Ok so I’ve been getting some requests for one of my ocs and one of .dgmheadcanxns ocs and who they are, why they’re shipped together, how’d they meet, etc. So I decided to tell you guys all about it!!! So get ready to meet Dimitri Sorin and Nanashi Masachika.

Who are they? The two OCs are none other than Dimitri Sorin: 

Before you ask, yes his FC is the He is the oldest of the seven Sorin siblings and is what many would describe as a “Cowardly Lion” because while he is brave, he can be very hesitant to throw himself into danger unless it’s someone he loves that’s in said danger. But over all he is a very sweet and kind person, very sarcastic and witty when the time calls for it and according to his family “A little shit when he wants to be.” But a loving and loyal character overall and according to @dgmheadcanxns “a bean.”

The next one is Nanashi Masachika, @dgmheadcanxns OC:

His FC is Nanashi from “The Sword of the Stranger.” And according to @dgmheadcanxns “He is the oldest of the three Masachika siblings. In a few words, Nanashi keeps to himself when someone first meets him. He’s very reserved, and can seem incredibly intimidating with his harsh eyes, and cold demeanour. That’s what many take away from him. Despite his snarky, and often rude attitude, Nanashi’s grown a soft spot, mainly due to having to raise his baby sister ever since she was a child after the loss of their parents. When one sees Nanashi alone, versus when they see him with Miya, many may not find him to be the same person.” Or as I like to refer to him, “a reserved man that turns into a huge papa bear when his sister is involved in something.” But I love him just as much as I love my OCs.

Why are they shipped together? @dgmheadcanxns decides to ship them together after discussing our characters personalities and such and decided it would be a perfect example of opposites attract because Dimitri and Nanashi balance one another out so well. While Nanashi is very reserved and somewhat cold, Dimitri is very open and warm. They’re the sun and the moon in a sense. Two opposites that fit so well together. Plus height differences are sacred.

How did they meet? Dimitri and Nanashi met when Dimitri was 14 and Nanashi was 15. Around this time, it had already been a few months since Dimitri’s mother had passed away, 6 to be exact. So at this point he was going through very, very rough time. Since his father was always away on missions and he and his twin brother, Jullian had taken on the roles of being both parents for the younger ones while their father was away. So at this point Dimitri is a bit of a shit and very angry at the whole world. So he takes it out on Nanashi and in turn Nanashi takes his anger out on Dimitri because they’re both little shits that are mad at the world. But it changed when during the mission they end up getting snowed in at the inn they’re staying at and Dimitri is just like, “Fuck it. If we’re stuck here we may as well make the most of it.” And he and Nanashi start talking about their families and what they’re like. Dimitri shares the reason he’s been so angry is because he lost his mother recently and it’s been hard being the “parent” while his father is away on missions and when his brother is as well. Nanashi shares that it’s been hard raising his little sister all by himself as well. This leads to the two of them blabbing on and on about their younger sisters and bragging on them; and by the end of the night Dimitri and Nanashi find out they have a lot more in common they originally planned and thus a friendship was born.

How they got together. Dimitri and Nanashi got together a few months after Dimitri was released from capture by the Noah (message in requests if you want to hear about that!) but it was a very slow thing making the transitions from best friends to lovers. But it was also the most natural thing in the world at the same time. It started with small smiles here and there, looking bashfully at one another as though they were keeping a secret just between them, lingering touches on the shoulder or back, comments that could be considered as vaguely flirtatious, loving glances when the other wasn’t looking, giggles heard coming from either of their rooms in the middle of the night when they couldn’t sleep, or Dimitri showing up to Nanashi’s room at 2AM with a horrible nightmare in the back of his mind. It was small gradual things that built up and up until it combusted and they finally realized that they cared for one another. But they didn’t get “official” until after their first kiss.

How did their first kiss go? Their first kiss happened on a mission and Dimitri made the first move. It was when they were both to far to make it to an inn one night and had to camp out in the woods. During this time, the weather is just starting to get colder and of course Dimitri being the dumb ass he is forgot to bring a blanket so he and Nanashi end up sharing one with him. And since neither of them can sleep, they just talk and such and watch the fire and Nanashi looks so beautiful in the light of the fire and the way he smiles makes Dimitri’s heart swell. So Dimitri just grabs Nanashi’s face in mid laugh and plants one on him. It’s soft and sweet and passionsate and it feels so warm and right but before Nanashi can shake himself out of the shock that holy shit his best friend and long time crush just kissed him stupid, Dimitri pulls away and goes to apologize but before he can get an, “I’m so sorry.” out of his mouth, Nanashi pulls him back in by his shirt collar and kisses him again. When they both finally decide to come up for air, Nanashi is grinning from ear to ear with a bit of a blush on his face as he goes. “So I guess this whole thing isn’t one-sided now is it, Mitri?” which causes Dimtri to want to kiss that stupid grin off his face or slap it off. Help this poor bean, Nanashi will drive him insane with being a little shit. 

How did their first “I Love You” go? Their first I love you was on a mission as well and this time Nanashi made the first move. They ended up being held up in their safe house at the end of the mission due to a bad snow storm that made it impossible for the train to depart that night. So they stay up late, laughing and joking around because sleep is for the weak and they can always rest on the train in the morning. But they built a small fire in the small sitting area of the safe house and are just talking about anything and everything that comes to mind, joking and laughing as most couples do with play fights included. And at one point Dimitri has Nanashi pinned to the ground in their play fight with this proud grin and his smile and skin are glowing in the fire light and he looks so happy and beautiful that it almost hurts to look at him, and it just slips past Nanashi’s lips in the most natural way possible, whispered into the air like a secret. “I love you.” and it makes Dimitri stop short for a minute and his grip lessens on his boyfriends shoulders and falls to the side as he lets Nanashi sit up and pull him into his lap. They look in Dimitri’s eyes isn’t only one of shock, but one of disbelief as well because his last boyfriend only told Dimitri he loved him after coming home smelling like a bar and a round of sex. And that was the only time. So to hear someone be sober and not have to give them anything, to hear them say that makes Dimitri’s heart so happy that he does start crying. When Nanashi starts to panic at seeing his boyfriend cry Dimitri just shakes his head and pulls him in for a really sweet and passionate kiss. When he pulls away, his smile is so bright and beautiful you would have thought he’d won the whole world; and to Dimitri he did as he whispered back “I love you too.”

Cute things about them as a couple.

Dimitri is 5'7" and Nanashi is 6'3" so the height difference is, as you can imagine, both adorable and problematic at times.

Nanashi calls Dimitri “My Little Prince” all the time and it makes him blush like nobody’s business, it’s adorable. Dimitri has a nickname of his own for Nanashi and its “Mic Tigru” which means “My little tiger.” In Romanian. It’s great to watch Nanashi get really flustered when he says it.

Nanashi always give Dimitri piggyback rides around the order and it’s great. • If one ever has a nightmare, they just go the others room, no questions asked and snuggle until the other feels better. Although later on they do end up just moving into a room together to remedy the last night knocks at the door.

They’re always holding hands when they can, or Nanashi has an arm slung around Dimitri’s shoulders, Dimitri has an arm around Nanashi’s waist. They always have to be touching if they’re not on a mission, mainly because they like to be close to one another. But it’s never much more than causal touching, like above. They don’t really kiss in public because they both believe that’s something more for private, but forehead and cheek kisses are about all thy do in public as far as that. 

They’re both very family oriented and after they got together, they wanted the other to meet their extended family. Nanashi already knows all of Dimitri’s siblings by didn’t knew his cousins or his aunts and uncles on hit mothers or fathers side. And Dimitri knew Miya but he never knew Nanashi’s cousins. So it was a great way for them to grow closer and such. 

Nanashi and Miya are basically members of the Sorin family and are invited to every family event no matter what because Dimitri’s family absolutely loves them. And the Same goes for the Sorin family being invited to meet the Masachika’s

Dimitri loves to play with Nanashi’s hair like all the time. He likes to put it in pony tails or braid it. He just thinks it’s so pretty and he loves it.

They love one another so much and you can just see it in the way they look at one another; like there’s no one else they’d want to spend the rest of their time and life with.

Now that I think of it, Allen’s altruistic nature makes a lot of sense when I remember that his first memory was to be sold to the circus.

Whether Allen was a victim of an organised human trafficing ring or a child of a family that could not or did not want to sustain him, he was sold; like a product, a tool and Allen never manages from recovering from that image of himself.

He is forced to work just to have some sort of shelter and too little food and when he was deemed a burden he was thrown into a lion cage.

He bonds with Mana but cannot enjoy Mana’s love freely because he is weighed down by the guilt of hurting Mana, which is why he decided he would give up on himself and be Mana’s reminder.

After Mana dies Allen pledges to become an Exorcist to save souls and in his first meeting with Bak it shows even weaponless, Allen feels the need to follow this path - to be useful, to destroy as many Akuma as he possibly can.

When Tyki thortures him and destroys his Innocence Allen isn’t scared, he only starts trembling and crying once he woke up alive. It could be that he failed to properly react in the forest due to shock, but it could also point to Allen’s warped mindset. Allen didn’t fear death, Allen feared being alive because being a tool, a weapon to the war and destroying Akuma was the only way he could justify his existence.

{ can we take a few moments to appreciate/talke about some of the supporting characters of DGM??  

Timothy is literally a child thrown into a war against demons.  He was orphaned by his criminal father and was a c t u a l l y forced to swallow a jewel.  Not only that, but he’s also a parasitic type; and correct me if I’m wrong, but I’m sure somewhere it mentioned that parasitic types have a shorter life-span from the moment their Innocence connects with them.

And of course, poor Miranda is always straining herself and trying to do her best, even though she knows she can’t save everyone.  It mentally breaks her when her ability is unable to save someone.  Her ability is also defense, not offense, so she’s unable to even do anything to help them except temporarily heal their wounds.  The poor girl’s always screwing up everything and she’s beating herself up about it.  She doesn’t even get one break.

And Krory, for fudge’s sake, has been sheltered for twenty-eight years of his life.  The only social interaction he had before Eliade showed up was with his flowers and his grandfather (who, I’m assuming, died when little Krory was only ten or eleven years old).  The guy’s always blaming himself for things that, more often than not, aren’t even his fault.  He shows in the Ark arc that he’s more than willing to lay down his life to protect his comrades; his incredibly loyal trait is something some of the other exorcists lack or don’t show as easily.

People don’t talk about this a lot but Miranda is so fucking badass. I know that she’s not a fighter or physically strong but damn her stamina and willpower are simply amazing. Even though she is always self-conscious and doubtful of her own capabilities, when people need her she never gives up: she gets beaten up, she forces her Innocence beyond her limits, she more often than not coughs up blood and collapses from exhaustion from the overuse, but she gets up every time and continues to fight in her own way and protect the people she grew to cerish and honestly that’s the most wonderful thing about her.

Allen Walker:

It would definitely happen on a mission with just the two of them.

They’re camping out in the woods laying down their packs for the night, side by side like always when they hear stick cracking out in the woods.

Allen sees the look of pure fear on his s/o’s face as they glance out into the dark and dense forest and does his best to comfort them.

“I’m sure it’s just some deer poppet, don’t worry. Don’t want you turning into a scardy cat like Lavi.”

He lays a hand on their shoulder with a chuckle before he realizes how badly they’re shaking. He immediately turns them to face him.

“Love, are you scared of the dark?” Allen asks quietly, gently smoothing some hair from their forehead gently as they nod in response.

“Well that’s alright we all have fears.” 

He assures them that there’s nothing wrong with it, and he refuses them to let them sleep in their own bedroll, finding a way to squeeze the both of them into his, making sure they’re feeling safe, all cuddled up with him.

So many forehead kisses. So many. 

And reassurances that he won’t let anything get to you, not while he’s there.

Lavi Bookman Jr.

Lavi found out through complete accident

It was something he thought was going to be cute, watching his s/o from the shadows, shuffling along at the back of a group of science division workers, before grabbing them by the waist quickly with a gruff “Come here you.” in their ear with a gentle laugh.

He pulled them with him into a dark broom closet, only small amounts of light peeking in under the crack.

He was about to lean in for a kiss when he felt them tremble and their head looking back and forth.

“Lavi, dear, is there a light anywhere in here perhaps?”

Their voice is an octave higher than what it usually is and that’s when it hits him.

They’re scared of the dark.

His fearless little lion is scared of the dark and it takes everything in him to not double over from laughter as he tells them no and asks the question.

“Yes now can we get out of here please? I really don’t like it.”

He concedes and buys them a nightlight a week later.

He sleeps on the couch for a month but it was so worth it.

Lenalee Lee

Like Lavi, Lenalee found out by complete accident.

It was a night when one of Koumui’s inventions ineveitably lost control and knocked out the power for the whole order.

The two of you had been enjoying a quiet, warm evening wrapped up in blankets and reading side by side.

Or at least it had been when your loud shriek sounded as soon as the power lights cut off.

At first Lenalee jolts and is getting ready to activate her innocence when she realizes you’re not in danger; you’re just scared.

She can’t help but giggle at your reaction before checking to see if you’re ok and bringing you close.

She asks softly if you’d like her to light some candles and at your meek and soft yes she giggles slightly, kissing your temple with and “of course” on her lips

She doesn’t let you live it down in private, but in public she never says a word to anyone about it.

She finds it adorable and quite endearing to be honest.

She also buys you a night light to use in private.

Kanda Yuu:

Unlike the others Kanda had always had an inkling suspicion of your fears.

The way you would tense up during camping trips in the forest. Or how you wouldn’t be at ease until he lit a candle in the room before you went to bed. 

It was the small things that he noticed but never said anything about them.

That was until the night the two of you got trapped in an inn together, and they had no power or candles.

And it was getting dark, and it was a new moon. so not even the light of nature would be peaking through the windows.

He could see the panic in your eyes and treamble in your stance that night and gave a rare and soft smile. 

“Want to share the bed?” at your nod he scooted over to make room for you, wrapping you in his arms with a kiss to the top of your head as you both feel asleep. Safe in the dark.

*clears throat* yes hello I believe we both know what I have come to say. How about a poly request for Ruby, Lenalee, and Kanda? Maybe something with...height difference? 👀

Ok wow this is from when i first started my bog holy shit. I’ms so sorry it took me this long to get back to you.

There were many perks to dating two of the Order’s finest fighters. For one, there was always one of them around, Ruby never missed one of them for very long, when one was away, the other was usually there. While Lenalee may be away on a mission, Kanda was there to hold her at night and keep the worry away from her thoughts until their green haired beauty returned. It was also vice versa whenever Kanda left and neither of the girls felt truly at peace until her returned home safe to their arms. There was always a person to give her cuddles and soft kisses when she needed calmed down from her anxiety attacks. 

There were so many other things Ruby could list on and on. But one thing that inconvinced her greatly about her lovers was none other than the height difference between the three of them.

Ruby, by default and poor genetics, had always been rather compact for lack of a better word. While Lenalee and Kanda had always been naturally gifted when it came to their height, and emphasized even more when Lena wore her heels and Kanda wore the standard boots he was more than a good head taller than her as well. The other two tended to use this to their advantage, putting things on high shelfs where Ruby could not reach them and then laughing as she jumped to get it. Or making her strain on her tip toes for a simple kiss and so on.

It was quite the frustrating existence with those two really.

But every time they did that, in the end they would pick her up gently for a kiss and grab the box of cookies from the high shelf and hand to her with a simple kiss and eyes that screamed “I adore you.”

How could she be mad about that?
