Let’s talk about this current Mars retrograde for Libra risings specifically:
As a Libra rising I can easily say this has been and currently is a difficult and layered transit.
Mars started the retrograde in Leo, the 11th house for Libra risings, has been detrimental on friendships and interactions with others. I have lost a best friend, have elevated social anxiety and just feeling alienated from others.
I am also pondering the ramifications of the Pluto entering Aquarius, (5th house). Seems that Pluto could also be exasperating the already negative qualities the Mars may be manifesting. Really doubling down on the alienation.
While other Libra risings I’ve talked to experienced this differently, some have faced similar or different adversities. How’s your experiences been? What’s your rising sign??

Indicators of Being an Outcast
Tumblr media
Chiron in Leo, Scorpio, or Aquarius - Chiron in Leo shows that one was likely deprived of attention, overlooked, or ignored. Or maybe they received constant unwanted attention from people who picked on them. Chiron in Scorpio shows a wound having to do with secrets, intimacy, etc. They may have been betrayed by someone they trusted and this person could have outcasted them. They could be seen as too intense for people who are superficial. Chiron in Aquarius shows wounds relating to groups and struggling to find a sense of belonging. They don’t truly feel accepted by anyone.
Chiron in 1H/3H/4H/7H/10H/11H - With Chiron in 1st, they could have a major wound related to their body image, personality, and identity due to bullying and rejection. Chiron in 3rd could be an outcast in school or in their neighborhood. Having severe social anxiety and getting picked on in school is possible. Chiron in 4th could be outcasted from their family. The black sheep placement. Chiron in 7th could be outcasted by partners/enemies. Exes could spread rumors about them that lead to people turning on them. Chiron in 10th could have a tarnished reputation. They may have experienced public shame or backlash. Chiron in 11th experience repeated rejection from friends. They could have a hard time making or keeping friends.
Chiron making major aspects to personal planets or angles (especially harsh ones) - Again, Chiron’s influence is undeniable here. Chiron aspects can make it difficult for people to get them, depending on the planets involved. For example, having Chiron square Venus may cause them to be misunderstood or outcasted by potential love interests or people who embody the qualities of Venus because they don’t like the way Venusian themes are being expressed. They may pick on the appearance or financial status of the Chiron person.
Aquarius/Uranus dominance/Uranus in the 11th house - Could be seen as someone who is too eccentric. Maybe they have ideas that are considered radical, which will be off-putting to those who are stuck in the past. Their progressive views and rebellious spirit are misinterpreted as being attention seeking, even though they’re being genuine.
Neptune/Pisces dominance/Neptune in the 11th house - Sensitive souls. They could be manipulated by people who appear to have good intentions, but are only there to take advantage of their kindness. Feeling dissociated from those around them because their emotional depth is not understood is common.
Scorpio/Pluto dominance/Pluto in the 11th house - They come off as intimidating people, even though they’re not trying to be. People feel uncomfortable around them for no reason. Others may talk behind their back or try to sabotage them, simply because these individuals haven’t healed wounds within themselves and something about the Scorpio/Pluto person brings that to the surface.
Prominent Black Moon Lilith - Ostracized and criticized for the pettiest reasons. Jealousy is one of them. They could find themselves in many taboo situations that are out of their control, yet, people tend to blame them for causing the situations. Could be shamed for being too sexual by people who aren’t comfortable with their own sexuality.
8H/12H placements - 8H placements endure a lot of intense and transformative experiences throughout their lives. People can subconsciously sense that they’re not afraid of their own dark side, which is triggering and might cause dislike, envy, or resentment. With 12H placements, isolation is often a recurring theme. This could be the result of feeling different from others, or being disillusioned or betrayed by them.

I agree with a lot of this! March will have some transits that are, well um, interesting…
I’m a firm believer that everyone should live mindfully and save money, know some trades, and grow your own food. I also believe this to be a pivotal year in our society! Prepare for hardships and embrace change! This is the time to escape the chains of capitalism and hyper-individualism. We are all connected. We will make it through whatever this future has. I see this upcoming astrology as beautiful and exciting.
Remember, fate is in your hands.
2025 The Year of Survival begins
Tumblr media
I really don't want to write this. Unfortunately the coming year is not a good year and things will start to go downhill from 29 March. Prepare yourselves to survive. Survival skills are going to become an important part of everyone's life. Grow your own food. Live your life with minimal items required to survive. Save money. Pray as much as you can. Live in present keep doing your work. Don't worry about the future just add these as new hobbies. I wish safety for everyone. 🫂💕

ASPASIA(409)
Aspasia was a rumored prostitute born in Miletus, Asia Minor, and immigrated to Athens, where she met statesman Pericles who was also a leader of athenian democracy, on top of social hiearchy. He fell in love with her instantly so deeply that he divorced his then wife to be with Aspasia. Pericles couldnt marry Aspasia tho since she wasnt a citizen. She is said to have had a strong influence on Pericles especially politically. She was attacked for her sexual allure and influence over Pericles. Cratinus calls her "a dog-eyed concubine" and Eupolis calls her a whore. Since she wasnt a married woman she was freed from the legal restraints of the married women and was allowed to be a part of the public life of Athens. People were very bothered by her being treated as an equal to men and her being educated therefore people gossiped about her and she was rumoured to be a prostitute something that isnt proved to be true.
WHAT IT INDICATES IN YOUR CHART: Shows a person who is gossiped about a lot especially in a sexual manner. Not wanting to conform to the expectations of women. Can also show attracting powerful men. Others being bothered by your relationship and therefore the people you get involved with having to sacrifice to be with you. Being seen as powerful and intimidating. Having strong opinions politically. Immigration. Slutshaming.
Tumblr media
KASSANDRA(114)
Apollo fell in love with Kassandra and demanded she reciprocate his desire. He have her the power of prophecy. But Cassandra refused to sleep with him. Apollo got mad and wanted to avenge her for rejecting him. Knowing he could not take back the gift of prophecy that he had given her he cursed her so no one would ever believe her prophecies. The god begged her for one kiss and Cassandra consented. As she opened her mouth to kiss Apollo he breathed his curse into her insuring others would no longer value her prophetic vision. He condemned her to see the future yet never able to be understood or believed. Cassandra, cursed by the narcissistic god for rejecting him, was later violently assaulted by Ajax.
WHAT IT INDICATES IN YOUR CHART: Shows where you can see things that others dont see but its best to be quiet because you wont be believed. When prominent in a chart can show a life theme of being mistrusted and accused of lying. Being seen as crazy when speaking up. Often shows up in the charts of women who were accused of lying about being assaulted. Having this on the Midheaven can mean its your calling to work with assault victims so that their voice can be heard.
Tumblr media
APHRODITE(1388)
Probably one of the most well known greek goddesses. Even people who arent into mythology knows about aphrodite. Aphrodite was born from the severed genitalia of Uranus. Aphrodite is the goddess of love, beauty, desire, pleasure and all aspects of sexuality. She is the patron of prostitues. She could entice both gods and men into illicit affairs with her beauty. Nobody could resist her. Psyche was a mortal woman whose beauty was so great that it rivaled Aphrodites. Aphrodite became so jealous of Psyche that she sent her son, Eros, to make Psyche fall in love with the ugliest man in the world. Aphrodite was very jealous of anyone more beautiful than her and would curse anyone who offended her. Aphrodites apprearance was said to change depending on who is looking at her, making her the most beautiful in the eyes of everyone.
WHAT IT INDICATES IN YOUR CHART: Shows physical attractiveness, sexually attractive, vanity, envy, can make someone easily offended. A need to be worshipped. Makes someone irresistible. Someone who loves sex. Strong sex appeal. Someone whos strategic when it comes to conflict since Aphrodite was also a war goddess, preoccupation with sex, someone whos in love with love. Seductress.
Tumblr media
HELENA(101)
Helen’s most famous title was “Helen of Troy,” but she was also known as ”Helen of Sparta”. Helen’s signature attribute is her beauty. She is known as the most beautiful woman in the world. The effect of Helen’s appearance were captured by Christopher Marlowe’s Doctor Faustus: ”Was this the face that launched a thousand ships and burnt the topless towers of Ilium?” Helen is said to have used her beauty to manipulate those around her. The Trojan War was started because of the abduction of Helen. Helen also had a powerful personality. She was self-aware and also deceitful and manipulative. Some condemned Helen for starting the Trojan War. Even at a very young age, Helen’s beauty brought her unwanted attention.
WHAT IT INDICATES IN YOUR CHART: Shows beauty. Being able to charm others with the way you look. Can also show too much attention and even being blamed for others being charmed by you. THIS woman for example have asteroid Helen conjunct Chiron and a lot of horrible stuff went down bc of men being mesmerized by her. This asteroid also show being aware of your charms. People fighting over you and you being blamed for it.
Tumblr media
MEDUSA(149)
Poseidon (Neptune) the God of the Sea and enemy of Athena, saw Medusa and was stunned by her beauty. Medusa being loyal to Athena rejected him. When Poseidon didnt get his way with Medusa he raped her. Athena saw this as a betrayal even tho it wasnt even Medusas fault. Medusa was sent to a faraway island and was given snake hair, green cracked skin and stone eyes. Because of what Poseidon did to her she was afraid of men and therefore turned every man that looked at her into stone. Men were sent to the island to kill her. She took revenge on the men that were sent to kill her.
WHAT IT INDICATES IN YOUR CHART: Being victimized and punished by both men and women for being beautiful or desireable. But being so loyal to women that you take the anger out on only men, intense stare, beautiful hair that gets a lot of attention. A history of being abused by both men and women, mostly for being beautiful. Women being mad at you because of the attention you get from men. Feeling alone and outcasted because of a man you said no to/having your life or reputation ruined by a him.

As a Hellenistic, (Greek), astrologer, I haven’t really read or learned much about Vedic, (Indian), astrology. I’m trying to broaden my knowledge of astrology and have fallen down an interesting rabbit hole regarding Rahu and Ketu. Such fun history on that!
Anyway, does anyone recommend any good books on the Nodes or Vedic astrology in general? I have clients requesting past life information and my knowledge is someone lacking on that.
Thanks a ton! Xoxo

I had a totally interesting past life meditation…
So I have been wanting to do it for a while so I used a guided meditation I found on Spotify to relax. Once I got into the meditative state I projected to this apartment door and knocked. The door opened and a middle aged woman escorted me in and sat me at a dinner table with several other women and they were in the middle of eating dinner. When I sat down I felt very unwelcome. Which was kinda odd because it didn’t feel like I knew the women very well. But I continued to apologize for intruding on their dinner and insisted they let me know when they’re done for me to come back. Then woke up the moment I stood up out of my chair at the table.

so you're a bit confused about the different phases of the moon or how and what they do or you're just too lazy to actively hunt down the info and put it in your grimoire. No worries, your witch dad is here to help you :)
New Moon:
new moon, happens every month, start of a new lunar cycle.
cannot be seen, sun behind moon-lighting side faced away from the earth.
best for: new beginnings, setting intentions for the month, best place to make plans and decide what to do.
Waxing Moon:
seen as crescent in the sky, illuminated on right-hand side as sun slowly starts to move from behind the moon. first sign that energy is building and in a few days the moon will be at full power
best for: working on self-confidence/compassion/self-assurance. put plans into place to reach goals. build yourself up
First Quarter:
can see a clear half-moon in the sky. at half power. sun is side by side with moon
best for: reflection, taking a pause, revel in what you have been working on and celebrate achievements. think about how u want to celebrate full moon, get ready for serious action.
Waxing Gibbous:
slither of dark moon left unseen. one step away from full power
best for: one phase away from full, hone in on intentions/goals/actions.
make sure you are paying attention to details and staying mindful of what is externally and internally happening
Full Moon:
Big boy moon. Full power. can tap into her energy to help gain insight or to 💫manifest💫. most powerful time of the moon
best for: manifestations, adding more power to your intentions. good for rituals/spells. great time for releasing or banishing rituals, manifestations spells and meditation. good for charging and cleansing. Moon water
Waning Gibbous:
winding down of moons power. sun is moving away and taking its light with it.
best for: turn inwards and evaluate what has happened over last few days. think about full moon ritual/meditation and readjust your intentions goals for the rest of the month
Third Quater:
illuminated on the left side. back to half power and is fading.
best for: let go of what is holding you back, let go of any negativity in your life. Examples: self-limiting beliefs, people who aren’t great for you or your life, fear and basically anything that isn’t serving you or letting you progress in your life. Cleanse yourself and home.
Waning Moon:
power of moon is nearly over. small crescent left in night’s sky. nearly time for new moon and new beginnings.
best for: take a deep breath and surrender to whatever happened and what is beyond your power. don't beat yourself up if you didn't complete any of your goals. dust yourself off and pick yourself up and get ready for a new cycle. Remember to be kind and compassionate to yourself.

Building a Magical Home
Tumblr media
One of my favorite quotes about the magic of homemaking comes from Cory Hutcheson, host of the New World Witchery podcast. He says, “Home is a transformational act. It is the thing you do to turn a space into a space… that is full of ritual and significance and meaning. So there is sort of this ongoing relationship you have with the space that makes it a home.”
The act of creating a home, of making a space your own, is inherently magical. But if you want to make your space feel a little more witchy, here are some ideas to get you started.
Charms and Talismans
Making your own magical objects can be a powerful way to bring magic into your space. The best thing about making your own charms is that you can make them look however you want, so it’s easy to disguise them as ordinary household objects. You can make a charm for any intention by combining objects based on their magical correspondences.
I’ve talked about protective charms in previous posts, so I’m not gonna spend a lot of time on it here. The simplest protective charm is keeping a large piece of iron under your bed to keep away nightmares, evil spirits, and negative energy. You could also make your own protection charm, like a witch bottle.
You can create a “happy home” charm to bring peace, harmony, and happiness into your home. This charm could include herbs like basil, rosemary, lavender, peppermint, and/or bay leaves, as well as other items that you associate with peace and good fortune, like lucky coins, crystals, or black cat fur. Write your desires for a harmonious and happy home on a piece of paper, fold it up, and add it to the charm. You could store these items in a green bag, bury them in your backyard (in this case, make sure you’re only using biodegradable plant matter — leave out the coins and crystals), or place it inside a household object like a lamp or an end table.
If you suffer from insomnia or other sleep issues, try making a dream charm to help you sleep well and have sweet dreams. To make a simple dream charm, fill a blue or purple bag with lavender, chamomile, peppermint, and any other objects that you associate with peace, restfulness, and sleep. If you want to have lucid dreams or receive psychic messages in your dreams, include a bit of mugwort. Place the charm in your pillow or under your mattress. (I personally swear by this one, as it’s helped a lot with my insomnia.)
Charms are great for homemaking magic because you’re actually creating a magical object, which can then become a permanent fixture of the space.
Magical Decor
You can use magical items to decorate your home to bring certain qualities into that space.
Hanging or displaying a broom is said to bring good fortune, protection from evil, and good hospitality. Cauldrons are used to represent the Goddess, rebirth, and raw potential. Horseshoes hung above door frames bring safety and luck to all who cross under them, and keep unwanted guests away. If you can get them legally and ethically, animal bones, teeth, claws, and feathers can represent the spirit and energy of that animal. You can also put up images of spiritual and occult symbols — I have an image of the Sun tarot card hanging in my bedroom to promote positivity and growth.
If you need to be a little more subtle with your witchy decorations, working with the magic of color is a great way to do that. Gathering a lot of items of a single color in one room changes the energy of that room. Here’s a quick guide to give you some ideas:
Yellow is associated with divination, mental clarity, the element of air, success, communication, and inspiration.
Purple is associated with divine power, spiritual awareness, mystery, astral travel, magic, and authority.
Blue is associated with healing, psychic abilities, the element of water, peace, truth, and patience.
Red is associated with protection, the fire element, sex, power, vitality, and love.
Orange is associated with ambition, creativity, breaking through blockages, and career success.
Pink is associated with romantic love, friendship, self love, compassion, and emotional well-being.
Green is associated with nature, herbalism, the earth element, money, wealth, prosperity, and luck.
Brown is associated with grounding, animal magic, stability, and balance.
White is associated with purification, cleansing, the full moon, new beginnings, healing, and spiritual growth.
Black is associated with protection, truth, outer space, banishing, and transition.
Decorating your home with colors that are meaningful to you can create a powerful magical space. You may also have your own color associations (for example, yellow is a very “happy” color for me), so feel free to incorporate those into your decor as well!
Tumblr media
Growing Magical Houseplants
Most witches feel a very deep connection to nature and draw power from the natural world, but we can’t all live in a cottage in the heart of the forest. Even if you live in a tiny apartment in the city, you can still bring nature into your space by keeping houseplants. Many popular houseplants have magical uses, and many popular magic herbs can be grown inside. Here are a few to get you started.
Aloe. This is one of my favorite plants. Aloe brings luck and protection, especially protection on an energetic/spiritual level. I like to keep aloe in my bedroom to protect me while I sleep, as well as to bring luck and inspiration while I’m working at my desk.
Basil. Basil is very popular in money spells, and will attract prosperity and luck to your home. However, it also has protective properties — both spiritual protection and protection from bugs, since basil is a natural insect repellent! Basil can also be used in love spells, and is just generally a good plant to have around for good vibes.
African Violet. This flowering plant attracts positive spiritual energy into your space. It has associations with the moon and the water element, and is very good for promoting spirituality and psychic power.
Rosemary. Rosemary is one of those herbs that every witch should have on hand. It’s so darn versatile, it can be used as a substitute for virtually any other herb, and can be used for almost any intention. Some of the most common magical associations for rosemary include: cleansing, purification, protection, healing, mental activity, and enhancing memory. According to author Deborah J. Martin, there’s an old English saying that, “Where rosemary grows, the woman rules the house.” Like basil, rosemary is a natural insect repellent.
Lavender. Lavender brings peace, love, and gentleness, which makes it a perfect addition to any home. It can be used in spells for cleansing and purification, enhancing psychic abilities, and stress relief. Lavender is also a powerful addition to love spells. Keeping lavender in the bedroom can aid in restful sleep, while lavender in the kitchen will bring harmony to the home.
Sage. Sage is the most talked about cleansing herb, and with good reason. Unfortunately, a lot of the sage bundles you can buy at metaphysical stores are made with white sage (Salvia apiana), which is sacred to Native American peoples and is endangered due to overharvesting. Instead of buying those, why not grow your own garden sage (Salvia officinalis), which has a lot of the same magical properties? Growing sage in your home will purify the space and protect those who live there. Sage also has an association with wisdom and mental prowess.
Hoya. Hoya is a common houseplant that you’ve probably seen even if you don’t know it by name. It has a distinctive appearance with waxy, dark green leaves and clusters of white, star-shaped flowers. Hoya aligns and balances the energy centers within your body, as well as in the surrounding space. It’s associated both with grounding and with spiritual openness, so it can be great for balancing the two.
Peppermint. Peppermint has a variety of magical uses, but my favorite way to use it is for gently opening up blockages and getting things moving. It’s great for cleansing, but is more gentle than rosemary or sage. Place it in any room where you tend to do a lot of healing work, or where you could use some peace and love. Peppermint is also used in dream magic, so growing it in the bedroom may bring on vivid or lucid dreams.
Orchid. Orchids are used in magic for love and lust. Historically, orchid has been used in folk medicine to promote male virility and “Jezebel root,” used in American folk magic to attract wealthy male lovers, is a type of orchid root. If you live with a significant other, try growing an orchid in the bedroom to promote passion in your sex life. Otherwise, grow orchids in your home to promote love or to attract romance.
Catnip. If you have cats, they’ll love this one. Catnip is actually a type of mint, and has strong lunar associations. It’s said to make one more charming and attractive, and is especially useful for attracting women. At the same time, catnip promotes courage and fierceness. It is also, of course, associated with cats and feline deities, so this is definitely a plant you’ll want to keep around if the cat is one of your animal guides.
If you have a yard space that you can turn into an outdoor garden, your magical plant options are limited only by your local ecosystem. Some outdoor plants that have magical uses include roses, sunflowers, rue, lemon balm, and strawberries.
Creating an Altar
Altars are focal points of magical and spiritual energy. Many people, both witches and non-witches, find that having a designated space for their spiritual practice creates a deeper sense of sacredness and purpose.
An altar can serve lots of different purposes. Many witches use their altar as a magical work space to prepare spells, meditate, and do divination. You may choose to dedicate your altar to a deity, your ancestors, or some other spirit(s) you work with. You can also build altars for specific intentions, such as a money altar or a love altar — performing rituals at this altar everyday is a powerful method for manifestation. You altar may be some or all of these things, or it may just be a place to sit and connect with the spiritual.
You can set up an altar on any flat surface, like a shelf or table, or inside a container like a jewelry box. Your setup can be as simple or as elaborate as you like. An altar can be huge and complex, with statues and candles and flowers, or it can be as simple as a tealight and an incense burner. It’s all about what appeals to you.
