worth it?” Emily asked.
“Only you can know that, Emily. How much is happiness worth to you?”
While Emily was reeling from her emotions, Y/N wasn't idle either. She visited old friends she hadn't seen in a while, and took care of a few things. She would be lying if she said she wasn't expecting Emily's visit, but she wouldn't admit how disappointed she was when Emily didn't show up on the day of her departure. She even asked at the hotel reception if someone had been looking for her when she wasn't there, but the answer was no.
Y/N was loading her bags into the car in the hotel parking lot when she heard hurried footsteps behind her. The past doesn't pass without a trace, so she calmly, but immediately turned around, her hand already searching for an object that could be used as a weapon, but as soon as she saw who it was, she sighed.
"Emily?" she asked with a small smile. Although it was at the last minute, she was glad that she had finally visited her.
"Y/N, it's good that you're still here." she sighed in relief.
“Unfortunately, you’re late. My plane leaves in three hours, I don’t have much time.”
“You left something here.” she snapped.
“Did I? What is it ?” Y/N looked around in confusion. Her luggage was in the car, her coat too. She looked at Emily, and then she noticed that she had a bag under her arm.
“Me.”
Y/N suddenly laughed. Emily always had a good sense of humor, but when she continued to stare hopefully, Y/N paled.
“Emily, what are you talking about?”
“When I saw you, I thought I had gone back in time, because I felt the same way I did then. I tell myself that it’s over, that it was a long time ago, but every year I write a letter for your birthday, which I then don’t send.” she took a stack of envelopes out of her bag, then put them back in. “I know exactly when you left, and every year I take a good hard look at myself drunk, and wonder what my life would be like if we had made different decisions.”
“Emily…” Y/N’s voice caught in her throat, her heart pounding.
“I love my team, my job, I love helping others, but I’ve been doing it for so long. I’m not getting any younger, and it’s time to put myself first.” she stepped closer.
“So?” Y/N asked in disbelief, because she understood what the woman was referring to, but she didn’t want to believe it.
“Y/N, I think it would be worth giving ourselves another chance.” she said with a small smile, her hands nervously gripping the strap of her bag.
“But how? Would you come to Austria with me?” Y/N couldn’t believe they were here, but Emily’s unwavering face told her she wasn’t kidding. “Emily, this isn’t how it works. You can’t just leave your life here like this.”
“My life is the team, but their life isn’t me. So much has happened lately, and it’s made me realize I need to act.” she trailed off, her eyes searching for the other woman. “I don’t want to wake up one day and realize I don’t have a chance.”
Y/N’s face softened, a hot feeling ran through her body.
“But Emily, this isn’t how it works. We haven’t seen each other in so many years. What if we’re too different now?” she asked, starting to think she was crazy for even considering such an absurd idea.
“That’s exactly why we have no time to waste. We’ve wasted too many years on pride and fear.” she said, then smiled “By the way, the plane is flying back, but I don’t think it will be necessary.”
Y/N shook her head, folding her hands.
“Okay, theoretically, if you really came with me, what would you do there?” she asked with a small smile.
“Well, you worked for the local police, too. I guess there would be a place for me there. Or maybe I could partner with you. I’ll be the undercover agent for your investigations.” she mused with a half smile on her face “I’m a trained spy after all.”
“And that would be enough for you? To find car thieves and grocery store robbers?”
“I don’t care, I just want to be with you.”
“And how would you manage there? It’s a completely different culture.”
“Ich denke, es wird mir gut gehen.” she said cheekily, to which Y/N rolled her eyes and smiled.
“Emily, why is this worth it to you? Leaving your good life here, moving to the other side of the world for what? To play house with me? Am I worth this much?” she asked uncertainly.
“More than that. This is what I want, to drink wine with you, to garden together, to hike in the mountains, to wake up and go to bed next to you.” Emily’s eyes showed genuine longing.
Y/N wanted to make more excuses, but she couldn’t, and deep down she didn’t want to. The idea of sharing the life she had built with Emily was more than a dream.
“You don’t have a plane ticket,” she finally whispered.
Emily laughed, then stepped closer. They were now within arm’s reach of each other. Y/N lowered her arms and held them out, which Emily accepted. They stood hand in hand, but only for a few moments.
“I can’t go with you right now…”
“Then what’s this bag?”
“It’s symbolic. It’s my travel stuff, it’s always in the car. So I’m saying…”
“With the letters in it?”
“No, I’ve only been carrying them with me for the last few days. I’ve reread them all.”
“Can I read them too?”
“No, but can I finally tell you what I want?”
“Why not? If you wrote them to me, why can't I...”
“Y/N!”
“Okay, sorry.” she chuckled. “Talk.”
“So, I can’t go with you right now, but in a week I’ll be standing at your door with my stuff, all the paperwork in progress, and ready to start the rest of our lives together.” Emily let out a sigh. “What do you say? Are you willing to accept a fifty-something, sometimes grumpy, but in great shape, and incredibly funny ex into your life?”
Y/N had always liked to wonder what her life would have been like if she had done things differently in the past. What if she hadn’t studied to be a cop? What if she hadn’t applied for the job on the team? What if she hadn’t left the states? For years, she had wasted too much time dwelling on the past, but lately that had changed.
“This is yours.” she placed a glass of red wine on the table right in front of Emily. “We deserve it after today’s drive.” she smiled, then sat down in the other chair, her own glass in hand.
Emily glanced at her, then took the glass.
“Yeah, we do. Let’s just say when you said you had some strawberries, I didn’t think you meant that much.” she chuckled as she used her free hand to remove the clip from her hair that held it together.
"Well, if I had told you how much work there was, you might not have come with me."
"No way." she reached across the table and took her hand. "It was the best decision I’ve ever made."
Their hands clasped on the table, one holding the glass to their lips as they looked out over the small estate. The only sounds in the background were the chirping of birds, and the mountains around them, the sun just barely visible behind it, flooding the view with a beautiful golden glow.

Vegas Wedding
Description: Maddie and Y/N get married secretly in Las Vegas.
Tags: pure fluff, wlw, wedding, girls in love
Also, I did some research, but still sorry if I wrote something wrong❤️

The sun was shining brightly as their car rolled on the street. Y/N’s hands were light, but firm on the steering wheel, her knuckles occasionally brushing the worn leather.
Beside her, Maddie traced the bouquet in her hands. Her brown hair tumbled in soft waves around her shoulders, a nervous smile played on her lips.
They were somewhere in the stretching desert on the way to Las Vegas. For miles, there had been little but distant mountains shimmering in the heat haze, and the sky.
“Are you okay?” Y/N asked softly, her voice a low murmur.
Maddie turned, her smile broadening. “More than okay. Just can’t believe we’re actually doing this.”
“Believe it,” Y/N said, a genuine smile on her face. Her eyes flicked over to Maddie for a second, full of so much affection it made Maddie melt. “We’re doing it.”
They had planned it in secret. No announcements, no engagement party, and no unapproving looks from people who can't believe that a thirty-something person can realise that they love their own gender, too. While they missed their family and friends, it was for the best. It was just them. Their romantic, slightly insane adventure.
The wedding wasn't traditional, just like they weren't a traditional couple. Maddie was wearing a pretty burgundy dress, her hair in soft waves. Although Y/N loved her with every hairstyle she's tried, Maddie knew that it's her favorite. Y/N was in a your/fav/color outfit, she looked gorgeous, even more than usual.
“But, Maddie, if you don't want it like this, we can go back home. No pressure, never from me.” Y/N said as she glanced at her.
“No, I want this. I'm just a little sad that Evan and our friends are not here, but this isn't about them. This is just about us.” Maddie looked at her, a loving smile on her face.
They soon arrived at the place they had chosen. It was a tiny chapel along the main road, with huge, stained glass windows and a neon sign.
"So, will this be okay?" Y/N looked at Maddie, her heart pounding with excitement, blushing from the heat.
"Perfect. Let's do it." Maddie offered her slightly shaking hand, then Y/N squeezed it reassuringly and they went inside together.
The interior decor was dominated by the colored light filtering through the stained glass. The walls were basically white, but full of pictures of the couples who had married there. The master of ceremonies was a man in his forties, dressed all in white, pretty average, except for his huge pink bow tie and numerous piercings and colorful tattoos.
Maddie and Y/N walked towards the man arm in arm, holding small bouquets in their hands. Soft music was playing in the background, appropriate for the occasion. The man waited for them with a soft smile, and when they arrived they turned to face each other.
"Dear Maddie, dear Y/N! We are here today to officially tie the knot." he began "Maddie, would you please start?"
Maddie put down the bouquet, and then Y/N did, too. They stood facing each other, holding hands, watching each other.
"Y/N. Before I met you, I didn't think love like this existed, and I certainly didn't think I could ever have it. I'm grateful every day that I met you, because you make my life better. I love that you can always make me laugh, that you always look out for me, and that I can always count on you." Maddie began, tears welling up in her eyes. "You saved me, and for that I can never be grateful enough. I promise I will love and support you, always, under all circumstances." her fingers trembled nervously as she slipped the ring onto Y/N's finger. They didn't go overboard, but they still chose two very beautiful stone rings.
Y/N took a deep breath. She didn't want to cry because she had prepared her speech for a long time, but she was very emotional. The way she looked at Maddie, oh beautiful, lovely Maddie, she saw her future. They had fought so hard for this relationship, and in that moment, she truly felt that every minute of it had been worth it.
"Maddie. Before you, I could never truly be myself because I was afraid of what other people thought, afraid of being different, but since you were a part of my life, that has changed. You gave me a new chance and showed me that true love does exist, the kind I never believed in before you." Y/N's voice trailed off, she looked up and blinked to hold back tears. "You say I saved you, but that's also true the other way around. I love you, and I promise I'll take care of you, that I'll support and respect you." sh slipped the ring onto Maddie's finger, and they both looked at the man who was grinning with emotion.
"Now, I ask you to answer my questions with a clear yes or no, but preferably yes." he said jokingly “Maddie Buckley, do you take Y/N Y/L/N to be your wedded wife?”
“Yes, I do.” Maddie replied without hesitation.
“Great. And you, Y/N Y/L/N, do you take Maddie Buckley to be your wedded wife?”
“Yes, I do.” she replied firmly.
“Well, in that case, by the power vested in me by the State of Nevada, I pronounce you wife and wife. May you kiss the other.”
The kiss was hot and passionate, even though neither of them loved doing it in front of anyone else. They parted, grinning.
“Well, wifey, where shall we go?” Y/N asked with a big grin as she held the other’s back.
“Well, wifey, wherever you want. Let’s go to the casino, go for a drive, or just rent a hotel room and kiss all night.”
“Hmm, these will be perfect one after the other.” Y/N giggled, then took Maddie by the hand, and they walked out with big, quick steps, into the Las Vegas night and their new life together.
Happy pride month🏳️🌈❤️

Back for another chance
-Part two of Back from death-
Description: Two months passed since Emily's comeback, and she and Y/N work together fine. However, a case brings up memories and it force them into a nessesary conversation.
Tags: light angst, bau!reader, wlw, hurt/comfort, hopeful ending, insecure!reader, insecure!Emily, also badass!reader, and badass!Emily
Warnings: Possible spoilers for pre season 6, mention of abortus, bad words
English is not my first language, and I tried my best to describe a case. Sorry if it's lame😅❤️

Everyone was apprehensive about working together again, especially with two exes on the team, but surprisingly, things went smoothly. Emily and Y/N worked together in the field as they had before, there was no fighting or awkwardness between them. They both knew that they could only stay on the team if they could cooperate, and that had been no problem for the past two months.
The team flew to Ohio, where they worked on the murder of two women. The community was small and quite closed-off, but most of the people were quite cooperative. They weren’t talkative, but they weren’t averse to helping either.
Emily and Y/N went to a neighbor’s house to interview him. Emily drove, Y/N stared out the window.
“The MO suggests a personal grudge,” Emily said. “He treated those women badly.”
"He probably knew them. The two women didn't look alike, so there was probably something in their lives that made him choose them." Y/N nodded.
"Good insight." Emily glanced at her with a small smile on her face "You've improved a lot."
"You say that as if I haven't been working with the team for years." the other said, although she wasn't offended, she still found Emily's comment belittling "Or was I that bad before?"
"Oh, no, not that." Emily shook her head "That's not what I meant. It's just that you didn't usually speak up for yourself before, and now you just gave your opinion on the station. You've always been smart, quick-witted, logical."
Y/N didn't answer. She licked her lips, which was completely dry from the wind, and then stared out the window again. She always felt a little out of place, and comments like these only made her feel worse.
“What, you feel like I'm belittling you? Did you feel this other time, too?” Emily asked with wide eyes. She was surprised. She never meant to make Y/N feel like anything but loved, supported, and the most important woman in the world.
“It’s not hard next to you.” Y/N mumbled under her breath, but she immediately felt bad. Emily's name was known all over the profession, and she worked hard to be where she is. Y/N was a simple profiler, nobody really knew about her outside of the team. It wasn't Emily's fault though, she always supported and encouraged Y/N, and Y/N always felt bad when she thought like this. “But it's not your fault. It's not you who made me feel like this, it's my brain.”
Emily looked at her with guilt in her eyes.
“Y/N, why didn't you tell me?”
“To make you feel bad about something you can't help? That wouldn't be fair.” she shocked her head “I know you worked hard to be where you are, and you paid big prices for it. I guess I was just always a little afraid that maybe you think we’re not on the same level. It's my insecurity, not your fault.”
“Y/N, oh my, that's not true!” Emily was actually shocked. Y/N always acted so put together, she never really let anyone see this side of her “I never thought I was better than you in any ways. You're so smart, so hard-working. I've always admired your determination. I really wish I knew you felt like this, because I'd have told you how wrong you were.”
There was silence for a while, when Emily suddenly talked again.
“I used to feel like I was not enough, too. Let’s face it, it was always you who organised our dates and made sure to spend more time together.” she sighed sadly “You always knew what to say, and I rarely said that I love you.”
“You said it with your actions.” Y/N said immediately “You always remembered the things that's important to me, you took care of me after the rough cases, and you made sure that I was safe…and I just realised this lately.” Y/N adds quietly, then she looks out of the window again.
Emily glanced at the woman again, and then they drove the rest of the way in silence.
When they arrived at the house, they rang the doorbell. A man answered the door. He was tall but very thin, about fifty, and smelled strongly of tobacco. There was no surprise on his face, as if he had expected the agents to arrive.
"John Roberts? I'm Agent Prentiss, and my partner is Agent Y/L/N. We're investigating the murder of the woman next door, and..." Emily began, but the man's deep voice interrupted.
"You want to ask about the girl next door," he said calmly, he didn't ask, he knew why they had come. He stepped out of the house and closed the door behind him. "What do you want to know?"
"How well did you know Miss Mills?" Y/N asked.
The man shrugged.
"I don't know. She moved here a year ago. I think she worked in a store. That's all."
"I see. Have you ever spoken? Have you ever seen anyone come to him?" Emily continued.
"We said hello to each other. That's all."
Emily and Y/N looked at each other. He wasn't the talkative type, it would be hard to get anything useful out of him.
"Don't you know…" Y/N began amiably, before the man snapped.
"I told you I don't know anything. What the hell don't you understand about this?"
"Sir, please calm down. We're just workin—"
"You always talk about how you're just doing your jobs, but I'll tell you something. You idiots don't give a shit about us regular people." he looked at Y/N while cursing in a raised voice "You only care about money. Those asses confiscated my gun, even though I didn't do anything wrong. Okay, I've had a few mishaps, but I've never hurt anyone."
"Sir, I believe you're angry, but watch your tone." Emily spoke firmly.
"Fuck you. I'll talk the way I want in front of my house." he snapped, then turned to Y/N and spat heavily on her coat.
Y/N gasped, but the next moment all she could hear was the man's moans as Emily pressed him against the wall, his hands clasped behind his back.
"Let me go." he whimpered, but Emily pressed him harder instead. "You can't do this, you fucking sl—"
"I recommend you don't finish this, because you're already in enough trouble."
Y/N watched the events in surprise. They had been spoken to badly before, and there were times when similar atrocities had been inflicted on them, but Emily's quick and decisive reaction was new. She slammed the man against the wall like a bug.
The man was then brought in and interrogated at the police station. Emily was sipping her coffee when Rossi appeared next to her.
"The guy's a pig, but he's not a murderer. His alibi is rock solid."
"Is that for sure?" Emily sighed.
"He was arrested the night of the first murder, and since no one paid bail for him, he slept here." the man added.
"Damn. He was so suspicious to me." she shook her head, then threw the coffee cup away. They left together.
"I think so. He'll have a nice little bruise where you threw him against the wall."
"He deserved it just for the way he spoke, but spitting on someone. That's crossing a line."
"Especially if he spits on Y/N." Rossi added with a teasing smile.
Emily just rolled her eyes, but a small smile tugged at the corner of her mouth. They parted ways at the end of the hallway. In the main room, she found Y/N and Morgan, who were on the phone with Garcia.
"Bunny paw, Prentiss just arrived. Can you tell me what you found again?" Derek spoke.
"Of course. So, I found a couple of similarities between the two women. They were both single, which isn't that strange, there are a lot of singles, but they both paid with credit cards at a clinic a few weeks ago." Garcia began. "The clinic is only a half hour drive from you."
"Were they sick?" Emily asked.
"Not exactly." Penelope's voice was low. "It's an abortion clinic."
"Oh, well, that's a possible reason why they were victims." Emily spoke up.
Although her face barely moved, Y/N knew her too well, and she knew that it hit a nerve.
"Morgan and I are going to ask around a bit," Y/N said.
"No, I'll go with you." Emily insisted as she brushed her hair out of her face "Can we go?"
The drive was silent. This time Y/N was driving, and Emily was staring out the window, biting her lips. Y/N didn't know what to say. She was usually good with words, but this was not an everyday situation.
When they got there, it didn't take long for a fight to break out. Seven people, five women and two men were shouting at each other outside the clinic entrance.
"Hey, what's going on here?" Emily asked, showing her badge.
"We just want to get in, but these people are blocking our way." the younger man said irritably. "Do something."
A middle-aged, gray-haired woman leaned against the gate, blocking the way.
"Ma'am, please move over. We need to go in." Y/N said firmly.
"How can you support this? It's a crime!" the woman hissed, as the other four nodded vigorously.
"We're investigating a murder."
"Exactly! They kill people here every day, but no one cares." another woman, a much older one continued. "You're just ignoring this."
"I'm asking you again to stand aside." Emily's voice grew louder, but she still held her ground.
"Anyone who supports them is just as guilty as them! They're bad people! You're terrible people!" the woman shouted at Emily, who was visibly shocked. Y/N could tell she wanted to speak, but couldn't.
"That's enough!" Y/N snapped, and everyone fell silent. "Who do you think you are to condemn anyone? You say they're bad people, but then what are you? You're shouting here, scaring others, judging people you don't even know. Get out of here, or we'll bring all five of you in for disturbing the peace and obstructing the authorities. Am I clear?" Y/N looked the woman straight in the eye, then at the other four "Get out of here, now!"
It didn't take long for all five of them, albeit cursing, to start walking in the other direction.
"Are you okay?" Y/N's voice was soft, she wanted to reach for Emily's hand to stroke it. She knew how badly this affected her, and she wanted to hug her. Emily nodded vigorously, but it was clear that she was upset by what had happened.
By the time they spoke to the manager and a doctor, there was no trace of her upset. They both acted collected inside, and when they were done, they didn't talk about what had happened anymore.
The case was solved the next day. It turned out that the cleaning man was the murderer, whom her alcoholic mother also tried to abort, but she couldn't, so she drank and hurt the man all his life. They were packing their bags and waiting to leave when Y/N sat down next to Emily. She could tell that she was still a little upset, not as talkative as usual.
"Thank you." Emily's voice was low, she didn't even look up from the floor "I thought I was completely over it after all these years, but it looks like I was wrong." she replied with a sad smile.
"You don't have to thank me. You also did what you could for me. That guy definitely won't spit for a while." Y/N said with a little chuckle, and Emily also looked up and smiled “I hate to admit, but the way you treated that ass made me feel pretty good, and impressed.” she added with a shy smile.
“Nobody can spit on you and get away with it. Not on my watch.” Emily said with a serious look “I have to say, when you sent them away it made me feel safe and impressed, too.”
"It seems we're still a little overprotective of each other."
None of them answer at first. They both looked out of the window.
"Emily." Y/N said, and the other looked at her "I can't promise anything yet, but how about when we get home we go somewhere? Maybe we could eat something." she smiled at her, and Emily immediately nodded.
"Of course, you're my guest." she said with a huge smile.

Back from death
Description: Emily returns from her "death", and while you understand her reasons, you're not ready to start over with her.
Tags: angst, arguing, season 6, bau!reader, wlw (women leave women), hopeful ending (kinda)
English is not my first language. Also, thank you for the likes and reposts on the last post😊❤️

The house was quiet, only the clicking of Y/N's heels made sounds as she walked up and down, picking up her belongings that were still there. It wasn't hard, since she had packed most of them months before in huge boxes and bags. She hated being nervous, and she considered herself a thoughtful person, but then she couldn't help but almost explode. Her stomach was in a knot, her heart was beating a thousand times. She was overly suspicious, which was understandable given the events of the past few months, so it was no wonder she hissed and flinched when someone touched her leg.
"Oh, Sergio." she sighed with a small smile on her face when she saw that it was just the cat. "Are you trying to kill me, honey?" she leaned down to pet him.
As she was lost in the furry creature, she suddenly heard the door open. The faint smile immediately disappeared from her face. She let go of the cat, who ran away with it, and Y/N continued packing. She tried to take deep breaths to stay calm, knowing that her calm would soon be needed more than ever.
"Y/N" she heard Emily's contrite, soft voice from behind her.
Y/N swallowed hard, then slowly turned around. Emily stood there clutching her bag, the same pitiful, guilty expression on her face that she had worn since she returned from her supposed death. It happened a week ago, but she was still on the edge.
"I'm just going to grab a few things, and then I'm not even here. I don't have my key anymore, so I'll just close the door behind me." Y/N's voice was emotionless, as if a robot had been grinding the words, but her eyes reflected deep disappointment.
Y/N looked at the two bags on the bed and hissed mockingly.
"The cheating eight months ago was fake, right? You didn't cheat on me, you just told me you did, so I'd leave." she shook her head with a resigned smile. "You knew it would be obvious if you broke up with me, so you made me think you cheated, so I would break up with you. Fucking genius."
"Please, Y/N, let's talk." Emily took a step closer and dropped her bag on the floor "I'm so sorry, love, please." the remorse was clear on her as she tried to pull herself together, as she avoided eye contact, but still she scanned Y/N's face with her brown eyes.
"Emily, I already told you this is too much for me right now." the girl raised her hand, signaling the other not to come closer "Give me some time."
"Are you mad because I slept with him?" she asked desperately "Y/N, I know it wasn't nice, but..."
"Do you think my problem is that you slept with him years ago?" the girl snapped "If you really care, although I find it disgusting that you slept with a criminal, I know it was necessary to get him caught, and that's why I understand you. So no, Emily, that's not my problem."
Emily's breathing became more and more rapid.
"Y/N…"
"And before you ask, my problem is not that we thought you were dead for six months." she stepped closer, her planned calm gone. She held her anger in for too long. "While I have to tell you that burying and mourning you was pretty shit, I also understand that you had to hide for your own safety until we caught Doyle."
"Then why do you want to leave me?" Emily asked, growing impatient. "If you understand why I had to do what I did, why can't we sit down and talk about it so we can pick up where we left off?"
"Because you lied to me." Y/N snapped, her hands clenched into fists, her nails digging into her skin to hold back her tears. "You lied for months."
"I had to lie, I did it for your own good." Emily was unable to look her in the eye, her gaze bouncing back "I love you, and I just wanted to protect you. If you had stayed with me, Doyle would have killed you. You know what he was capable of." her voice was iron, her eyes misty from suppressed tears.
"Then why didn't you tell me you were in danger? Why didn't you tell us, your team, your family. We would have protected you, you know we would have done everything for you." Y/N raised her voice, her eyes barely visible from the tears "I would have left. If I had known how bad it was, I would have left, but I didn't know, Emily. My life was in danger, more than usual, every day, but I didn't know anything about it. I buried you, I thought I would die from the pain. I had to start my life over, while all I could think about was what I said to you when I thought you cheated on me. I felt guilty about it for months. It wasn't fair." her voice choked "It wasn't fair."
Emily, seeing what she had done to her lover, couldn't hold back her tears.
"I'm so sorry." was all she could say before she burst into tears.
“I understand you, and that's why I feel so bad for treating you like this, but at the same time I feel betrayed, humiliated. I love you, Emily, but if something would happen to you...I couldn't do it again. I'd rather let you go now." Y/N sniffed.
"Nothing will happen, I promise." she stepped closer. "Please, Y/N, please don't give up on us."
"I'm sorry, but there's nothing I can do right now." she grabbed the two bags. "We can be collagues, perhaps friends, but that's all I can offer now. It'll be better for everyone."
Y/N walked out the door, and Emily didn't stand in her way. She knew she couldn't force it. She had to give Y/N time and wait for her to calm down. They would meet at work anyway, so she could at least see her, even if she couldn't hug or kiss her.
Emily sighed and sat down on the bed. She wiped her eyes with an old tissue that she fished out of her pocket. She had to think about how she could convince Y/N that it was worth starting over, but nothing came to mind. She nervously wrinkled the hem of her blouse, her hand wandering to her cleavage, where Doyle had marked her for life.
“You couldn’t kill me, but you ruined me anyway, you bastard.” she hissed as she shook her head angrily “Either way, you took Y/N from me.”
She lay back on the bed, her thoughts wandering. Shs was tired and defeated, but she was sure of one thing. She was going to win her back, one way or another.

Another meeting, another chance
Description: Emily and you were friends before her "death". You got in the team, when one day she comes back. Maybe there's a chance to step up a level?
Tags: light angst, slowburn, bau!reader, season 6, wlw, flirting, Emily smoking, bad humor
English is not my first language.

Y/N fixed her blazer in front of the mirror, as she sighed. It wasn't her first day, she worked with the team for a month now, but it wasn't easier. She still had to learn a lot, and while nobody said it to her, she felt like a replacement.
She walked out of the bathroom, and while she passed the corridor, she saw Penelope. Y/N stopped for a moment, and took a look at her. She was standing in front of “The Wall”, again. Garcia was always nice with her from the first moment, so she decided to talk with her.
“Hey.” Y/N said quietly as she stood next to her.
“Oh, sweetheart, you scared me.” she snapped her head to her with a little smile, but Y/N could see the tears in her eyes.
“I’m sorry, I didn't mean to.” she looked at the pictures on the wall, exactly at the one Garcia was looking at.
Emily Prentiss.
Y/N only worked with her in a couple of cases as an advisor, but she liked her. Much more, they became friends over the weeks. They quickly realised that they shared a lot of common interests, such as cats, speaking languages, and gambling. Emily's humor never failed to make her smile, and while Y/N heard of the rumors that Emily Prentiss is at least a bisexual, if not fully into women, she never thought she had a chance. She just wished to have more time with her.
“When will it get easier?” Penelope asked as she wiped her eyes with a tissue.
“I don’t know.” Y/N shocked her head. She really wanted to say something comforting, but she was bad with words.
They both looked at the framed photo again, then they went into the conference room.
……
Emily Prentiss in fact wasn't dead.
That hit everybody like a truck the moment she walked in the room. Y/N, just like everybody else, was stunned, and relieved. Emily looked so nervous, and Y/N felt bad for her. Faking your own death must be hard, lying and knowing that your loved ones are all sad and grieving because of you couldn't be easy to swallow.
And Y/N also felt bad, because one of her first thoughts was how pretty Emily looked. She silently cursed herself for such thoughts in a serious situation like this.
The next couple of days went in a blurr with catching Doyle, attending the trial, and the next thing she knew is that they're on a case together, again. The mood was still frosty, Emily tried to warm them up.
Y/N walked out of the police station to drink her coffee comfortably, when she noticed Emily. She was sitting on a close bench, smoking a cigarette. Y/N made a mental note to improve her profiling skills, because she's never noticed it before.
“You are either really good at hiding the smell, or you just recently started.” Y/N said with a little smile.
Emily snapped out of her mind, and looked up at her, confused.
“The smoking, I mean.”
“Oh, yeah.” Emily smiled nervously “A bad habit I took up.”
She took one last sluck, then she put out the cigarette, and quickly threw it in a nearby trash can. Y/N sat on the bench, the cup still in her hand. Emily sat back next to her.
“I heard you saved a victim with your idea to look for him in the woods. Good job.” she said, which made Y/N's heart beat faster.
“Thank you, but it wasn't on me. I just put the last piece into the puzzle.” Y/N smiled “But I guess I'll be unemployed soon, now that you're alive again.”
Y/N immediately felt stupid. Why would she say something like this to her? It was bad enough for her already. She felt her face going red, and she was ready to get left behind, but Emily didn’t leave.
She let out a laugh, a real one, and it eased Y/N, too.
“Don’t worry, we always need a good work force, especially if they are smart like you.” she said with a little smile.
“You’re too nice. I thought you'd be mad for the joke.” Y/N played with the hem of her shirt nervously.
“Mad? No, I'm happy that finally someone is treating me normal.” she said “Most people are mad at me, or treat me like I'm made of glass, and while I'm thankful for the latter and understand the earlier, it feels good to be treated like…like nothing happened.” she looked down, a sad smile on her face.
“They'll come around. Give them time.” Y/N wanted to reach out, to put her hand on her thigh to comfort her, but she knew it would be unappropriate.
“Time will heal everything, right?” Emily looked at her “I think time only makes accepting easier. You get used to things.”
“Well, that's also an opinion. I think time can make a lot of changes, but also sometimes not enough.” Y/N looked at her with a little smile.
“Yeah, everything changes, and still not enough.” she smiled as she looked up and down on her “You’re really nice, Y/N, thank you. I think you'll be a good addition to the team.”
Y/N felt her cheeks go pink.
“Wow, I'm flattered.” she tried to play it cool, but she was nervous, and she felt like a schoolgirl who got looked at by her crush.
“You don't have to be. I’m just honest.” she smiled as she stood up “We should go back. There's a lot to do.” she left, but she looked back for a moment “But we definitely should talk more, Agent Y/L/N.”
“We will, Agent Prentiss.” Y/N said with a little smile.

The difficulty of self-acceptance
Description: Maddie and you had a thing for a while, but she called it quits when she couldn't deal with her own feelings anymore. When she learns that you want to move away, she knows she has to do something before it's too late.
Tags: angst with happy ending, wlw, hurt/comfort, internalised homophobia, coming out, fluff, some humor, Buck being the best brother, getting together, the word t*ts used (only once😅), happy ending
Also, thank you for the likes and reposts on the last post❤️

“This can't go on anymore.” Maddie looked at Y/N's back, her voice was sad, but also cold “You know it's not…”
“I don’t want to hide, it was your idea.” Y/N didn’t turn around, she tried to stay strong, she hated crying in front of others, but her voice was slightly shaking “You were the one who said…”
“I know.” Maddie interrupted, sighing “But it's just too much for me.”
“Oh, is it now?” Y/N turned around, her voice sarcastic “But I wasn't too much when you needed some satisfaction?” she folded her hands.
Maddie felt her heart break seeing her like this because of her actions.
“No, Y/N, I swear I never meant to play with you.” she stepped closer “I was just…confused.”
“Confused?”
“Y/N-”
“Don’t.” she snapped “Don’t say it's you and not me. Don't say that I'm too good for this.” she looked into her eyes, her own swelling up with tears “Don’t say you're not into this, cause I saw it, damn it, I felt it, Maddie. That wasn't fake. Don't tell me it was fake!”
Y/N hated being rude, especially to someone as special as Maddie, but she was overwhelmed. Her chest was tight, her stomach in a knot, her knees weak. She wasn’t good at arguing, it always made her cry, but she bit her tongue, and strengthened herself.
“It wasn't fake.” Maddie's voice was low, her eyes full of shame “But I don't want this. I…”
“I don’t care about your sorry excuses.” she said cold, her whole body tense “You made your choice, and that's all I care about. If you don't want me, then you're not forced to stay.” she turned around.
“Maddie.”
“Maybe it's better like this.” Y/N looked at her hands, picking on her nails “There's a reason why I avoided relationships anyway.”
“Maddie.”
“I think I should go.” Maddie said.
“Maddie!” Buck shook her shoulder “Earth to sister, do you hear me?”
“Sorry.” Maddie snapped out, and looked around her brother's loft “What were we talking about?”
“My new workout plan, but whatever. You're not ever here. What's wrong?” he sat next to her on the bar stool.
Maddie sighed. She got lost in her thoughts again. It's not the first time since her break up with Y/N. Break up is not the right word, you can't break up if you're not even dating, but you also can't call a relationship a simple friendship when you slept together, shared dreams and fears, and questioned your sexuality.
“Y/N?” Buck asked uncertainly, and when his sister didn’t answer he knew he was right. He knew about her and Y/N, everybody knew about them. It was an open secret, but nobody knew what was exactly going on between the two girl.
“She's moving today.” Maddie licked her lips, her mouth was dry from the anxiety she felt the whole day.
“I know. She was at the station earlier, she said goodbye.” he put his hand on her back, rubbing it comfortingly “I’ll miss her. Vegas is not far, but it's not the same when we see her every day.”
Maddie fidgeted with her necklace. Her breathing was heavy, as so many times that day. Since she got to know from Hen that Y/N asked for a transfer, she was on the edge. A month passed since they ended things, but it didn’t get easier.
“Maddie, can I say something?” Buck asked.
“Sure.” she nodded.
“Whatever was going on between you and Y/N-”
“Evan, don't, please.” she looked down, feeling her stomach flipping.
“I love you, and I support you.” Buck said quickly, before Maddie could get out with some lame excuse “I don’t care if you're just friends, or girlfriends, or just casual partners. I love you, and nothing will change that.”
Maddie's heart was beating wild, she was stunned, her eyes sparkled with unshed tears. She felt overwhelmed, and strangely relieved, like not in a long time.
“I…I don't know what's going on with me. I never felt like this, and I'm scared. I shouldn't feel this, I mean I'm over thirty, I should've already figured this out.” Maddie's voice was weak, she held back the crying, and it choked her.
“Oh, Maddie.” Buck hugged her tightly, caressed her back, and gave a kiss on the top of her head “Feeling like this is perfectly fine. I know this feeling, the guilt, the uncertainty.”
He let her go, and looked at her.
“There's nothing wrong with loving your own gender. I don’t care who you love, I just want you to be happy and safe.” he pushed a lock of hair behind her ear.
“But that's the problem, Evan. I don’t…I'm not…not with other women. It's only about Y/N.” she said confused, a tear trickling down her cheek “I never felt this to other women, only to Y/N.”
“It doesn't matter. The only important thing is that you love her, and she loves you.”
“I don’t think she does anymore.”
“You don't know that. Listen, Maddie. I know it's not easy, and it won't be for a while, but if you really want her, then you have to fight for her.” he looked down for a moment, and sighed “Believe me, if you let her go now, you’ll regret it.”
Maddie knew he was right. If Y/N really wants to move, then she can't stop her, but she can't let her go without trying.
“I have to go.” she picked up her coat and bag, but before she left, she quickly gave a kiss on the cheek to Buck “I love you, too. Thank you.” she said, then she ran away.
Y/N didn’t live far from Buck's loft, and Maddie used all her power and strength to run as fast as she could. Her lungs were on fire while she reached her destination, but it was worth it. Y/N was still there, packing bags in her car. She stood three feet from her, as she tried to catch her breath. Y/N stopped packing the bags, and slowly turned around.
“What do you want?” she looked down on her “You ran here?” she asked, surprised.
“We have to talk.” Maddie started as she walked closer “Y/N, you can't leave.”
“Oh, and why not?” she huffed “You were clear. You don't want me, and I respect that, but I also want you to respect that…”
“I want you.” Maddie herself was surprised how easy it was to say it out loud, and how right it felt.
“Are you kidding me?” Y/N let out a sarcastic laugh “Maddie, what the actual fu…”
“I was wrong, and too scared to admit my feelings, even to myself.”
Y/N's face wasn't derisive anymore, but honestly surprised and a little sad. She folded her hands in front of her chest.
“Maddie, I-”
“I’ve never felt like this before, Y/N.” she stepped closer, her eyes sparkled with tears already “All these feelings, all these thoughts about you, about us. As much as I love them, they also scare me, because I’ve never felt like this for someone, especially for a woman. I just didn’t want to fight, I didn’t want to be scared again. I did these for too long.”
Y/N felt really bad for her, and she understood her. She went through the same process years ago.
“I just wanted to live a happy, calm life, but now I know that this isn’t possible without you.” her voice was high, the crying made her throat tight.
“I know this feeling.” Y/N turned around to put another bag in her car “When I was a teenager, I had this girl, Kim, in my class. We were friends, kinda. She was beautiful, smart, the kindest soul, but I was just finding out about my sexuality, my feelings for women. I was too ashamed, too scared to make a move, and when finally I was ready, she moved away for college.”
“Oh.” Maddie licked her lips as she looked down. She felt something very unpleasant, deep in her stomach. She was jealous, and she felt really stupid for it “Why don't you find her now?” she didn’t want her to find this Kim, but she wanted Y/N to be happy.
“Nah, last year I checked her social. She has two kids, and worst of all, she's married to a man.” she turned back, a little smile on her face.
Maddie giggled, she always loved Y/N’s humor, and she could always make her smile, even on her bad days. She loved when Y/N was a little flirty, so she decided to make her move.
“Well, at least I don't have a competitor.” she said with a teasing smile, trying to sound smug, but she was nervous.
“A competitor? In what? Breaking my heart?” Y/N asked, but she didn’t look mad, more sceptical “Okay, just to be clear. First you break our months long affair, then you watch for weeks as I suffer, only to when I'm finally ready to move on you come here, and you say you want me? Am I right?”
Maddie felt terribly guilty again. She never meant to hurt her, or play with her, and while she knew she was confused with her own feelings, she really played Y/N. She gave a small nod.
“Tell me one good reason why I should give us another chance.” Y/N put her hands in the pocket of leather jacket, and leaned on her car.
Maddie's mind was running at high speed. She wanted to say too much at once. She wanted to say that she knew Y/N like nobody else, that she knew her dreams, her fear of losing someone, her beliefs in humanity, and her doubt in herself. She wanted to say that she could make her happy, that she would give her everything, and would gladly improve to be with her.
“Because I love you.” Maddie said finally, because from all the things she wanted to say, that was the most important.
Y/N's neutral face fell, a touched, emotional look appeared, then she smiled.
“You could have just said you can make good cookies,” she said with a teasing smile “and you have good tits.”
Maddie looked surprised, her cheeks flushed, but she wasn’t offended, not even a bit.
“Sorry, that was disrespectful.” Y/N said, her heart beating fast, she really felt bad “I’m just nervous, but still, this wasn’t a nice thing to throw at you…I mean, of course you have nice breasts, that wasn't even a question, it just…”
Maddie let out a whole hearted laugh, her smile reached her ears, and this made Y/N smile, too.
“Please, don't go.” Maddie said as she stepped closer.
“Well, I guess the transfer can be undone.” she smiled, and pulled her closer by her arms “Do you really mean it? Do you really want to start again with me?” she asked hopeful.
“There's nothing I want more.” Maddie said, and pulled her into a tight hug.

Stuck together
Description: Y/N suffers an injury, and Maddie, while being the worried girlfriend she is, being there for her.
Tags: fluff, comfort, wlw, girls in love, little humor, Y/N is a firefighter

Maddie arrived home after a long shift. She's pretty tired, she dealt with too many bad calls, but the thought that Y/N was at home made her smile. Sometimes she couldn't believe how far they'd come. When she first realised that she's in love with Y/N, Maddie was confused and scared. It was hard for her to trust again, but she was glad they worked it out.
She walked in the kitchen.
"Hey, Y/N." she smiled as she called out her name. She knew Y/N finished her shift before her. They always sent messages to each other when they arrived at work or home. It wasn't about trust or jealousy, it was about knowing if the other is okay.
They didn’t care where the other was, they cared if they're safe.
"Hey." she heard Y/N's tired voice "I warn you, I'm not a good sight, but I promise it's not as bad as it looks.”
Maddie chuckled, her heart feeling warm at the sound of Y/N's voice. "I'm sure you look as beautiful as ever, no matter how bad you look." she teases.
"Well, I warned you. " she said embarrassed.
As Maddie walked in the living room, she gasped as she saw Y/N with a bandage on her hand, and a bruise on her face.
Maddie hurried over to her, concern etched on her face. "Oh my, Y/N, what happened?" she asked, her voice filled with worry.
"I fell from a roof." she said, her tone dismissive, as she gently touched the bruise on her face. "It's no big deal, really. I just landed wrong."
"No big deal?" Maddie asked, her tone concerned "Are you kidding me? You fell from a roof, of course it's a big deal."
"It was just a garage, and I mostly landed on your brother." Y/N said with a little smile “Don't worry, he got away easier than me. He only got a few bruises on his arm.”
Maddie relaxed a little. "You're lucky it wasn't anything higher." she said, sighing in relief as she shook her head.
"I know." she said with a nod, a small smirk on her face "I wouldn't want to give you any more reasons to worry."
Maddie rolled her eyes playfully. "Yeah, cause you never give me a reason to worry, right?" she teased, a hint of sarcasm in her voice.
“I’m sorry, baby.” Y/N looked at her with a little shame in her eyes. She hated to make Maddie worried.
“Hey, no.” Maddie knew her too well, she knew that her girlfriend feels guilty about things she can't control. Maddie put her hand on Y/N’s face, her soft skin contacted with the other’s warm cheek “It’s not your fault. You just did your job, you tried to save someone.”
“We were rescuing a cheating husband.” she said with a little smile “The wife tried to beat him with a tennis racket, and to hide from her he jumped from their window, straight onto the garage roof.”
“Ah, men.” Maddie giggled “And you were the one who fell off. Life is not fair.”
“You tell me.”
Maddie looked at Y/N with a loving smile on her face as she pushed a lock of hair behind her ear.
“Please, be careful.” she said quietly “I can't lose you.”
“Don’t worry.” Y/N grabbed her hand gently and gave a kiss on it “You can't get rid of me. We're stuck together like the wife and her tennis racket.” she tried to look serious, but her smile gave her away.
“You’re such a fool.” Maddie gave her a little hit on the arm, but her tone was anything but mad “Your only luck is that I love you.”
“I love you, too.” she said, now seriously, and pulled her into a kiss.

Story starts under the line.
Hey! This is my first time posting here, also my first wlw fic. English is not my first language, so please forgive me for the bad grammar.
I started the series last week, and I'm in love😍with the one and only Leslie Shay.
I hope she will get her happy ending😊
(I already spoilered it with a tiktok edit.)
This story is inspired by personal experience.
If you ever feel like this, never forget that you're loved, and you're allowed to have bad days❤️
After a long day, Leslie wanted nothing more than to finally take a hot bath, eat a hearty dinner, and cuddle up with her girlfriend. A smile crossed her face as she thought of Y/N. She had been her partner for over a year, but to this day she still grins like a teenager, her face blushing, her heart beating faster when she thinks about her. She didn’t like to show her sensitive side to the outside world, so only Y/N could enjoy that. Their relationship is almost perfect, and almost is only a necessary adjective because they also have bad days when things don’t go smoothly. Luckily, the happy days dominate.
“Hello, baby.” she greeted loudly when she entered the apartment. There was no answer.
She quickly took off her shoes and threw down her bag. Y/N’s keys, shoes, and water bottle were in place, so she knew she was home. They had only been living together in the shared apartment for a few months, but she knew that her partner wouldn't go anywhere without them. She went inside and found Y/N lying on the couch, wrapped in a blanket, headphones on her head, her eyes closed.
Leslie paused for a moment. Y/N was wrapped in that powder-colored chenille blanket that she had bought for her, because she quickly learned that Y/N was always very cold. Y/N's face was calm, as was her breathing. She liked seeing her like this, because she knew that Y/N had her hard days, too.
She stepped carefully next to her, not wanting to scare her. Y/N's eyes immediately widened as she took off the headphones, her face becoming alarmed, but as soon as she realized it was only Shay, she immediately calmed down, a tired smile spread across her face.
"You didn't answer when I came in." gave Leslie a small kiss on the cheek.
"Sorry, I didn't hear you." she replied, then pulled the blonde towards her for a proper kiss, who immediately returned it.
"Yeah, that's what I like." Leslie smiled at her cheekily.
"How was your day?"
"Tired. Long as usual. A guy tried to hit on me, but with a line even worse than Peter Mills." she rolled her eyes with a small smile on her face "And you? Something exciting?"
Y/N shook her head.
Leslie already knew the girl pretty well. She knew what she was like when she was happy, she knew that when she was nervous she would drum her feet, or that when she was angry, she would be quiet. She knew that when she was excited, she would talk loudly, and when she got turned on, she would constantly play with the blonde's hair. That's how she also knew what it was like when she had 'one of those' days. Those anxious, hard, patient-trying days.
And it was also telling that her usual eye makeup was washed off, even though she only took it off when she took a shower in the evening or when she cried.
"Baby, are you okay?" Leslie caressed her face "You're usually playing or watching TV at this time."
"I've had a hard day, but I'm fine now." she said with a forced smile.
"Are you sure? I know you've been a bit stressed lately, your work, my accident, and it's okay if..."
"Leslie, I'm fine." she snapped at her, which immediately made her feel bad, and it was obvious "I'm so sorry. I've just been a bit stressed lately, with all the headaches, tight chest, dizziness, and I think it's really gotten to me today."
"Do you want to talk about it?" Leslie asked softly, leaning back on the back of the couch.
"Just the usual. Racing mind, all sorts of unpleasant, scary thoughts, I feel like a wrung out sponge. I slept like eight hours last night, but it feels like two." she listed, staring at her hands, her fingers playing with each other.
"I'm sorry." Shay took her hands.
"Now I'm bothering you with my nonsense, which doesn't even exist, when you see terrible things every day and still don't complain." she looked up sadly, tears welling up in her eyes and her voice getting jerky "I hate myself when I'm like this, I feel so guilty about everything, every little thing, and logically I know it's stupid, but I often feel like I'm such a bad and ungrateful person." she sniffed, then took her hand away to look for a tissue.
“Baby, I…”
“Like today, when there was a lot of work and a deadline looming, and I was just complaining to myself instead of being happy that I have a job, when so many people don’t have one. And now I’m here feeling sorry for myself. I know it's so pathetic, but I can't help, but feel like I don't deserve this comfortable life.” she shook her head, her expression revealing that she was angry with herself.
Leslie’s heart nearly broke for her lover. She wished she could help her, take away her doubts, her pain, but since she couldn't, the most she could do was accept and support Y/N.
“You’re not a bad person.” it was the first thing she could say, because the mere thought of Y/N being anything but a good person outraged her. "Even if that wonderful brain of yours says otherwise, I know you're a good person. I've seen bad people, people who enjoyed the bad things they did, and you'll never be one."
"Leslie..."
"You're not ungrateful. Just because you get mad sometimes doesn't make you ungrateful. Everyone has days when they hate their job or anything else, but those are just occasions. I probably don't know another person who is as grateful for their life, for their loved ones, for their things as you are. The way you appreciate everything and everyone is unprecedented. If you weren't like that, I wouldn't be with you, and even though you always say I save lives, that's true for you, too." she smiled at her partner, who was already in tears.
"Oh, Les." she sniffed.
"You save mine every day, by letting me know that there is someone waiting for me, who loves and accepts me, who can put up with my long shifts, and the fact that I get hurt too often. Your friends, your family, and I, who you always support, know what kind of person you are."
Y/N was wiping her eyes on the sleeve of her sweatshirt, then she threw herself around Leslie's neck, and hugged her like there was no tomorrow. The blonde held the girl tightly, and stroked her back.
"Thank you for being there for me." Y/N looked at her with eyes sparkling with tears.
"You don't have to thank me." Leslie stroked her face with a small, but all the more loving smile "When you massage my back, when you make food for me, when you always make sure my favorite snacks are at home, when you listen without judgment. That's when you thank me, and I hope I can make you feel how important you are to me, too."
"You can." she said with a small chuckle "When you say things like that, even though I know you're not very emotional, I always know."
"Then it's good, because I'm only like that with you." she laughed.
"Oh, believe me, I enjoy it." she smiled cheekily as he twirled a blonde lock of hair. "What you said was so beautiful, but you know that reassurance seeking doesn't help, right? I mean, it does for the moment, but in the long run it's not good, and I gabble again..."
Y/N couldn't finish her sentence because Leslie silenced her with a kiss that was as sweet as honey.
"What did you say?" the blonde asked cheekily as she ruffled the other's hair.
"Nothing." she replied in a soft voice. "I know myself well enough to know that I'll be fine in a few days, but until then you'll have to put up with this." she added with a shy smile.
"Oh, believe me, I'm not just putting up with you. I, baby, enjoy every minute we spend together." she said, then pulled Y/N into a deep, wild kiss again.
