Conversation
Franz Kafka for the Signs
Aries: "Nothing holds me. Let me say that I myself have torn myself to shreds."
Taurus: "Last night I dreamed about you. What happened in detail I can hardly remember; all I know is that we kept merging into one another. I was you, you were me. Finally you somehow caught fire."
Gemini: "I’m always trying to convey something that can’t be conveyed…to explain something inexplicable, to tell about something I only feel in my bones…"
Cancer: "I need all the time and a thousand times more than all the time and if possible all the time that exists, for you, to think of you, to breathe in you."
Leo: "By believing passionately in something that still does not exist, we create it. The nonexistent is whatever we have not sufficiently desired."
Virgo: "By your side I’m most quiet and most unquiet, most inhibited and most free."
Libra: "I mustn’t look at you too much, or I won’t be able to take my eyes off you at all."
Scorpio: "I never wish to be easily defined."
Sagittarius: "Once I enjoy a person, that joy knows no bounds."
Capricorn: "I am not actually tired, but numb and heavy, and can’t find the right words. All I can say is: Stay with me, don’t leave me."
Aquarius: "Don’t despair, not even over the fact that you don’t despair. Just when everything seems over with, new forces come marching up, and precisely that means that you are alive. And if they don’t, then everything is over with here, once and for all."
Pisces: "Please, consider me a dream."

The Signs as Aristotle Quotes:
Because, I’m incredibly bored and he’s one of my favourite philosophers!
Aries: “You will never do anything in the world without courage. It is the greatest quality of the mind next to honour.”
Taurus: “We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit.”
Gemini: “All men by nature desire knowledge.”
Cancer: “What is a friend? A single soul dwelling in two bodies.”
Leo: “There is only one way to avoid criticism: Do nothing, say nothing and be nothing.”
Virgo:  “It is the mark of an educated mind to be able to entertain a thought without accepting it.”
Libra: “At his best, man is is the noblest of all animals; separated from law and justice, he is the worst.”
Scorpio: “I count him braver who overcomes his desires than him who conquers his enemies; for the hardest victory is over self.”
Sagittarius: “The roots of education are bitter, but the fruit is sweet.”
Capricorn: “The ideal man bears the accidents of life with dignity and grace, making the best of circumstances.”
Aquarius: “No excellent soul is exempt from a mixture of madness.”
Pisces: “The aim of art is to represent not the outward appearance of things, but the inner significance.”

Does anyone recognize this painting, can explain this, or has any insight on the origins? Greatly appreciated.

'Helmut Newton said, 'There is never too little light. If you have a tripod, and a little lamp, you can make a beautiful picture,' he says. 'Penn showed me importance of using equal amounts of light, that if you use a strong direct flash, there should be equal indirect soft light. Light is photography, and both of those men know it.'

"The Fuccons," or "Hey Mikey!" as it's called in Japan, is a show about an American family that moves to Japan. Created by Yoshimasa Ishibashi, it follows the exploits of Mikey and his parents, James and Barbara. All the "actors" are mannequins. Each episode is two to three minutes long and focuses on one, relatively mundane event in The Fuccons' lives and always ends with them inexplicably laughing hysterically.
