@iteratorsex care to elaborate?
This is a weird thing to say but I'm on the fence on whether or not Watcher (the slugcat), ST, and Prince are actually real. I think everything that happens around them is real, and that the events COULD happen
But they could also just as equally exist as some kind of folktale, with no direct impact on the vanilla campaigns
Watcher is... very disconnected from the Vanilla story and timeline, but we see more of the world. It's like we're going backstage while the play is still ongoing
Maybe the areas Watcher explores aren't even real in themselves, being the imagined planes Moon talks about

Maybe this isn’t on my radar because I spend most of my time thinking about iterators, but I haven’t seen any analysis of what the Fuck is going on with the Scavenger Disciples and Templars in the Watcher DLC. What are they doing?? How did they get those abilities???
#prev yeah I can believe that the templars/disciples are all holed up somewhere in vanilla-#-having some kind of intense karma flower sesh#that seems like something the scavengers would do#rain world#watcher spoilers

#the masks/karma makes me think that they’re emulating some basic aspects of Ancient/Benefactor culture#scavengers are aware of the concept of Karma. they use the symbols in their graffiti#I feel like this hints at Karma being a fundamental thing that any sufficiently advanced society will learn to harness at some point#idk. if there are any good posts about this please feel free to send them to me#personal#rain world#watcher spoilers

the human mind is prone to catastrophizing when left unoccupied. And that’s why it’s important to always have a little Blorbo to rotate in your head. It acts as a protective charm of sorts to redirect your imagination away from harmful spirals
thoughts without Blorbo: oh my god I was so cringe in seventh grade why did I do that
thoughts with Blorbo: I haven’t considered the interactions with bleebus; I must rectify this immediately

Why the fuck does FP have so many cages inside him why are they all in the bottom left. Why are those neurons imprisoned
#prev yes it is reminiscent of cabinet beasts#the chasing wind mod actually puts cabinet beasts inside CW’s superstructure behind these same types of grates#like a form of organic memory storage? idk it’s interesting#rain world#rw lore

Rain world fandom
This has ruined me for months it genuinely drives me up a wall, I've been thinking about it for a while? If you can enlighten me please you are welcome to.
Why the hell does it rain in shaded shitadel?? It makes no sense, there's actual no reason for it to.
The cloud layer isn't below Pebbles, because it would be cloudy/rainy in his underhang and it's not. Plus we can see where the cloud layer actually is. It's higher up his wall.
He covers shaded and there is NO sun, there shouldn't be clouds either he's like a massive umbrella that doesn't work for some reason. Not only did those people have to deal with complete darkness, but he still rained on them and I have no idea why.
If you want to bring gameplay reasons I still don't get it. You could just bullshit something with the green storms perhaps to keep the cycles?
And imagine how cool would it be as foreshadowing. Why doesn't it rain? As you climb his leg you won't realize, but when you reach Pebbles' underhand and wall you understand. You were climbing him and he's a superctructure that covers the citadel.
It shouldn't rain there aaarhg
