This was meant to be a quality blog when I started, but now it's just a typical crap blog. Enjoy?

Hello, tumblr folks. As you can probably guess by the title of this post, I am looking for some assistance. A feral cat that lives near my house recently gave birth to kittens, and I'd like to be able to take one in.
I currently work at a YMCA camp; a rewarding job but doesn't quite allow for all too much extra spending money. Throw in two college degrees to pay off, and I think you can understand the situation.
We had no intention of mama cat giving birth. She was signed up for a trap, fix and release program only to be too far along in pregnancy for the doctor to perform the spay. Three days later, three new kittens were residents of camp. The costs to adopt one of these kittens, while not soul-crushingly high, are hard to scrounge up quickly on a non-profit organization salary.
Through community vet clinics, I will be able to get the cost for shots, microchipping and spay/neuter reduced quite a bit. The total still will come out to about $263, a total just outside my comfort zone of spending right now. Once those initial costs are covered, I'll be able to easily budget monthly expenses for food and such. We also want to take mama in to get fixed for sure this time, although it will likely be a little more expensive since it won't be through a population control program.
I've created a GoFundMe campaign to assist raising funds for the kittens. Of course, there are some perks on it which range from stupid to not terrible. Brainstorming is still ongoing for bigger and better perks to add throughout the campaign.
Donations, sharing this post, suggestions are all appreciated. Thanks in advance for all you do to help me and a kitten out.

Believe it or not, I never really grew up with Peanuts. I obviously enjoyed the holiday specials, but I never had much experience with the comic strip itself. I decided to change that by reading a collection of Peanuts strips. From the first few pages I started seeing the brilliance.
Above is by far the best single strip of the comic I’ve read so far. It’s a fantastic slice of cartooning that shows what makes Peanuts so excellent.
Too often, children in fiction are portrayed as idealized angels. Peanuts is unique because Charles Schultz never shied away from showing every facet of a child’s life, even the sadder times. Charlie Brown and his friends get depressed, they feel lonely, they break each others hearts, and they bully each other.
This Sunday strip is like the quintessential Peanuts cartoon. On one level, it’s a funny gag about Charlie Brown’s anger about being bullied. But on a deeper level, it’s Schultz’s way of acknowledging how children’s emotions are rarely taken seriously. Schultz speaks through Charlie Brown to tell the reader “I get how tough it is to be a kid, and some people don’t understand that, but I do.”
Any other writer likely would make humor at the expense of Charlie Brown, but Schultz writes Peanuts in a way so that we’re always rooting for whoever is the butt of the punchline. This way, we laugh about the reality of life without directly laughing at anyone’s suffering. It’s a delicate tightrope that few other great writers have accomplished.

Not to shit on Ben Wyatt, but Padme was queen of Naboo at 14 years old, and she didn’t blow the planet’s budget on a winter sports complex.
