I had a dream that TD had been on like hiatus for years. and then randomly one day on tumblr i saw a post on my dash announcing a game ??? where you could choose which TD character you were and like make decisions and there were storylines and i remember one of the character choices being mike and I went to this tumblr blog posted it and went "WERE SO BACK CHAAATTT" anyway I went to go play it and i wanted to look at this guy I hadnt seen before because "he looks kinda like dirk" (he just had long blonde hair) but i clicked on him and it put me in the game as him

anyway the twist was that the characters were actually quickly brought to an alternate hell dimension and they'd need to survive but at the end of the road this not-dirk ended up (nearly?) dying and then. he got possessed by mal and his hair got dyed black ??? ??? and i was like "WOW THERES SO MANY TWISTS THIS IS CRAZY"anyway mal like. idk did some evil stuff and then i lost

so i was showing it to everyone and i was talking abt it with and i was like "PLEASE play it before you get spoiled the twists are CRAZY but it has my favorite guys sooooo"

my friend chose this girl that kinda looked like gwen and played but. mal never showed up. and the only reason mal showed up i guess was because I was so bad at playing????? he did not end up in the infinite hell dimension and I was like "oh wow okay so 0 of these crazy twists are actually apart of the main gameplay I guess i just chose the wrong path"

there was some sort of subtle implication that the hate in my heart for this random blonde dude as I didnt actually wanna choose him as a the protag made it so he went to the infinite hell dimension. i think within the infinite hell dimension it was also like a side scrolling dungeon crawler al la diablo cross cookie run kindgom

and distinctly I recall when MAL was the PC i had special abilities that were chester and manitoba (???)but when my friend played it through it was a story game….because he didnt go to the infinite hell dimension…anyway it was really peak im sad its not real

One of the most difficult things about recovering from being suicidal is learning how to take care of yourself. Relearning how to avoid pain and even recognize pain. A brain trained for years to be apathetic to it's pain and the total destruction of self preservation through years of it being ground down. It is not a struggle I find is recognized, I suppose that self preservation and the ability to recognize pain is so embedded it's taken for granted.
