Pro tip: you can in fact say your prayers while laying down. There’s no rule against it.

I don't know if everyone will get this, and that's okay, but I'm going to say it anyway.
I feel like if you only worship the gods and don't live with them, live in them, accept them both as external beings and as archetypes of the self, you're missing out on half of the beauty of devotion.
I don't just worship Dionysus. I integrate parts of him into myself, I try to live each day as if I'm carrying his sacred flame inside of me. I don't just pray to him, I experience all of the things he stands for, and by proxy I am becoming part of him.
IDK I just really feel like worship alone is not enough, you need to surrender yourself fully to the idea of experiencing the gods
#this is so nicely worded#i try to do this with the infernals/demons i worship. i have to be a little piece of them made manifest in the world#that in itself is devotion to me

on the topic of spiritual psychosis it's genuinely none of your business whether someone's going through it or not. maybe spend less time theorising on a complete stranger's mental health and more time doing something constructive.
also stop using it as an descriptor of practices that are different to the norm. psychotic people aren't a gotcha and should never be used as a gotcha. using clinical terms isn't suddenly going to make you seem more educated on a topic, it's reskinned trendy ableism just in the same breath of calling someone you hate a narcissist.
#spiritual psychosis#this is such a good addition pls read it!!#as someone who's been accused of faking in the past this means a lot

Pausing my audio recording to also say this on Tumblr.
New practitioners of witchcraft, if some of the realities of magic scare you, gosh.
I am sorry it does.
You are going to have to get over that.
I do not recommend you spend time in spaces invested in keeping you from feeling fear, and if something scares you, I think that is a green flag to seek education and resources on that topic.
If you want to practice witchcraft, I want that for you too. I want this world to be laid open to you. I want you to feast at the banquet table.
Some parts of that banquet you may personally find to be scary. I don't mean to minimize that. Fear is tough. Talk to people. Express your needs. Say what is bothering you and ask for help.
Sit down and feast, or do not. I don't recommend you spend time in spaces invested in keeping you from feeling fear.

i remember seeing another post saying to put some toilet paper with your target's name on it in the toilet to simply rot and disintergrate in the water and i think that is so wonderful.
what if you sneezed into a tissue with your target's name on it? endless possibilities.
i love baneful magic. nothing is stopping you from binding a person to a poppet and then proceeding to run it over with your car. peace and love. <3

Hey, reminder ! !
Not everyone has access to books to read about Hellenic polytheism, they might be banned in their country. Sometimes people’s only source of information and knowledge is the internet (Tumblr, TikTok, YouTube)
History (which is what most research on Hellenic Polytheism is under) is already such an inaccessible subject to learn about.
Authors use obnoxious and pretentious vocabulary that the average person doesn’t know. The wording is so confusing sometimes that you have to re-read the same sentence a few times. And I’m saying this as someone who reads history books regularly.
Even if everyone had access to the books, said books can be highly inaccessible to people with dyslexia or any other neurological disorder that affects their ability to read/comprehend information.
I don’t think it should be so frowned up to use the internet for research. Sometimes that’s all people have. And that’s okay.
People like to use platforms to help with research like Tumblr and TikTok because they get to talk to people who speak like people, even if they have books.
Even if everyone had access to the books, said books can be highly inaccessible to people.
I’m autistic, and I’m an incredible reader, my vocabulary is decent. But, due to my autism, my comprehension can be shit sometimes. History books can suck for me because I’ll read and read and read over and over and still not get what they’re saying. I love history books, but that can be inaccessible due to how they’re worded and written. This is the same problem a lot of people with neurological disorders and disabilities face.
Overall, I think this community needs to stop shaming people of the internet is one of there main sources for learning, sometimes that’s all they have for a multitude of reasons.
also if your argument against this is ‘well the internet can be inaccurate when it comes to history and all information!’ May I present to you: literally everything ever.

I really think that we need to be at peace with the idea of people posting online for attention. Literally every free piece of media from shitposts to art is being made for the very human need for attention and that's healthy and okay. It's not harmful behaviour to make funnyman shitposts for attention. I love my useless internet clout points actually
#i need attention or i start to rot#but i think its one of the most harmless things i could do on this blog tbh
