Why I Love the Color Burnt Orange, But He Doesn’t
New Post has been published on https://www.designinfo.in/blog/color-management-solution/2019/why-i-love-the-color-burnt-orange-but-he-doesnt/2790
Why I Love the Color Burnt Orange, But He Doesn’t
From all the roughly 1.5 million shades of color that exist in our world, I love the color ‘burnt orange’ the most. The question I ask myself this morning, as I sip my mocha-colored coffee is, Why? Why are my eyes always drawn to this particular shade of orange?  I don’t care much for carrot orange, or papaya orange. My loyalty is to burnt orange, so much so, that my kitchen looks like the inside of an orange (a burnt orange, to be specific). There are pots, pans, and an assortment of towels that are all (you guessed it) a shade of burnt orange. And why is it that my husband, who is like me in almost every other aspect, absolutely hates that color?
So, I’m setting out to answer these two questions:
1) Why do two people react differently to the same color? Is it just a case of beauty being in the eye of the beholder or does it go deeper than that?
2) Are these morning meditations of mine pointless or do they really matter in the marketing scheme of things?
Do we see colors differently?
To start off, we all see the same colors. So, unless you are color blind, a sunny sky looks blue and a strawberry looks red, just like it does to me. But, here’s the kicker; we don’t just see colors, we experience colors.  The emotional response to the same color by two different people can be as different as night is from day. Our responses to a color are greatly influenced by our experiences associated with that color. A job interview that goes well in a mauve-colored room can make you react to that color favorably in the future. Our subconscious minds make these little connections without us realizing it.  Accordingly, when I see the color burnt orange, I am reminded of some of the beautiful beach sunsets I’ve seen. Witnessing a sunset always feels like a spiritual experience to me. However, when my husband sees the same color, he is reminded of the cough syrup that made him throw up when he was a little boy. This is why I love the color, while he hates it.
Does it matter?
Which brings me to my second question, does the fact that two people experience the same color differently really matter in the marketing scheme of things?
The answer to that is a resounding, YES! The impact of a brand’s colors cannot be understated. It plays a significant role in consumer decision making, especially when it comes to purchasing decisions.
So, should a brand consider every potential customer’s preference when deciding on its colors? The answer to that is a resounding, NO! Considering every one of your, potentially thousands, of customer’s color preferences would be like trying to count the grains of sand on a beach. You would only end up getting frustrated when you invariably lose count midway.
Are you confused about color?
Let me explain. Emotional reactions to color are not dependent solely on personal experiences.  Factors such as age, gender, and ethnicity also influence the way we experience a color. So, while we can’t account for personal experiences, we can take these other universal preferences into consideration when making color decisions.
It really comes down to understanding who your target audience is and then using colors that connect with them. Finding the colors that will produce a positive emotional response in your customer base could be the difference between being overlooked or selling your product. Let’s look at the role that age, gender, and ethnicity play when it comes to experiencing colors.
Age and Color
Our choices of preferred color change as we age. While we cannot account for individual taste, certain generalizations are safe to make. Younger kids are attracted to brighter colors. Some teenagers embrace darker shades like purple and black while others like bolder ones like red and lime green. Older folk prefer pastel and other muted shades. Designing your products with colors based on the age bracket of your target audience can help boost your business.
Gender and Color
When it comes to gender, however, making any kind of generalization in today’s gender-neutral world is foolishness. Gender-specific colors like pink for women and blue for men are no longer the norm. Today, colors like the ‘millennial pink’ and ‘proton purple’ are what both genders gravitate towards. These are shades that are androgynous and allow a dual expression of the masculine and feminine sides of a person all at once. Brands must be flexible enough to accommodate these newer trends along with the traditional gender-specific color choices.
Ethnicity
Colors are woven into our background and upbringing and understanding the ethnicity of your target audience is key. For example, an Indian customer may have a negative emotional response to white since it is the color of mourning in her country while an American customer may have a positive emotional response to it since white is worn at weddings there and denotes celebration.
Brand Personality and Color
Another factor to consider when choosing the right color for your brand is your brand’s personality. All brands, like human beings, have a personality. A brand’s personality is unique and represents its vision and values. Once you realize what your brand’s personality is, you can then choose a color that accurately represents that. If you want your brand to look exciting and youthful go for the palettes of red, yellow, and orange. However, if you want to give out a calm, stable, and secure vibe, the palettes of green and blue are your best bet. Similarly, if you want to represent luxury and indulgence, golden and purple hues will serve you well, while brown can be used to show a rustic and more down-to-earth personality.
So, there you have it. Looking at a color is as much an emotional experience as it is a viewing experience and understanding this is key to choosing the right colors for your brand. On a personal note, maybe it is time for me to stop forcing my husband to wear shirts that are the color of burnt orange!

New Post has been published on https://www.designinfo.in/blog/color-management-solution/2019/colors-of-different-signature-smartphone/2784
Colors of Different Signature Smartphone
Smartphones are currently the talk of the town with new features and technologies evolving every day. Along with providing technological improvements, manufacturers have been providing more personalisation and customisability options by offering more colour options which reflect one’s lifestyle and match their sense of fashion. Gone are the days when you had limited colour options like black, grey, silver, and gold to choose from while purchasing your new phone. Smartphone manufacturers have experimented with colours in order to stand apart and thus give us some gorgeous phones. The list is as follows:
Apple iPhone Rose Gold
The Apple Iphone’s Rose Gold variant had turned heads for sure. In 2015, when the Apple iPhone 6s had launched in Grey, Silver, and Gold variants, the Iphone’s Rose Gold colour stood apart and was a style statement. The colour was very well received by the fairer sex. Many smartphone manufacturers have tried to mimic the colour but the sheer beauty and finish were exclusive only to Apple.
Google Pixel Series Colours
The Google Pixel series of smartphones have always been style statements. The Pixel line of smartphones come with a dual-tone and dual-finish colour schemes which stand out without seeking too much attention. The colour schemes are subtle which goes well with all types of people. The smartphones incorporate both glossy and metallic finish. The naming of colours is also very quirky. Just Black, Clearly White, White & Black, Kinda Blue, Not Pink and Purple-ish are some of the best of the lot.
Huawei P30 Pro Breathing Crystal
Huawei’s flagship comes in a wide array of colours which are equally stunning but when it comes to gradient finish, the Breathing Crystal colour is extremely unique as it has multiple colours in one. The colours shift according to the light and the viewing angles. The Breathing crystal offers more than two colours, unlike its competitors which only offer two gradient colours.
HTC U Series Colours
HTC had launched new colours starting from its U series of smartphones. The colours Sapphire Blue, Cosmetic Pink, Ice White, and Brilliant Black stand out in the flagship segment. The colours have a glossy finish and some of them even offer varying colour gradients when viewed from different angles. The colours are extremely rare and make a style statement for the user.
LG W30 Aurora Green
Spotting a green coloured phone is as rare as spotting a diamond. LG has offered some stunning colours on its phones but one of the most unique ones is the Aurora Green variant of the LG W30. The phone is quite affordable and it can help you make a style statement without breaking the bank.
Microsoft Lumia Series
Microsoft’s Lumia series of smartphones were known for their Windows Mobile OS and for the wide range of colour and customisability options offered to the consumer. The Lumia series offered colours like Orange, Green, Cyan, Black, and White. Microsoft was one of the very few companies to offer Green and Orange variants on their smartphones.
Nokia Copper
Nokia phones are known for their build quality and clean software. When Nokia had shifted from Windows Mobile to Android, the new smartphones had stunning build quality and gorgeous colours to choose from. Many colours like Copper, Blue, White, and Black were offered but the Copper variant was very different and had not been offered by any other manufacturer. Nokia’s Copper variants offer the right balance of colour, without making it look like Brown.
Nokia Lumia Series
When Nokia was using the Windows OS, it had taken funkiness to a whole new level by offering variants like Magenta, Orange, Yellow, Green and Cyan. These funky colours appealed to the younger audience and the traditional colours like Black, Grey, and White appealed to the older folks. Thus, Nokia had catered to every one according to their needs and lifestyle.
Samsung Purple
Samsung had always offered conventional colours like Blue, Black, Gold, and White in its flagships, this trend was changed when it had launched the Galaxy S9. The Galaxy S9 was offered in Lilac Purple variant which had a subtle and light finish. The Purple colour was even available in the Galaxy Note 9.
Sony Xperia Lime Green
Sony has been known for experimenting in terms of features, technologies, and software. Sony had always offered its phones with good variants and colour options. When Apple had experimented with the Gold colour to produce the Rose Gold variants, Sony followed a similar approach and offered the Lime Gold variant.

Colour of Love is it really red?
New Post has been published on https://www.designinfo.in/blog/beauty/2019/colour-of-love-is-it-really-red/2782
Colour of Love is it really red?
Let’s explore the world of the true colours of love this season
It was Valentine’s Day and my friend who has a girlfriend was fussing so much over what to buy her.
Everything he was choosing was all red. Red roses, red bag, red clothes and at one point he even chose red lingerie! I had one word for him cliche and tacky (wait that’s two words! But I needed two words to describe his situation). Finally after struggling with all his options he came to me and asked me to pick the best option to thrill her.
When I went to an online site and showed him a pair of powder pink shoes that I thought would be best… he froze! It took him a few seconds to compose himself after which he said… what!!! What is this colour? Why would I give this to the person I love and that too on Valentine’s Day? Isn’t the colour of love red! And I said it’s time to grab a coffee and educate this person. First of all, what is love? Now that’s a different topic of discussion by itself. But why do so many people want to buy red on Valentine’s Day?
Let’s leave the story of Aphrodite, the goddess of love who was turned into Venus by Romans.. out of this. Red is commercially easy to be eye catchy and many have played on the connection of red with love.
But what could be the true colour of love?
Well… drum roll… the true colour of love for your love is (are) the colour(s) of the season.
True love is all about understanding your love and making an effort to do something that matters to the one you love. And what could matter to a girl more than to be dressed in the colours of the season. So since Valentine’s Day is in February, hence we have to look at the colours of spring summer 2019.
So based on our analysis the colours of love for this season are : Fiesta, jester red, turmeric, living coral, pink peacock, mango mojito, princess blue, sweet lilac and a few…
I am not sure what he made of this information but all I wanted my friend to know as I sipped my last sip of coffee was it’s easy to get caught up in the race and believe one size fits all. It’s easy to assume each girl will love red on Valentine’s Day but true love is in knowing that the colour soybean conveys as much if not more love this spring summer because it matters to your girl!

How Colours Affect Our Mood & Emotions

How Colours Affect Our Mood & Emotions
Have you ever imagined what your life would look like if you woke up to nothing but black, white and grey one day? No, we aren’t talking about the colours in your rooms alone. You could be someone who is an avid monochrome lover and that’s fine. But what if the entire world went colourless? Will you be able to distinguish a pink rose from a yellow one then? A white tiger amidst an ambush of yellow? How about the beautiful changing colours of the sky throughout the day? Now, before your brain starts running errands and questioning more such things, you must have figured out one thing for sure- colours make things more attractive, noticeable and beautiful.
We’re so used to living a colourful life that we hardly ever stop by and notice how they affect us, our surroundings and everything in general. This extraordinary phenomenon called ‘colours’ that has been nothing less than a blessing to the world has become just another ordinary thing today. Let us look at a different side of this topic today to understand how colours affect our mood and emotions.
Colours & their Psychological Effects
Colours play an important role in defining or characterizing a particular mood, person or object. They stir emotions, draw consumers to products and have a huge impact on our memory/ recognizing ability. They can create different feelings and evoke different emotions. They can also make us feel happy or sad, hungry or relaxed, dull or refreshed.
Sir Isaac Newton developed the very first circular diagram of colours, what is known as ‘The Colour Wheel’ today, sometime towards the latter half of the 17th century. Since then, artists and scientists have studied and designed numerous variations of the concept coined by him.
A colour scheme is a combination or arrangement of colours that group colours according to their combined appeal and the feeling that they generate. Artists can manipulate colours by changing their hues and values. Therefore, one particular colour can have various shades right from the lightest pastels to deepest solids, each one of them having different effects on an individual. However, there are two universally accepted, basic colour schemes when it comes to grouping colours, namely:
1)  Warm colours
2)  Cool colours
An image both these colour schemes would demonstrate an excellent contrast of temperature creating more complex relationships between the colours. Let us take a closer look at the differentiation and how every single colour in each of the schemes impact different aspects of our life.
·         Warm colours
This particular scheme consists of yellow, red, orange and combinations of these. As the name itself indicates, they usually tend to make you think of warm things such as warmth, heat and the sun. When considered visually, these colours look as though they come closer, which is one reason why they are often used to make large spaces look cosier. Say, for instance, if you have a huge living room that you want to look more compact, try choosing more warmer tones for it such as browns or oranges to induce that feeling into it.
Warm colours advance, affecting the perception of depth. This theory is based upon the fact that our eyes tend to adjust themselves when focusing on the colours of different wavelengths. These colours are placed next to each other on the colour wheel and are known to induce feelings of optimism, energy and happiness within a person. Although, red can increase a person’s appetite and orange can slightly irritate the eyes at times. Fast food brands such as KFC and Mc Donald’s are excellent examples of this theory since they usually incorporate these colours to make people get hungry and eat quickly.
Ø  Pantone Red
Pantone Red (Ribbon) can safely be labelled as the most dynamic of all colours. It is also the warmest of them all and is known to trigger contrasting emotions since it is associated with love and passion as well as danger and anger at the same time. It can readily make a person feel excited and increase the rate at which their heart beats. Hence, if one wishes to assign a particular element as the focal point of a particular design or make it attention-seeking, they can choose red without having second thoughts.
Ø  Pantone Yellow
Pantone Radiant Yellow is known to be the most lively of all warm colours. It is often associated with ambition, laughter and sunshine. Shades of yellow instantly make us feel cheerful and fill us with positivity. On the contrary, this colour also tends to reflect a considerable amount of light and can, therefore, irritate the eyes at times.
Ø  Pantone Orange
This colour is known to enhance the feeling of vibrancy and joy. It is as attention-seeking as red but at the same time, isn’t overpowering. Orange is assertive and yet restful- it portrays a great amount of energy and is yet inviting. Therefore, it can be effectively used when one wants people to take action over something or subscribe to it.
·         Cool colours
This colour scheme consists of blue, green and purple and is usually on the soothing or calming side. They also express sorrow and melancholy. These colours tend to make you think of things that provide a calming effect such as water, plants and the sky. Cool colours aren’t overpowering and tend to recede when it comes to perceiving spaces. For example, if one wishes to make a small space look enormous and peaceful at the same time, cooler tones such as blue and lavender can be effectively used.
Ø  Pantone Blue
The colour blue renders a feeling of vastness, etherealness and tranquillity. It is also often associated with trust and security. Therefore, seeing this colour causes our body to generate chemicals that are calming in nature. Deeper blues are great for corporate designs since it has a highly professional feel to it whereas lighter hues of blue generate a friendly feeling. Excellent examples of this finding can be demonstrated by the fact that both ‘Twitter’ and ‘Facebook’ have blue logos.
Ø  Pantone Purple
Purple is a combination of blue (which happens to be a cool colour) and red (a warm colour), hence it is used to help spark innovation as well as creativity. The brands ‘FedEx’ and ‘Yahoo’ are excellent examples of how purple invokes innovation. This colour is also associated with wealth and royalty. Hence, its darker shades are often implemented in a design to make it look more luxurious whereas the lighter ones are used to deliver mystery or romance.
Ø  Pantone Green
This colour symbolizes freshness, new beginnings and well-being. It is one of the easiest colours on the eyes and can effectively be used to induce calmness or balance in a design. For the very same reason, our entire body feels greatly relaxed when we cast our eyes upon huge patches of plantation or greenery. Green is also used to depict security and growth.
Synopsis of Color Affecting Mood and Emotions
Colours are extremely authoritative communication tools and can be used effectively to cause psychological reactions concerning behaviour and emotions. They also affect our productivity and how others perceive us. Therefore, picking a colour that will work with you, and not against you is vital when it comes to achieving growth, happiness and success.

TOP TEN PANTONE COLOURS TO WEAR THIS SUMMER
New Post has been published on https://www.designinfo.in/blog/color-management-solution/2019/top-ten-pantone-colours-to-wear-this-summer/2776
TOP TEN PANTONE COLOURS TO WEAR THIS SUMMER
Summer is a season filled not only with sun, sand and water but also sweat and smell. It is sometimes so hot and humid that we don’t even care about fashion or any trends, we just want to wear something comfortable. But, this summer you can be comfortable as well as stylish.
Style does not always require a different piece of clothing or accessories. Colour trends in fashion have been undermined and you can use it to your advantage. By wearing the right colour or combination of colours, you can pull any look right away. Here is a list of the top ten colours that you should wear this summer:
1.  Pantone Dusk blue
This particular Dusk blue pantone colour is the newest addition to the pastel family. It is a colour that is not too dark nor too light. Just perfect to make your outfit look breezy. The thing about blue is that this colour in fashion has always been designated to denim. But you can be the trendsetter and wear an all-blue outfit or play with prints and patterns. Blue is also a very beachy and summery colour as it resembles the ocean. Play with the colour and you might come up with an amazing trend yourself.
2.  Pantone Burnt Orange
It is a shade that looks like a mixture of brown and orange. This colour is perfect and will match the vibes of summer. You can pair it up with a lighter or a darker colour because bold colours can be contrasted with almost any shade. You can just have fun around picking the right colours to go with Burnt orange and you are good to go. Unless it’s a dress, don’t go around with an all-orange outfit. Bold colours look good when they are contrasted properly.
3.  Pantone Blush pink
The colour is the softest and most subtle shade of pink. You can never go wrong with this colour. The colour is so pretty that anyone can pull it off. This colour can also be worn by boys. Blush pink was the new colour trend for males last summer. Blush pink suits all kinds of body type and body colour. Again, do not wear a single coloured outfit unless you are very confident. You might end up looking like candy floss. Patterned looks are something that you should dig for. Blush pink accentuates the prints and patterns.
4.  Pantone Bright red
This colour never goes out of fashion. You want to look sexy or have a huge event to attend, just pick up bright red and you’ll look gorgeous. The colour is so intense and bold that you will grab everyone’s attention. Bright red is not only popular for clothing items but is also a makeup essential. A tint of bright red lipstick and heels can make any outfit go from boring to fashionable. Here, try pairing your clothes with either very dark colour or very light colours. Black and white are the two colours that make the colour pop even more.
5.  Pantone Lemon yellow
Not everyone can pull this colour off but for people who can look outstanding. It is such a bubbly and cheerful colour that wearing this colour puts you in a better mood. And there is no colour which resembles summer as much as yellow. Wear a cute dress or pair it up with a pair of denim jeans. Most people don’t prefer the combination of yellow and black but if you are confident enough, you can go for these colours. White also goes pretty well with this colour. A cute yellow flowy dress could be an ideal fashion trend for beaches this summer.
6.  Pantone Mint green
Another very popular colour from the pastel family. Before the invent of this colour in the fashion industry, green was not much used in any clothing item or accessories. But the shade of this colour is so sophisticated yet subtle, that it gave rise to a new trend altogether. You can wear an all mint suit or a summer dress. You can go crazy with the number of combinations that you can make with this colour.
7.  Pantone Grey
This colour is very unpopular and is underestimated when it comes to fashion. Blazers and suits are what is always appointed to this colour. This summer, change the trend. Pair a good grey flowy dress with a similar coloured heel and you will be summer-ready. The colour looks so sophisticated on anyone who wears it. It goes well with neutral colours as well lighter and darker colours. The contrasting mix-ups are endless.
8.  Pantone Lavender
Pastel colours are the most apt summer colours. They are light and subtle in shade, so don’t feel too hot. They are in trend and their shades look amazing. Violet is a very dark colour but its pastel shade lavender is very pretty and simple. This colour looks good when combined with a darker shade. If you want to wear dresses, this colour looks like a dream. It is very breezy and reminds you summer as well as spring.
9.  Pantone White
White is one of the most worn colours during summer due to its capability of reflecting light. It keeps your body a little cooler and makes you feel comfortable. If you want to wear an all-white outfit, wear suits, dresses or Indian dresses. Other than that, white goes with any and every colour. You will not have trouble contrasting it with anything. The colour is an all-rounder.
10.  Pantone Tan brown
Tan brown is a beautiful shade of brown that suits all skin colours and body types. It is subtle yet so complicated. This colour is mostly picked up for one coloured suits or overalls. You can wear an all-brown outfit if you are wearing this shade. Footwear and makeup are also very popular in this shade. Tan brown mostly caters to the neutral makeup look. You can also pair this colour with different shades and make it look more sophisticated.
Summer is all about having fun. Fun should not only be restricted to travel and summer activities. This summer try having fun with fashion and colours!

Today in the 21st century we live in a world where global economies are constantly growing, markets are expanding, and market competition has intensified like never before. We no longer live in a time where markets were just physical locations. With the industrial revolution boosting the production of goods and the advent of the internet, today in the 21st century, we now have access to Digital Markets. We are spoilt for choice even when it comes to picking something as small as a pen to something as big as a five-bedroom Villa. According to a recent study done by Harvard Business School Professor Clayton Christensen, 30,000 new consumer products are launched annually, and a staggering 80% of them fail, while only a mere 20% succeed and make a name for themselves. With hundreds of companies trying to beat each other, so that their product is the one chosen, what makes one company have the upper hand over the other? Why have corporate giants like Coca Cola, Nestle or Sunsilk been able to be the choice of millions of customers worldwide over and over again, whenever these customers are in the supermarket, faced with a row of considerable other options placed alongside? The driving factor for this consumer behaviour is largely influenced by product DESIGN. Product Design and packaging are integral to whether your product makes it or breaks it.
How does Design Info bring in the relaxing experience of Pantone?
We at Design Info don’t take this lightly. With an experience of 45 years in the design industry, and having excelled in supplying custom colour trend reports, fashion trend analysis, styles and accessories concepts for a number of clients, and Fortune 500 companies, we understand the importance of proper design representation to the global consumer audience. For this reason, we work with a large network of dynamic and creative textile, surface and graphic designers who develop custom artwork, prints, patterns, logos, and designs using the best TPG textile Pantone books.  Our design team endeavours to meticulously tailor and create any design based on our clients’ specific requirements. We also spend a lot of time with our clients to properly understand their aims and what experience and emotions they wish their products to evoke or convey to its consumers. Since we constantly strive to deliver our clients with the utmost results and satisfaction, we are constantly crosschecking and analyzing current fashion trends, thoughts, social influences, anthropological and artistic events and feeding it into our efficient cultural triangulation system to improve our understanding of current and future trends, to serve our clients better.
Artists of Pantone Serene Colors
At Design Info our artist and designers look into every aspect of what a design or piece of art must invoke to its target audience. We draw inspiration by letting ideas flow, finding inspiration from everyday activities, analyzing present and emerging trends to attract customers not only in the present day but also in the near future.
Luxury Start-ups with Pantones Choice of Color
We understand Mr. Allister that your start-up Deep Sea-Luxury Bath Salts is set to launch 3 months from now on and you were looking for the best design inspirations to go with your product. We are pleased to say that as soon as we received your sample product and spoke to you regarding what the product is about, we brought together our senior-most Pantone designers and trend analyzers to study and come up with a report of what would be the best design and colour combinations that would work brilliantly with this wonderful product you wish to introduce to the global market. Before getting into the details of the design and explaining the colour combinations we have shortlisted for your product, I would like to remind you of the description and aims you wish to achieve, that you mentioned in the memo you had sent us,
Even Packaging is a Luxury to Pantone
Keeping in close consideration to what you provided us in your memo and to the product, we have come up with several things we would like to discuss with you. At first we would like to bring to your notice that since this is a bath product which will be kept in the bathroom or alongside wet areas, we suggest we go with a plastic bottle packaging rather than plastic packets reasons being, firstly, because it will improve customer experience of using the product since they will find it easier to keep it in the container itself and being plastic it won’t get wet in the bathroom unlike a cardboard packaging. Secondly, the plastic container will serve as a reusable container after the product is over, which can act as subconsciously engaging stimuli towards the product even after the product is over for its user. And third and most important the plastic container will give a glossy effect to the design on the container, attracting customers towards your product.
Which Pantone color schemes to use for luxury goods?
Moving on I would like to discuss the colour schemes and combinations we saw fit for this product. Keeping in mind what that the key aspects this product wishes to invoke (a spa-like feel, luxury, organic, sea salt, youth, radiance, healthy, refreshing, relaxing) we have structured a colour combination each for both the products keeping in mind present and future trends and thought processes. Since colours have a deep role to play in how the customer perceives the product psychologically, these are the colour schemes we deemed to fit the best
Deep Sea Luxury Bath Salts – Rose garden
For the Rose Garden, we want to let the design do the talking and still and make it appealing to the customer right away. For that reason we’ve chosen to go with a colour combination of Peach amber (#FAA094FF) which is a lovely refreshing pink and Yucca a serene turquoise (9ED9CCFF) for the body, with the font in White (FCF6F5FF) and the font surrounded with a exquisite Habanero Gold, evoking a luxurious, expensive feel to it.  (#FFD653FF)
Deep Sea Luxury Bath Salts – Lavender Mystery
For the lavender mystery, we want to go with a little darker but subtle colours to give both the products a slight contrast against one another. For the body we’d like to go with last year’s Pantone colour of the yea, that is continuing to catch eyes, Pantone Ultra Violet (#5F4B8BFF) and a beautiful young Blush (#F5C7BBFF) with the font in a almost mystic Elation (#DFDCE5FF) with a complementing Vanilla Custard (#F0E1B9FF) for the border surrounding the font.
Summarizing Luxury movement with Pantone Support
The colours used above have been proven to induce emotions and feelings of class, luxury, radiance, cool mood, calmness, richness, and relaxation. According to our foresight and research by experts, we have predicted that these colours will be ones that should be the top grossing colours for this year and the year 2019. Our inspiration for the colour choices for this product came from the cool monsoon season, which inspired us to keep the colours cool and timid while not being too loud and distracting. The decision to go with slightly misty shades worked perfectly with the concept we were trying to deliver. These colours would look great both with a gloss finish or a matte finish. But in my professional opinion, I would personally suggest you go for the matte finish as it will give the product a more exquisite feel to it. We at Digital Info use the latest in printing color calibration technologies for all our products and all output gets a stringent quality check before the final packaging. We can confidently say that our colour reproduction and colour accuracy is of the highest standards and will be exactly what you expect to see and nothing lesser because, along with our printers, we also use the best in class industry quality ink. Right Colour Shade: Its Indispensability in Brand Packaging Design with Miracles
Colour is a pretty understated concept in an industry that is more or less obsessed with brand consciousness and customer relationship. But, colour is the first feature that comes to a person’s mind which can create an everlasting impact on the person’s feelings as well as decisions. The product’s choice of the pantone colour in packaging can be the difference whether the brand will achieve success or not. The colour coordination and matching is a vital part of the design involved in the packaging.
Brand Name is Dignified with the Packaging provided right colors are used:
The brand name, the design should always mesh with its colour.
The colour has to always portray the right message that can resonate with the brand.
The packaging of the brand Khadi Naturals gives off its message with its colour.
Different pantone colors in packing of products syndicate different personalities of the contents.
The neutral colour of an Off-White shade resonates with the simplicity in the brand’s personality which also maintaining similarity with the name Khadi. Green coloured packaging is becoming a fast trend since; sustainability is becoming a vital feature for consumers. With people giving more importance to organic products, the green colour could give the perfect message to the target audience. Various colours match up to a variety of moods and thus, feelings too.
Multiple Pantone Colors reflect the environment around the packaging of goods
More consumers are becoming environmentally conscious. Thus, even colour trends from several books seem to be changing as per the consumer preferences. While deciding anything and everything in colour related to a business or, just colour matching needs in the packaging, Design Info has been one of the dominant distributors for colour shades and charts. Some designers differentiate their packaging design by using colour minimally to contribute to brand identification and brand building so that the essential message can pop out to attract the targeted consumer. For instance, a Living Coral coloured brand design is sure to stand out against the background of Off-White or another neutral colour shade.
Even the Apple Brand made use of Pantone Colors in the packaging of Iphones?
The colour of a product could also be the unique selling proposition (USP) for a particular product. That’s one of the reasons why the Apple iPhone 7 products focus so much on its colour shades. From the beautiful and classy gold, the vibrant Pantone Rose Gold shade and the modest black, each colour of the phone has its own consumer bracket. It can be said, however; that Apple may have wanted to deny the accusation of using pink, which can be stereotyped as a girlish colour. Thus, they may have named it as Rose Gold, smartly averting the criticism which may impact their advertising strategy. However, this may be just a mere speculation.
Flexibility in colors of the packaging material needed
Another colour trend that is sure to grab the designer with its vibrancy and elegance is the Living Coral, which has been recently named as the colour of the year from Pantone. It is not without any reason, it has been named so. The most important strength of the colour is its flexibility. Surprisingly, since this colour is so close to the pink shades, it may have been a victim of gender stereotyping, however, it is fortunate enough not to be so. It may not seem practical for many graphic designers using Pantone, but it is practical enough to mesh with the most sober or even the brightest colour shade.
Apart from Pantone Other Charts that can be used in the Packaging Industry
The best way to mix and match these colour shades can be effortless with the use of RAL Colour charts to check the viability of the colour shade on any surface. RAL Colour Shade Cards can also act as a decision support system for packaging designers. These RAL colour charts are available online on the website of Design Info at a discounted rate. Buying these colour charts and TPG Textile Pantone colour shades is indispensable for the packaging designer when it comes to the colour matching and printing process. A flawless package design is the need of the hour and making a needless error can cost too much. An error in colour consistency and irregular colour patterns can lead to a waste of money, time and effort. Thus, using the colour charts could save a lot of the packaging designer’s effort.
Precision by All Colors Charts in the Packaging World in the new era
The lack of precision in the packaging of a product can thwart the chances of success for the product. As an illustration, the use of the latest colour trend of using black and white packaging design would be disastrous for packaging of products which target children as their consumers. The sales for such a product would fall flat. Instead, a mixture of lively and enigmatic colours like Lime Yellow shade and Pantone Living Coral would be truly eye-catching for children as consumers. On the contrary, a balance of black and white can work well with packaging of electronic products like phones or a pair of headphones. Sometimes too much amalgamation of colours can overwhelm a consumer due to its intensity and thus, leave a harsh impact on the consumers. So, businesses that want to make a mark among their competitors should use colours to leave a calming impact or even something classier on their consumers. Such a colour strategy can give a particular product, an added edge over other products.
What is absolute precision of colors in the print packaging industry?
The colour matching process has to be guided carefully and with absolute precision, especially with the latest trend of gradients in packaging products. Since, gradients mostly use different shades of one colour; the application of which would be easier with a handy colour shade chart. This could lead to flawless colour consistency and application even after the final printing of the package. One of the common errors that designers make is assuming that a particular Pantone Colour code may work on different surfaces. However, it is not so, as many Pantone TCX colour shades look different on different surfaces like a plain or glossy material. In fact, to solve this problem and assist the designer to get the perfect result, there are separate colour shade books on coated and uncoated colours available on Design Info website. Colours can also be helped for better brand and product classification. Like in the case of a premium earphone brand, the packaging for a pink shade coloured earphone can be identified by its outer box having a tinge of pink colour shade on the otherwise gray and white design. While pink identifies the product, the gray and white design would appeal to the targeted music lovers.
Design Info as the leading brand in packaging industry supplying pantone packing supplements.
When it comes to colours, there is no other company that comes close to Design Info. Their colour charts, books and the trend updates are not limited to Pantone standards only. It knows the importance of following latest colour trends for packaging designers. Thus, it helps designers to make their decisions based on the updated latest trends.
