"Old Souls" AU

When Muzan messes with Yoriichi and Tamayo's family once more, the two become resolute in ending the Demon Progenitor reign of terror.

Im that anon *again*, if you want ideas for the old soul au. I think the ones who'd be more likely to die in the kamado kids would be Rokuta and Shigeru(the two youngest), if they got fatal wounds they wouldn't be able to survive because usually, children that young dont survive being turned what difference would it make about hybrids? so Hanako, Takeo, Nezuko and Tanjirou would be the ones to survive if you want. Sorry again for being kinds annoying

Wait a minute, I kinda like that! Maybe they have to grow up fo become more demon-like, it would certainly explain why they would grow up in the first place!

Hmmm... that can certainly work! It seems like the perfect compromise.

Also! I have a question for old souls, did Yoriichi take the surname Kamado after the og Kamados he saved?

I imagine Sumiyoshi and his wife do not exust on this au, as them being around would complicate things. Yoriichi and Tamayo probably just picked the surname themselves.

A few designs for this random AU I came up with. Im still having a lot of trouble ironing out the kinks in it, but that's part of the fun.

Also, yes, Yoriichi is hiding his mark while Tanjiro, who inherented it, still presents his.

New AU Concept?

Basically I was like "haha Yoriichi looks like Tanjuro & Tamayo looks like Kie... wait a minute-"

Anyway I laid out my thoughts but i still need to polish things and figure other stuff out, like: Will Yoriichi be a demon in this AU? Probably, but what about the Kamado children? Should this be a wholesome "Demon Family" deal or should the kids die and Yushiro and Tamayo embark on a vengeful quest? Idk that's why I'm pitching it to you guys.

Am I cooking or nah?

Also! There is always the option of him turning one of them into an actual demon and Then promptly stealing them under the assumption they were yoriichis *descendants* not actual blood direct children. Of course this is just an idea, not a demand! Sorry if this seems pushy

You aren't being pushy at all! In fact I much appreciate your eagerness as I too am quite excited with this little au!

For Yushiro's role... well i suppose he wouldn't have one, since here Tamayo would already have a partner to assist her. Maybe he could be something different, like a Slayer or a Kakushi, or perhaps something completely unrelated, who knows.

Okay so, I have another idea(I really like this au so far);

But I think that they'd come out of hiding, if their children were *hurt* severely. Because yes, they become less human but they aren't demons yet. Like for example, if one of them gets beheaded, their head will regenerate but it won't work properly. Or, like maybe if they get a fatal wound(for a human) basically maybe if it's their neck, they cannot speak even after they heal, it they get a head injury, they cant see, and when they get that first regeneration, they cannot regenerate missing limbs. Because basically, humans can survive without a limb. Like their regeneration depends on the harm of the wound, if that makes sense.

Oho! That does sound compelling. Maybe Muzan was not aware of the Kamado's true nature and he simply dealt fatal blows and left the scene. The children then could be wounded and momentarily crippled, causing Muzan and Tamayo to jump into action...

Yet I still have my issues. Namely that I would really still like for some of them to actually die to raise the stakes a bit more... But idk.

Still, I am happy you are enjoying this concept! I too am beginning to really like it as well!

Okay, so im the anon. And i have an idea!

I think that they'll be basically human, immune to the sun and unable to do blood arts-but when they get injured, their body will start to regenerate and basically start to mutate into becoming stronger, to live essentially. They'll become more demon almost invincible. So, i think brute force cant kill them neither can nirichin or wisteria. Because humans dont have those weaknesses, and demons have immunity to other weaknesses. Im not sure if rhat makes sense.

On one hand, I like the idea on a conceptual level, it's basically invincible kids -but the more hurt they get, the less human they become! It could lead to some unique and intriguing scenarios for sure!

But on the other, them being essentially immortal would conflict with the idea I have of having (at least one) of the Kamado children die so it pushes Yoriichi & Tamayo to come out of hiding and seek to end Muzan once more...

(Also, it adds the problem of the Kamado children becoming a unkillable threat, as they would have no weakness to be put down with...)

For how Tamayo managed to conceive children, since she has a different body than other female demons-I think it'd be possible albeit maybe the children are more human than demon even if both parents are demons.

It'd be very cute if they did live, I think that'd throw the demon slayers for a whirl!

Interesting... That would be nice, having the children be more human, but what exactly would that mean? Would they be immune to the sun but unable to do blood demon arts? 🤔 then what would be demonic about them? Maybe their healing factor?

And as per the last part, maybe I could be devious and start it as a cute peaceful demon family story... only to have tragedy strike when least expected 😈

Demon Slayer SWAP AU - Butterfly Demon Sisters.

Just to satisfy my curiosity about the deceased Hantengu brothers since they died from demon related causes, did they get killed by some random unnamed demons or did they also die at the hands of Sanemi much like Aizetsu?

I think it makes more sense for them to have been killed by unrelated demons. It be very coincidental if Sanemi managed to kill all of the Hatengu quadruplets...

I have another swap idea this time regarding unnamed minor characters. Maybe Shinobu's previous Tsugokus can swap with the other spider demon siblings that isn't Aniku & Kumane? Also on a sidenote regarding the Butterfly demon sisters some more if you don't mind, you mentioned before that Aoi could possibly have special pheromones to control people (Assuming if that doesn't get changed to something else.) but what would Kanao's blood demon art be like?

Oh yeah, that is a great inclusion to this AU. The previous Tsugukos fit that role perfectly!

Now, as of Kanao's Blood Demon Art, I still don't know what I'll do. Probably something similar to spider sister, web-cocoons, perhaps enveloping her prey with chrysalis or something of the sort 🤔

Following a mission, Tanjiro, Zenitsu, and Inosuke head back to the Butterfly Mansion, but instead of the comforting fragrance of wisteria flowers, they are met with an unfamiliar scent: Red Spider Lilies. This proves to be not the only change to the reality they have been accustomed with, as everything about the Demon Slayer Corps seems to have changed…

Or, Tanjiro and his companions find themselves in a swapped version of their world. One where demons become slayers and blue spider lilies become red wisteria...
