MAC:

Mac bounced between his feet as he waited for her to open the door. Seeing Jo’s excited face brought a smile right to Mac’s. Wrapping his arms around her waist he pulled her close to him before answering. “Yeah all is fine. Christine hates me but were over.. I’m glad I did it the right way Jo.. I was able to tell her you did not break us up it just wasn’t meant to be. She was hurt enough I don’t want to rub it in I have you.”

       RELIEF rushed through her when she heard mac and christine were over. she knew that was petty of her, but she’d been so afraid he’d change his mind. she wasn’t sure her heart could take that. now though, she was here, and jo didn’t particularly feel like talking. so she SURGED forward and pulled him into a kiss, lips working frantically over his. ❝ i never thought i’d have to tell you of all people this, but mac taylor...SHUT UP. ❞

MAC:

“I”m really not Jo.. I am a damaged man.”

MAC:

Mac nodded and pressed a soft kiss to her cheek before going to his office and calling Christine. He went over to her apartment after work and explained how he felt for Jo and how it wasn’t fair to keep pretending. The whole conversation was emotionally draining and he was more then happy to leave that night. After composing himself Mac grabbed a cab and headed over to Jo’s apartment. Reaching the door he knocked twice and waited.

       jo had to admit, she was practically vibrating with EXCITEMENT. it took her a matter of seconds to open the door, eyes wide and breathing hitched slightly. ❝ hey, ❞ she murmured, ❝ how did it go with christine ? ❞ it hurt to ask about her when all she wanted was to KISS HIM, but if he decided that it was christine he wanted after all, she didn’t want to make a fool of herself. ❝ is everything okay ? ❞

MAC:

“And this is what I love about you. I won’t ask you to change yoru integrity for me. I will talk to her.. We waited this long I don’t want to start on a lie either. But your right I must talk to her first. I will go now.. Will you be home later?”

       ❝ i SHOULD be. ellie’s at sammy’s again tonight and i don’t have any plans. i’ll probably just be catching up on the books i’ve been neglecting for forever. call me, okay ? or feel free to stop by. no matter the outcome. ❞

MAC:

“Look I am not trying to make you that woman or disrespect you. But no time away from you or walk will change how I feel. I want you for the first time since Claire I am thinking straight. You are my world I want you not her..” Mac said as he squeezed her hand gently.

       it was everything she could do to not instantly just choke out a sob. taking a deep breath to steel herself, she squeezed his hand in return and shook her head. ❝ i’d be a LIAR if i said i didn’t want you, mac, but i promised myself a long time ago...i don’t want to be the other woman. now it sounds like you and christine need to have a talk and if you still feel the same way after that...I’LL BE HERE, but i can’t...not until it’s official. i can’t do that to her...or myself. ❞

Mac knew he shouldn’t feel this way but the thought of not being near Jo as much as he wanted made his heart hurt. “I don’t want to choose either but I don’t want to spend less time with you outside of work. I want to spend more. “ Feeling her hand on his heart all sense left him and he leaned pressing a kiss to her lips.

        part of her had to admit she WANTED this, that she’d had all sorts of ideas about mac leaving christine for her, but that’s all they were, just fantasies. he was engaged, and no matter how much she might want him, she didn’t want it like this. she pulled away, eyes instantly darting to the floor as she tried to put some SPACE between them. ❝ mac i...i think you should go. clear your head. you’re not thinking straight. ❞

“Yes I want to go to sleep next to you.. And wake up with you in my arms. Moving in with you just seems like our next step.”

       ❝ well in that case, i think it sounds lovely. i’ve got more space, especially with tyler gone. and ellie and i...maybe have already talked about it so i KNOW it’s okay with her. how long do you need to pack up your stuff ? i want you here as soon as possible...is that selfish ? ❞

“This is my home my home is where my girls are.” Mac said with a smile. “Yes I want to live with you full time.” Mac confessed inbetween kisses.

         ❝ YOUR GIRLS, ❞ she laughed, ❝ i think i like the sound of that, mister taylor. ❞ she took a moment and pulled back just to look at him adoringly. ❝ you really want to move in ? ❞

“fuck mac,” she murmured, bringing her hips up to thrust sharply back against his. “i can’t believe you’re really here.” her thumb ran lightly across his cheek and she kissed him again harder, tugging on his waist so he slipped even further into her.

“What kind of excuse? I need you in my life I am not making the mistake of pushing you away again. I CAN’T lose you.” Mac said as he stopped only inches from Jo’s face their lips almost touching.

       jo felt her breath catch as she raised her gaze to meet his. she shook her head, biting her bottom lip. ❝ i can’t lose you either, mac. ❞ her hand gently, hesitantly, came up to place itself over his HEART. ❝ which is why we need to...stop seeing each other outside of work so much. christine’s going to...i don’t want to put you in a place where she makes you CHOOSE between us. ❞

“Hey there.. I think I broke all the speed limits to get to you. Had to get home to my waiting woman.” Mac said as he pressed her against the wall kissing her deeply.

       a soft moan slipped from her lips as she threaded her fingers through his hair. ❝ so this is home now, huh ? careful, taylor, that might just sound like a proposition. ❞
