“How have you made it this long without someone throwing you out an airlock or something?” Ten x Rose. :)
Oh. My. God. Just my luck that I suddenly have a bunch of things to do when I actually get a prompt, right?? Doesn’t help that I’m a slow writer too, arhgfhgfjg sorryyy
Thank you so much for this!!
#15 - “How have you made it this long without someone throwing you out an airlock or something?”
Rose shot their hosts a strained yet gracious smile as the entire party stood from the dining table. Trying in vain to force away the blush threatening to color her cheeks, she pulled the Doctor aside.
“How have you made it this long without someone throwing you out of an airlock or something?” she hissed, voice low. The Doctor just smiled, ever the picture of innocence.
“What do you mean?” he asked. Rose bit her tongue.
“You know what I mean you—you—“ she locked eyes with a passing servant—“fruitcake.”
The Doctor feigned indignance. “Rose, how rude!”
“Rude?” she quietly cried, digging into his arm so he tipped forward. Her voice lowered even further as she whispered in his ear. “I’m rude? I wasn’t the one who was playing footsie underneath the table while we were discussing the weather. I wasn’t the one who spent the entire night with their hand up my—“
The Doctor hurried to shush her, jerking awkwardly beside her. With a crook of his head, he gestured to the rest of the dining area, now slowly and methodically being tended to by staff. Rose rolled her eyes and together they rushed into an empty, adjacent sitting room.
“Don’t worry, I’m sure our peers didn’t suspect a thing,” he said.
“They didn’t suspect a thing because I held it all back!”
The Doctor tugged at his ear. “Ah, yes. Well, you did a wonderful job of that, really. Sorry… I suppose, if you insist, I could stop—“
Rose backed him up against the wall, grasping at his suit lapels and leaning in. The Doctor was caught off-guard. Oh, she was a sight to behold: perfectly coiffed hair slightly, almost imperceptibly, askew, face flushed, honeyed eyes boring holes into his own…
“It’s your fault I’m like this, Doctor. Do you know how hard it is to discuss global warming when all I’m thinking about is your hand and where it’s going and what it could—should be doing and—” she took a deep breath. “I swear to god if you don’t finish what you’ve started I’ll be the one throwing you out of an airlock.”
Her tone was heated, her breath mingling with his. The Doctor, mesmerized, couldn’t help but catalog the movement of her lips, the way they shaped syllables as she spoke. This close, her scent caressed his senses in familiar and intoxicating ways. “The… The TARDIS doesn’t have an airlock,” he said.
“Then I’ll find another ship that does!”
“You’ll have me take you to another ship just so you could throw me out of that one instead?”
Rose groaned. “The point, Doctor. You’re missing it.”
“The point…”
His eyes widened, then he snapped out of his minor trance.
“Yes! Of course!” the Doctor beamed. He lifted himself from the wall and wrapped his arms around her waist, pressing the rest of her body against his. His grin turned salacious. “Finish what I started… Why not? The party was getting awfully dull.”
Rose released his suit and draped her arms around his neck instead. She hummed her agreement and smiled, her frustration finally giving way to something a bit more… Accommodating.
“Rose Tyler,” the Doctor purred, “let’s go have a little fun.”

in the aftermath of an injury
I’m finally giving in and posting the only multi-part fic I wrote for my inbox buddy that I’m really okay with. This is for the @dwinboxbuddies event.
I’m just gonna keep it in the structure I sent it in for that ~authentic askbox fic experience~ (and also bc if I reformat it there’s absolutely NO DOUBT my perfectionism will get the better of me and I’d edit it and write more and the cycle will NEVER END)
Ten x Rose
“I’m fine! Stop fussing,” the Doctor whined, trying to pull himself away from Rose’s reach. Rose frowned and just dragged him even closer. “You call this ‘fine’?” she asked, gesturing to the bloody mess that stained his clothes. He had wounds on both his head and his torso, having not left unscathed from their capture. The Doctor sniffed. “I can just fix it myself in the TARDIS,” he said. Rose could only sigh. "Yeah? And where's the TARDIS, then?" (⅕ IBB)
The Doctor paused, avoiding her eyes. "Probably right where we left it," he mumbled. Rose dug a napkin out of her pocket and began dabbing at the blood on his cheek. "You mean before we got chucked in jail, right, Doctor?" she challenged, and he flinched. From her actions or her words, she couldn't tell. "Yeeeaaah... Yep. That's right," he said. "And I'm sure it's not far, so you could just, y'know, let me go and—" "No." "No?" "No." “Not even—” “No.” "Oh.” (⅖ IBB)
“Why won’t you let me help you?” Rose asked, exasperated. "You clearly got the worst of it and it just makes sense, doesn't it? I've even got some bandages." She met his eyes with an imploring look that had him squirming in place, but he didn't answer. After a beat of fruitless silence, she continued, voice softening, "Doctor... I can't just not care. It matters to me when you’re injured. I know you've got 'superior biology' or whatever, but cuts and stuff still hurt, don't they?" (⅗ IBB)
Something in his eyes shifted, and the tension in posture slowly eased away. "Yeah. They do," he admitted. "Sorry, Rose. I was just, well... being an idiot." Rolling up his sleeves and wincing at the friction, the Doctor held himself at her mercy. "Should've known I couldn't hide anything from you. Especially not with all the bleeding," he chuckled. "I thought I'd at least be able to downplay it a bit so you wouldn't worry." Rose shook her head. "You just made me worry more!" (⅘ IBB)
“Thank you,” the Doctor said. Rose looked up at him, witnessing the affection pooling in his eyes. Her heart stuttered and she instinctively smiled at him, pulling a smile from him as well. “You’re welcome, you silly Time Lord.” (5/5 IBB)

Rose tried to fight back a wince as the Doctor's grip on her hand tightened viciously. She knew he wasn't aware of his actions, knew that he was too lost in his own agony to control his strength, and she wanted to stay by him. Help him through this even if holding him was all she could do. He was soaked in sweat, his breathing labored, and the groans and whimpers escaping his lips were unmistakable. "Just wait," Rose whispered to herself. "He's gonna be okay. He'll get it out. He will..." (IBB)
ooooh! I like the way this is going! This is very good. (I have a ton of homework this weekend, but I can probably have your #1 by Tuesday!)

She admits to being a bit too excited bounding up the stairs, admits to forgetting how her feet were bare and that polished stone steps were awfully slippery when wet. She was in a hurry, though, so it was fine. Worst she'd get was a bruised arse to match her bruised pride. She could handle that. What Rose didn't expect, however, was the Doctor appearing by her side seconds later, catching her in his arms and keeping her there for a bit longer than necessary. Now that—that was something else. IBB
Ah yes! I like this. Thank you so much!

Jackie Tyler hated her daughter's soulmate ever since she could remember. She hated the far too frequent way bruises decorated Rose's skin, hated the way cuts and injuries would cause Rose's body to bleed red and drain her complexion of color. Sometimes, Rose would fall ill, feeling for all the world as if she survived through a wicked explosion. Jackie could only mourn and tend to her precious child, cursing, praying... Wondering what kind of life her daughter's soulmate must lead. (IBB)
Ha!Yes! This is awesome. I love your work. Never stop writing, IBB!

Tbh anon it’s something I’d like to see, too!! I’m sorry tho, I don’t think I can do the prompt any justice. I would definitely be up to it otherwise :’(
On the upside, I’m certain there’s some that already exist

77+92 Nine/Ten x Rose (bonus points for not established relationship) :)
Hello anon!! I’m sorry, I only did one of them this time. I hope you still like it anyway <3
642 words, Ten x Rose, inspired by the iconic “beautiful boy” scene in Fear Her
#92 - “Trust me, cuddles are a natural remedy.”
“Rose… do you… do you really have to have that thing with you?” the Doctor asked, eyeing the cat she cradled lovingly in her arms with evident disdain. At his look, the cat only purred louder, generously nuzzling its head into Rose’s cheek. The Doctor scowled.
Rose giggled and lifted her arm to scratch behind the kitten’s ear. She was a peaceful and beautiful sight to behold, lying in bed, her hair sprawled around her like a wild, golden halo. But it was a sight undoubtedly marred by their (rather unwelcome!) guest.
“It’s not a thing, Doctor. It’s a cat. And super cute one at that,” Rose said, voice rising in pitch as the cat affectionately headbutted her. She gave it a kiss, and the Doctor kept glowering.
“But you’re sick! Who knows what sort of microscopic, human-plaguing viruses it could be caring. We don’t know where that thing’s been!”
If her gaze wasn’t so focused on the cat, Rose would’ve graced the Doctor with a roll of her eyes. “Oh, stuff it, yeah? It’s fine and I’m not sick; just got a few sniffles. This little sweetheart’s doing me a favor,” she smiled. “Trust me, cuddles are a natural remedy.”
The Doctor huffed, mumbling, “That’s not a medically sound diagnosis…”
“Doctor,” Rose laughed, finally sparing him a glance. “You’re being ridiculous. If I didn’t know any better, I would’ve thought you were jealous.”
She was messing with him, he knew it, but like an idiot he took the bait anyway. “I’m not being ridiculous!” he cried, “I’m just saying! If you’re so dead set on it, there’s—there’s safer, better things out there you could be cuddling instead. Like—”
“Like what?”
Rose was definitely looking at him now. After trying all night, ever since that cat came stalking in, he’s finally got her attention. He absentmindedly adjusted his tie, suddenly feeling caught.
“Like… a stuffed animal, or a pillow, or… or…”
“Or a Time Lord?” she teased.
He gulped, Adam’s apple bobbing. “I—well—that wouldn’t have been my first suggestion, but… Ah… Maybe…?”
The Doctor tugged at his ear, trying to keep the hope from seeping into his eyes. But, oh, judging by the look on her face she definitely saw it. She grinned.
“Maybe, hmm?” Rose sat up, gently easing the still-purring cat off of her. She set it down daintily upon the floor and let it tiptoe its way away before scooting over, clearing up some extra space on the bed. “You got me. Sounds interesting,” she said.
“It does?”
She pat the empty space beside her and cast him a meaningful look. “Yeah. So why don’t we give it a try?”
“A try,” he echoed, but he didn’t move, thoughts frozen on the impossibility of what she was offering. He’s been aching to hold Rose Tyler in his arms—properly hold, not just a seconds-long hug—for as long as he could remember. And now…
It took another pat on the mattress before he snapped out of it. Walking over, he shucked off his suit jacket and kicked off his trainers, lifting the covers and easing himself underneath them. His legs brushing delightfully against hers, Rose gestured for him to lie down before turning around and lying down herself. They scooted closer together, his chest meeting her back, and he reflexively wrapped his arms around her. She held his arms in place with her own and used one hand to intertwine their fingers together. With a sigh, she settled into him.
It took the Doctor a second for him to find his breath again. “How’s this?” he whispered.
She hummed contentedly. “Perfect.”
“Better than the cat?” he asked, unable to resist.
Rose chuckled, “Yes, Doctor. Better than the cat.”
He beamed, finally satisfied and just a little bit smug. “Good!”
The Doctor could feel her mirth in the way her body shook.

37+50 from the writing thing. Nine talking to Rose? :)
Hey anon!! You sent this to me yesterday after I’d already gone to bed. So sorry you had to wait. Thank you so much for sending me a prompt!! Feel free to send me more, I certainly need the practice hah :’)
1,182 words, Nine x Rose, Beauty and the Beast AU
#37 - “You… love me?”
#50 - “How can you love me when I’m like this?”
She’s spent enough time with him now to understand that it stopped being a curse a long time ago. Now, it was a punishment. A punishment he was more than willing to accept.
He refused to take the role of a victim. In his heart he was a criminal and nothing more—a renegade, a coward—and the curse just crushed him further, enabled him to lock himself farther and farther away. The curse could have been broken centuries ago, but he would not let it. The Doctor would not give the cure a chance because he believed, like a fool, that he did not deserve it.
After all, how could a monster like him ever deserve love?
Rose, on the other hand, did not agree with him in the slightest. She saw through him, and nothing in all the universe could ever convince her that he was actually right. The Doctor was a monster, yes, but only in a physical sense because of the curse. The curse did not reflect who he truly was. In fact, it lorded over him, shrouding him lies. He was a wonderful person, a broken soldier—a hero, even. Everything but what he believed himself to be.
She might not have been with him before it all fell apart but that didn’t mean she was blind. He told her everything—the servants told her everything—she saw it all in his ancient eyes, heard it escaping his dreams at night. For all of his efforts, he couldn’t stop her from falling in love with him, and if he wasn’t willing to go out and break the curse himself she would just have to do it for him.
She couldn’t watch him suffer any more.
So, one night, in the dim candlelit expanse of his study room, she told him exactly this.
The look on his face was devastating.
“You… love me?” he croaked, his voice rumbling, his beastial features contorting to convey emotions he would not allow himself to feel. His hands tightened into fists, claws digging into the flesh of the palm of his hand. “Don’t… Please, Rose… Don’t say something like that unless—”
“Unless what, Doctor?” she challenged. “Unless I don’t mean it? Unless I know I’ll change my mind?”
“Unless you’re prepared to deal with the consequences,” he ground out.
Rose quieted, watching the way his body tensed, the way he seemed ready to run. She gave him hope, she understood, and he didn’t know what to do with it.
Voice low, she broke through the silence. “I’ll deal with the consequences,” she said. His eyes snapped to hers. Rose stood strong, unwavering beneath the intensity of his gaze. “I’ll deal with them if it means I can have you.”
The Doctor’s eyes softened. Moving closer, his shoulders sagged and his fists unclenched. He raised a calloused hand to cup her cheek, a familiar gesture, and she leaned into his touch.
“How could you love me when I’m like this?” he whispered.
She smiled at him. “How could I not? Doctor, I don’t care what you look like. You could have two heads—or no head, even—and it wouldn’t matter. I love you.”
“Rose…” his voice wavered, vulnerable, and his long, inhuman fingers threaded through the strands of her hair. The gentle way his thumb stroked the apple of her cheek stood at odds with the all the dormant strength in his hands, making her heart swell. “What about everything I’ve done? You deserve so much better…  So much more than this. Than me.”
Rose sighed, reaching out and wrapping her arms around him. His hand moved from its place on her cheek to cradle the back of her head as she embraced him. “You’re so stubborn,” she said. “I know exactly what I want. How could I get anything better when you’re what’s best for me?”
“You don’t understand—I’ve done terrible things. I could hurt you. The war—”
She pulled back, frustrated. “Oh, Doctor, don’t you get it? The curse isn’t your only problem! How long have you been stuck on this? How much longer are you gonna let yourself suffer like this?”
“I killed them all, Rose! You can’t… That’s not something you can just forgive. I earned this curse!”
“No, you didn’t!” She grabbed the lapels of his jacket and pulled, dragging him down so his face was level with hers. She stared him down defiantly, the candlelight casting a golden gleam in her eyes. “Listen to me, Doctor. You told me it was war. You did what you could in an impossible situation where all the odds were stacked against you—you were a soldier fighting for the future. You’re in debt for a price that wasn’t yours to pay.” Her voice softened. “Don’t hate yourself for this. God, Doctor, please. Let me love you.”
The Doctor sucked in a ragged breath, his gaze glued to hers. He was struck. An ancient beast bested by a human girl. “I… I’ve been alone for so long,” he murmured.
“But now there’s me,” Rose smiled.
A single tear fell down the Doctor’s cheek. He tilted his head forward so their foreheads met and he closed his eyes. “Okay,” he breathed. “Alright. I might never understand what you see in me, but I trust you, Rose. My precious girl.”
“Finally,” she whispered. Releasing his jacket, she draped her arms over his shoulders and pressed closer to him. He shifted so he held her securely by the waist and she sighed. “Finally.”
Closing the distance between them, Rose pressed her lips to his in a kiss. A kiss that was so much more than just a kiss. It was relief. Comfort. A promise. Chaste at first, they soon found themselves melting into each other, abandoning their hesitance and just relishing in the feeling of finally letting go. Then the world turned gold.
Pulling away, Rose watched as light swirled around the Doctor in a flurry of magic, illuminating the room in the way a candle never could. When he opened his eyes he revealed the vortex within them, bursting with a brilliance beyond anything Rose could ever comprehend. Vaguely, she almost thought she could hear singing.
The Doctor convulsed and groaned in pain. His arm shot up to grasp at his chest and he stumbled back, bracing himself against a desk. In mere seconds the golden light consumed him. Rose instinctively shielded herself from the onslaught.
When the light faded, a stranger stood before her—someone she’s only ever glimpsed in torn remnants of discarded paintings. Gone were the claws and mutilated skin. The monster was no more, and in his place stood a man.
He blinked blearily before her, collapsing onto his knees, prompting Rose to rush over in support. He regarded her weakly and Rose gently cupped his cheek, the tips of her fingers brushing lightly against the bristles of his close-cropped hair. A different face with the same features: the same blue eyes, the same expressions. So new, yet so familiar.
Rose felt fondness flood her heart. This was him. The one she loved.
“My Doctor,” she smiled.

tenrose + 29 ?
WHOA, sorry this is like hours late! I was on mobile and I didn’t expect I got anything. Thank you!!
433 words, human AU
29. “Can I take you on a date?”
“So…” The Doctor began, fidgeting, “Can I take you on a date?”
Rose gaped at him.
He hastened to continue, “Well, that’s—if you don’t mind, that is. No pressure, really, I don’t want to make you feel like you have an obligation. I just thought, ‘Hey, maybe she wouldn’t mind?’ and I—”
“Doctor,” Rose interrupted. She placed a hand over his, where it was threatening to completely throttle an innocent jar of preserves. He met her eyes with a slight grimace, relaxing his grip. “What’re you talking about?”
He regarded her then, some of his nervous energy melting into confusion. “I—Did I say the wrong thing somehow? Rose, I’m asking you on a date.”
She rolled her eyes. “No, I know that,” she said.
At her response, the Doctor looked hurt. His immediate thought was that she was rejecting him and it must’ve shown on his expression, because the next thing he knew she was sitting up. Something in her eyes shifted, a thought clicking in place.
“Doctor, look around you,” Rose said. She gestured at their surroundings. “Tell me where we are.”
He answered automatically. “The park. Why?”
She sounded like she was explaining a particularly difficult concept to a particularly troubled child. “What do you think we’re doing at the park?”
“Having a picnic, obviously. Rose, I really don’t get how this is supposed to—”
“And who decided we’d be having a picnic in the first place?”
“Well, I did.”
“And who brought all the food?”
“I did.”
“Who drove us here?”
He paused. “I… I did.”
Rose waited for him to continue, to get the big picture, but it flew right by him. “Can’t you see it, Doctor?” she finally asked. “We’re already on a date.”
“Oh.” His eyes widened, “Oh.”
“Yeah.” Her lips curved into a teasing grin. “Took you long enough, you plum.”
The Doctor gave her a sheepish smile, rubbing the back of his neck. “I figured you thought we were just hanging out as mates. So… if this is a date… then what does that make the others? The, uh, planetarium? The aquarium?”
Rose nodded, “They were too! And the fair, the museum, all those movie nights…”
“Were they any good?”
“I wouldn’t be here now if they weren’t, now would I?”
“Right, right—of course—yes,” he babbled. Then he caught her eye. “Do you want to go on another one?”
Rose scooted up closer to him and bumped him playfully in the shoulder. “Let’s finish this one first, yeah?”
The Doctor bumped her back, a grin breaking across his face. “Yeah,” he beamed.

I can’t reach the top of the Christmas tree…” 65. “You want me in bed? Alright - seduce me. Show me what you’ve got.” 66. “Have I ever told you that you’ve got a really nice ass?” 67. “You know, you make me really happy?” 68. “Keep your hands off my fries!” 69. “Bet I can take your underwear off with just my teeth.” 70. “Are you….writing nsfw fanfiction of us?” 71. “Get on your knees, sweetheart.” 72. “I love watching you squirm.” 73. “If you keep looking at me like that, I’m going to fuck you here on my desk.” 74. “Strip for me.” 75. “Y-You’re going to break me-” 76. “…You’re staring at him/her again. You got a crush?” 77. “Hey, come join me for a bath. We could stand to relax.” 78. “You look so tense. Let me give you a massage.” 79. “Why the fuck are you so cute?” 80. “I hated myself until you started loving me.” 81. “What did I do to deserve you?” 82. “I don’t mind if people talk. Their opinions are irrelevant.” 83. “Just so you know, I think about you when I get myself off.” 84. “I still believe in you.” 85. “I will always choose you.” 86. “I’m still with you because this is where I’m meant to be.” 87. “Did I do something wrong? Why the fuck are you avoiding me?!” 88. “Can you sing me to sleep?” 89. “Please stay with me tonight.” 90. “Why are you smiling at me like that?” 91. “H-Hey, where do you think you’re touching? We’re in public!” 92. “Trust me, cuddles are a natural remedy.” 93. “I don’t want to be just friends.” 94. “You..thought I loved them? I don’t - I love you. I thought that was clear.” 95. “I want to feel you on top of me.” 96. “You make such cute little sounds…” 97. “…You want to be my assistant? Are you sure?” 98. “Good girl/boy, you’re doing so well.” 99. “Beg for me, sweetheart.” 100. “Come on, move your hips, baby.”
I’m doing requests for short 100-500 word drabbles for the next while to get back in to the writing swing! Send me a character (or OCxOC if we have a pairing together) and a prompt, and specify the genre you’d like to see.

They met when they were both human, him by chameleon arch, her by birth. Until one night in a darkened street, that all changed. Pretty soon they were running, trying to save the few they could. They never stopped running, burning artron across countless war torn universes. That all changed on a ravaged parallel earth. Bad Wolf came, and with it Rose changed. 1/? Cheers, your inbox buddy.
