So y’all know the classic edge trope of “my blade cannot be sheathed until it has tasted blood”? What if a magic sword that has that requirement, except it’s sort of inverted. A sword that, instead of being inhabited by an evil spirit which once awakened cannot be lulled back to sleep except by blood sacrifice, was inhabited by a benevolent spirit who would not allow the sword to be drawn unless bloodshed were the only possible solution. A sword whose power could never be misused because it would only allow itself to be used in situations where it was justified. What about a Paladin who spends their entire journey fighting with a sheathed sword, incapacitating but never killing or maiming. The party believes that the Paladin has taken an oath of no killing, until they face the big villain. And it is in that moment, and that moment alone, that the sword will allow itself to be drawn.

Whumpee thinking they have to love Caretaker because that is the only form of relationship Whumper ever allowed Whumpee to have with them.

Whumpee had been forced into a relationship with a very imbalanced power dynamic with Whumper but now thats all they knew. Its basically ingrained into them now. Its how they survived. They must love and show love to their superior in order to gain favor/ be considered ‘good’/ avoid punishments/ etc.

So now that Caretaker is the one that has filled the roll of Whumpee’s “superior” in their mind— though Caretaker vehemently denounces being ‘above’ them in any way and continues to reassure they are equals— Whumpee feels like they must love them.

Does Caretaker not realize thats why Whumpee is showing them love? Thinking, instead, that Whumpee truly loves them and allows themself to fall for Whumpee as well? Only to later come to realize that Whumpee doesn’t truly love them?

Or does Caretaker reject them, sending Whumpee into a panic that they weren’t being good enough? That they have failed in being what Caretaker wants and so they try harder and more desperately, hoping that they can be what Caretaker wants?

Does Caretaker not understand that Whumpee is showing affection for a reason and just assumes they are naturally ‘lovey’ and affectionate? Is Caretaker also a more affectionate soul and later feels guilty that they engaged with Whumpee, not realizing they didn’t actually enjoy that type of engagement?

I feel like this dynamic could have decent whump potential. Idk 🤷 …. Anyone have any other thoughts on this?

whumpee going snooping one day when whumper is out, finding a bunch of files on whumper’s laptop named “[whumpee’s name] <3”

despite the heart, when whumpee inevitably opens the files out of curiosity, it is hundreds of photos of them

horrible, horrible photos

photos of their bruised body, bloody and cut, lying on the cold concrete floor after one of whumper’s punishments

photos of their limbs bent at awkward angles, broken and already swelling

photos of their mouth, lips busted, teeth chipped

photos of their flesh

of their pain

and they don’t even remember whumper taking these.

Im a casual enjoyer of EPIC, its just been a month since its been recommended to me and its all ive been listening to 😭

Im a simp for antinous, his designs are just my type and im a sucker for villains, good looks and deep voices. And when the story is pitting them together so much, who am i to deny? 😂

Im a multishipper, tell me that youd rather Antinous with Eurymachus or Amphi or even Odysseus, like go crazy and ill say HECK YEAH. Tell me Telemachus better off with Neo, Peis, Nausicaa , Hermes, other suitors. I say HECK YEAH TOO.

My only gripe in the fandom really is just Antinous is reduced to just a rapist. Like, "whats his signature animal? Its probably a dolphin bc dolphins fck anything" way and im like 😑

Have we read the Odyssey? The man is a schemer, a charmer, a prince, fluent in politico-speak, a strong UNDISPUTED leader of his group of noble bstards whose egos match or is worse than his at his young age of 20++!!! He LED 107 MEN both younger or older than him FOR 3-4 YEARS !!! (MOST OF US CANT EVEN HANDLE ONE)

Like yeaaaa he evil, (comically even). hes a fool but he has other qualities too. Like hes so dam patient!!! 3-4 years of his life before he snapped and decided to retaliate. Id have snapped the first hour and left 😂😂😂😂

(And its almost funny he bears that label when he died while monologueing his evil masterplan like classic villains do too 😂😂)

Sharpwolf may be my OTP but lets be real. ANTINOUS only has eyes for ONE THING. And thats the CROWN.

Telemachus needed the help of a goddess to somewhat be on equal level with him in a fight and still got beaten. Antinous doesnt have that sort of divine training or buff!

And ODY EVEN HAD TO ATTACK HIM WHILE HES DISTRACTED so hed have a chance. (He was tired, almost died, naked, starving)

AND BRUH EVEN LIVED WITH AN ARROW TO HIS NECK IN A CUT SONG like FCKIN BADASS. I seriously wish it was canon.
