Last Night At Sotheby’s
At Sotheby’s Contemporary Art Auction in London last night, wealthy collectors from nearly 40 countries competed for established and emerging art trophies in a sale totaling $146 million.
The top lot was Gerhard Richter’s abstract painting Wand (Wall), (pictured) which sold for 17.4 million pounds, just above its target of around 15 million pounds. Another highlight of the sale was Andy Warhol’s red 1973 portrait of Mao Zedong sold for 7.6 million pounds, surpassing the high estimate.

El Lissitzky_ ’Proyectos Proun’ o el estado intermedio entre la pintura y la arquitectura
El Lissitzky, fue uno de los artistas más influyentes y controvertidos de las vanguardias rusas. Arquitecto, pintor, diseñador gráfico y fotógrafo, experimentó con todas las disciplinas, eliminando las fronteras entre ellas y apostando por una concepción integral del arte.
Los siguientes seis libros (enlaces a pdf sobre cada portada) reflejan su idea del artista ‘como constructor de un nuevo universo de objetos’.
