Flipkart has also announced launch offers where consumers can get finance options such as No Cost EMI starting from ₹534/month, and 5% off with Axis Bank Buzz Credit Card and more. The e-retailer has confirmed the launch of its Billion Capture+ smartphone in India on November 15.

The all-new Flipkart Billion Capture+ will sport metallic body and come with rounded corners for easy grip. It packs with 3500mAh battery and is claimed to offer two-days of battery life. It supports USB Type-C with quick charge support. Flipkart says that it can offer up to 7 hours of battery life in 15 minutes of charging.
On the camera front, Billion Capture+ has a 13MP + 13MP set up at the back with the company claiming this has a ‘Super Night mode’, ‘Bokeh effect’ as well. Commenting on the launch of its first smartphone, Sachin Bansal, Co-Founder and Executive Chairman, Flipkart said, “The features in the Capture+ have been derived from deep data-mining of millions of Flipkart customers’ reviews. Few true dual camera phones offer this combination of flagship features. We’re sure this customer-centricity will delight Indian smartphone buyers.”
Smartphones are a major category and driving sales for both Flipkart and its rival Amazon India. So it is interesting that Flipkart is getting into space with its own device. Of course, this is not the first time Flipkart has tried to launch a hardware device. The Indian e-commerce giant had launched its Digiflip Pro series of tablets in 2014.
The player had launched a total of five tablets in 2014, all powered by an Intel Atom processor and price ranging from Rs 5,999 to Rs 15,999. While the tablet venture wasn’t a big success and the tablet market itself declined, it looks like Flipkart is getting ready for a second comeback into consumer hardware. Now whether the Billion Capture+ smartphone actually sees any success is what remains to be seen.

Airtel Launches ₹ 448 Plan With 70GB Data with 70-Days Validity for Pre-Paid Customers
Airtel has launched a new plan with 70GB of bundled high-speed data for prepaid users at Rs. 448. The plan is the latest effort by the market leader to take on Reliance Jio and its new tariff plans and comes soon after it offered 100 percent cash back on its Rs. 349 plan. The new Airtel plan has priced a shade under the Rs. 459 Jio pack for prepaid users that provides similar benefits but for 84 days. The operator has also revised its Rs. 349 plan to now offer 1.5GB of data per day, up from 1GB daily.
Available to select Airtel users via the myAirtel app, the new Rs. 448 plan comes with 1GB of 3G/ 4GB data per day, unlimited local and STD calls free outgoing calls on roaming, and 100 bundled SMSes. The validity of the pack is 70 days. Its direct competitor is the Rs. 399 Jio plan, which offers the same benefits, but free 3,000 SMSes and access to Jio apps. The Rs. 459 Jio pack, on the other hand, has the same benefits but the validity of 84 days.
Vodafone recently launched a plan with 84-day validity and same benefits at Rs. 496, while Idea has a new plan with the same details at Rs. 498. The two companies are undergoing a merger that will unseat Airtel as the biggest telecom operator in the country.
As mentioned above, the Rs. 349 plan will now offer 1.5GB data per day, along with unlimited local and STD calls and 3,000 SMSes. The validity of the plan, however, remains the same at 28 days.

Apple iPhone X Goes on Sale in India, Long Queues Outside the Apple Stores
Apple iPhone X has gone on sale in India with huge queues visible outside authorised Apple resellers in Delhi-NCR as well as Mumbai. We witnessed the queues first hand at an Apple reseller in Mumbai’s Lower Parel as well as Delhi’s Vasant Kunj on Friday evening, with reports of most major retail stores across the country witnessing similar scenes.
Apple iPhone X India retail availability began at 6pm IST, with dozens of people lining up outside stores hours before that time in order to be the first to get their hands on the smartphone.
“We were up since 6am to drive down here as we thought 12 [noon] was the delivery time – we didn’t know it was at 6[pm],” said Ayush, who drove down to Delhi from Dehradun with his friend so the latter could get his hands on a 256GB iPhone X on day one. “It’s now more than 12 hours, out of which 7 hours of travel and 5-6 hours of waiting. Finally I think it’s worth the wait, as always. We are absolutely Apple lovers and we are more than happy to receive it.”

Of course, as has been endlessly reported since (and even before) the smartphone’s launch, the supply will likely not be able to match demand and Apple’s 10th anniversary iPhone will leave many potential buyers – and almost certainly those without pre-bookings – disappointed.
A retailer in South Delhi told that only those who pre-booked the smartphone with them would be able to pick it up on launch day on Friday, and everyone else may as well “forget it” for the next 3-4 days, at least.
India is of course not the only country where people are queuing up to buy the iPhone X. The first wave of launch countries include Andorra, Australia, Austria, Bahrain, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, China, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Greenland, Guernsey, Hong Kong, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Isle of Man, Italy, Japan, Jersey, Kuwait, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Mexico, Monaco, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Puerto Rico, Qatar, Romania, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, UAE, the UK, the US, and US Virgin Islands.
We’ve already seen long queues in the first markets the iPhone X became available in, such as Australia, Hong Kong, Mainland China, and Singapore. Lines started to form outside Apple’s New York City stores from Thursday itself.
Apple iPhone X price in India
Apple iPhone X India price starts at Rs. 89,000 for the 64GB version, while the 256GB version is priced at Rs. 1,02,000. The smartphone will be available in Silver and Space Grey colors. Apple has already revealed pricing of the Apple-designed accessories like leather and silicone cases, which will be available starting at Rs. 3,500. An all-new iPhone X leather folio will be available at Rs. 8,600 while a Lightning Dock in colour-matching metallic finishes will be available at Rs. 4,700.
At this price, the Apple iPhone X will be the most expensive smartphone in the country with closest rival being the Pixel 2 XL, which went up for pre-orders in India last week at Rs. 73,000 for the base variant. Apple’s own iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus went on sale in India back last month. The iPhone 8 price in India starts at Rs. 64,000 for the 64GB variant and is Rs. 77,000 for the 256GB model. iPhone 8 Plus 64GB and 256GB storage models come at Rs. 73,000 and Rs. 86,000, respectively.
Apple iPhone X specifications and features
Apple iPhone X is the company’s first all-screen smartphone and sports a 5.8-inch Super Retina display. It packs Face ID, wireless charging, all glass and surgical-grade stainless steel body. It also comes with water and dust resistance. It has two 12-megapixel cameras with OIS. The rear camera now packs dual optical image stabilisation which includes new colour filter, deeper pixels, and image signal processor. There’s a 7-megapixel front-facing FaceTime HD camera. It is powered by A11 Bionic processor which comes with neural engine for supporting machine learning, augmented reality and 3D gaming. The iPhone X sports an all glass and stainless steel design with all-screen display.
