Mercy and Forgiveness

When Bloom saved Gantlos in Episode 25 it was never really explained or expanded upon. They didn’t even arrest him and get answers from Gantlos, they just let him go so he could warn Ogron and Anagan.

I actually wrote a fic where this narrative decision is expanded on and they end up working together to stop Nebula who actually sabotaged the wizards’ trial. And Duman’s alive because he deserves it. If you guys are interested I could make a separate post.

His plan was to barge in the loft, beat up the Winx, barge into Roxy’s house, beat her dog, dad and her, barge into the Specialists’ apartment, beat them up, barge into the Tir Na Nog prison thingy where the Earth Fairies are, beat them up, then barge into the wizards hideout White Circle in hand, and Ogron says “You’re right Gantlos, listening to your plan did pay off.”

Gantlos’s Unknown Plan

Hey, so does anyone remember in season 4, episode 5, just after the Winx stop the wizards’ spell on the pets by feeding them, and just before the wizards teleport away, Ogron says: ‘Gantlos, you were right. Next time we’ll do it your way.’ Now, across the whole episode we haven’t heard Gantlos mention anything about his way, or any alternate plan he may have had. (Actually, we haven’t heard Gantlos say anything, really, but that’s a separate issue.) Ogron didn’t mention it before that point either. And ‘next time’ is when they track Roxy down because the Winx approached her. (That isn’t confirmed, but if they could track her, they’d have done so already, and it feels too coincidental for it not to be due to the Winx finding Roxy.) Unless Gantlos can see the future, that can’t have been his plan. So we’re left in the dark about what his idea was.

Was it related to the pets? To the spell? The store? Or was it something totally unrelated? Did it involve targeting the Winx? Maybe he wanted to go after the Specialists? Or something else! A friend and I are very, very curious about what his plan was; maybe it would have worked! (And it almost certainly wouldn’t have been undone by pet food.) So I’m asking if anyone has any ideas about what his plan might have been. If you do, please share them! I’m really interested to hear what you think.

My theory is that he wanted to just fight the Winx. They already knew they could beat them; the only reason the Winx had walked away from those last fights was because Ogron had ordered them to retreat. It’s a simple plan, but effective. With the Winx gone, there would be no-one to stop them stealing the powers of the last Earth fairy. But perhaps Ogron disliked the idea of another head-on confrontation, and preferred his idea of attempting to take the Winx out using a spell. And when that failed, he admitted that they just needed the Winx out of the way, so he agreed with Gantlos’s strategy. Of course, before they could enact it, the Winx found Roxy, they gained Believix, and a confrontation became a lot less desirable as the Winx gained the ability to finally do some damage, so they continued with Ogron’s strategies.

But that’s just my theory! It’s not massively complicated, but Gantlos feels like quite a straightforward kind of guy, so his plans would likely not be as convoluted as Ogron’s. Please, tell me what you think! Share your theories!

I thought I’d doodle and explain the wizard dynamics in my (now called) Dark Harmony AU:

Her and Ogron have a casual villain-henchman dynamic. He tells her of the plans and some helpful information and she gives insight on each Winx’s weakness or some Believix information he could use against them.

Just like with the other wizards Gantlos is protective of her, but even moreso due to her knowing what actually happened between the wizards and the Earth Fairies, and if this information gets to the Winx and eventually Morgana it could be quite bad for them, at least that’s what they believe

Anagan is the most chill and listens to Musa rant about her life, relationship with Riven and the recent conflict concerning her musician dreams and the Winx, mainly Bloom.

Duman and Musa get along really well and he helps her with her performances at the Frutti Music Bar. He also believes if his illness gets to him Musa can at least put his shapeshifting abilities to good use. He’s pretty excited to have a shapeshifter prodige.

Black Circle Musa AU (design & concept art)

The AU is in the name: Musa joins the Black Circle and becomes a Dark Fairy. Unlike Bloom she isn’t under a spell and joined them for her own reasons.

There she is!

I wanted Musa in this AU to be a mix of the Black Circle and a Dark Fairy. She’s an equal in the AU so I wanted her to have the same vibe as them. I had a hard time putting in red so when looking at the dark fairy references they leaned into purples, pinks and blues, which ended up making Musa’s look much better.

I wanted the wings to be smaller and there’s actually a reason behind it. Since she has dark magic it grants her the power to fly, hence why witches and wizards can fly without wings. But she’s also a fairy so she needs the wings for momentum. I love the purple wings sark fairies have so I kept it that way. Made the wings look like smaller versions of her Enchantix wings shape-wise.

First Concept:

This was the first design I came up with. Now usually I like the first design but I was struggling with her bangs and the outfit was too simple both in terms of the wizards and the Winx character design since general (I know about the later seasons’ dresses and yes I think they’re hella basic)

The wings and back are the things that stayed consistent.

Hair changes + Weapon

This one is less of design concept and more like light adjustments. I ended up keeping her regular straight bangs instead of the side-swept ones. I really wanted her hair to look like her season 3 cut because I miss it so much. Plus it could be her going back to being more tomboyish and hard on the outside rather than the softer version we got in season 4.

I feel like since she’s part of the Black Circle she needs her own specialty so she can summon a microphone as either sing into it for sound waves or swing it around for some gnarly damage

I also changed her top to have a zipper thing and become shorter.

Colors and cape (+ tiny Gantlos)

Anyway I decided to combine the zipper and the triangle cutout (don’t ask me how the zipper works, maybe it’s now a line) and I like it quite a bit. Her back is still exposed for her wings.

This is the point where I started messing with the colors as well. It was pretty hard combining red and purple without her looking a bit odd. I mostly envisioned her with Blue and purple gloves but I wanted red to be her main color.

And the bottom right is my favorite drawing. I like the pose and she’s showing off one of her powers. I was scrolling through some bocaloid shorts and it inspired me to give her fishnets. I also drew her boots and the design came together (except the colors whoch I figured out later)

Anyway here’s a brief look at Husk in this AU. He’s swapped with Angel as the first patron which Alastor is using to spy on them since Adam DARED to not have THE Radio Demon sponsoring his hotel and instead this horny moth pimp with his new technology gadgets!

Your role swap! Hazbin hotel au is so COOL!!! I just love swap! Adam and Charlie desgins! ( Adam looks like a friendly nice guy while Charlie is the actual demonic alike also hope to see more characters too if they swap lol ) But still wondering something...

1. Is there another charcter get swap role too? Like Alastor or others. ( but just swap! Adam / charlie and Swap! Lute / Veggie is already perfect <3<3<3 )

2. Is Lucifer on Swap! Adam's side or just continue to support Swap! Charlie ( since she is his daugther) ?

3. Did Swap! Adam start the hotel just because he didn't want to see his children/decendant ( sinner) suffer ? ( since he is the father of all human)

4. I imagine Swap! Adam and Og! Charlie would be the best of the friends.

1. Yes. I’m working on Angel Dust and Husk swapping. Angel Dust is a bartender while Husk, well maybe he’s a serial killer part-time, really leaning on og Angel’s mafia style.

2. Lucifer is swapped with Lilith and is technically in Heaven and only really picks his own side. Lilith is closed to herself and not associated with hell at all, except Charlie as her mom but that’s it.

3. Adam is a fallen Angel trying to find a way back to Heaven. And his solution is using the hotel as a testing ground to see if he can get redeemed like the sinners.

4. Adam’s personality is the same in this Swap AU. Unlike og Charlie he goes through an arc of appreciating the little found family the hotel created and fights for them when the war rages on. At first he doesn’t care how many sinners die since he’ll always have new ones to test his redemption theory on. So if anything he’d probably say “who tf is this clown bitch?!”

Hello, I really love your Role Swap Adam and Charlie! They look super cool and I was wondering, will we see role swap Vaggie and Lute? Maybe Lute is a sinner/demon but hides that fact and Vaggie is still Charlie's right hand woman.

Mhm, someone asked me before but I failed to answer it. But yes, Lute probably lies about dying from her arm injury and works as the receptionist of the hotel, keeping records on each sinner that signs up there. Unlike Charlie and Vaggie in cannon, Lite and Adam are business partners and close friends, no romantic feelings involved.

If you’re still accepting requests, could I please request Duman as a cat, taking a nap on Gantlos? I just always think cat-Duman is such a cute idea, and I’d love to see this.

Firstly, I kinda stopped taking requests a while ago so my apologies.

However and secondly, I actually have a similar drawing based on your fic, Tigers and Truces, which I fell in love with. I love the portrayal of Gantlos and his tunnel vision problem, tho the romance between him and Duman was alright, I mostly wished Duman could use more douchiness.

But yeah loved the tension, loved Roxy and Gantlos teaming up but getting captured and loved the battles and how Bloom was worried sick for Roxy. I’ve literally spent the whole day reading and finishing it.
