Basically stolas is bad classist person whom had sort of entitlement and honestly it makes me hating him even more due to viviziepop horrible writing and helluva boss had potential being great show but it shamed that show resolving around stolas

Ohh boy, where do i even start?

He's a pretty neglectful father. Both episodes that his daughter, Octavia, has been featured in for now (and some rumors regarding future ones she'll appear in), he's done nothing but ignore her. In Loo-Loo Land, he complety ignores how uncomforble she is with the idea of going to the park, aswell as calling Blitzø, the guy he's literally cheating on her mom with (which is the main reason why she was so upset in the first place, even before he brought up the park) to come with them. Would have maybe given him a bit of slack since at the end he had promised her to never do a thing like that again to... To then do that thing again in Seeing Stars 😑 which is actually worse as she had literally ran away in that case and instead of searching for her, he decided to goof of with you guessed it! Blitzø.

He's someone who looks down on the people he deems inferior to him, while fetishizing them and trying to act all innocent. He literally sees imps so lowly that he assumed that Striker and Blitzø were friends when it was clear that was not the case with the way that I.M.P. was talking about him throught that phone call! (Also him getting upset because he somehow wasn't aware that Striker tried to assasinate him before, despite I.M.P. risking their lives to protect him like what-) and don't get me started on the whole full moon deal...

He keeps ogging the screentime away from other characters such as Verosika, and the show acts as if his non-existent relationship with Blitzø is more important then any actual relationship either of them have with any of the other characters! (That's more of a general nit-pick, but still)

Those are all the ones that come to mind for now, might update this if i remember more.

Im probably gonna ranting about why simba is better character than stolas and let start that simba actually trying being better father to his children despite he having severe PTSD due to he literally witnessing his own father brutal death while getting blamed for it by his evil uncle and he doesn't had chance for processing his grief properly that we saw that he literally often having anger outbursts almost his emotional coping whole stolas on other side is very neglectful father literally prioritizing his affair partner whom also he coerced into the relationship than his own fucking daughter and he also more putting his time on his affair partner rather than his daughter then crying that he say "no one need him or loved him" like is he forgot that he had literal daughter whom cravings for his attention and in conclusion that simba is way BETTER character than stolas that it my ranting

people like to fault asha for using her apprentice interview as a way to grant her saba’s wish but to be really honest, asha was fully right to do so, because the entire wish system was rigged in the first place and sabino was turning 100 and already has been waiting a lifetime for his wish to come true, with the other implication that he is not getting any younger and if asha had never decided to make a wish on her own, he and other citizens of rosas would have gone their whole lives without never knowing that their wishes were not really going to be granted by magnifico

another thing I have seen people point out is that asha and the others knew that their wish was forgotten once they were given to magnifico but it’s more like you know they were taught it was a given not something that magnifico devised out of his own warped view, especially with the knowledge that magic including its study is only exclusive to magnifico, so the citizens and asha do not know the full extent of magic and how it works, which also adds another layer to how messed up magnifico’s wish system is because people cannot have any avenues of other magic to question even if they do, until asha’s hope in something else led to the discovery of magic within themselves

A Theory on Simba’s TLG Personality

The first thing I want to point out is that this is from my perspective and does not voice anything concrete or stated explicitly by Disney.

I’ve seen several complaints about Simba and how he acted in Return of the Roar in regards to the guard Kion picked but I doubt very much it was actually meant as racism. First let’s look at Simba’s experience with the history of the pride.

Simba is trying his best to be the ‘good king’, as such he strives to follow traditions he had to learn in a shorter amount of time than Kiara will. Simba would have originally been learning about the Lion Guard and all the duties of the king as he grew up but all that was dashed when Mufasa died and he was told to run away by Scar. It is likely that since no new guard was born that Mufasa never felt the need to tell Simba the story, which Rafiki possibly did much later.

On all the murals in the lair, the Lion Guard is composed of strictly Lions and was likely perceived by Simba as ‘tradition’. As we see in the episode of TLG involving Elephanteese, tradition and Simba are not friends and he is still learning everything yet expected of him while trying to be a good father. There are times that Simba is ‘pompous’ or ‘overly strict’ but again, he is trying emulate the memory of his later father (as pointed out by Kiara in TLK2:SP) which still holds true here most likely.

Simba never truly coped with losing Mufasa, and with the stress of trying to follow tradition and not knowing where or when he has ‘wiggle room’ it is easy to see why Simba views traditions the way he does but the important quality is that he is trying not only to be a good king, but he does try to be a good father.

Simba likely butts heads with Bunga simply because Bunga reminds him of who he used to be and a part of him resents Bunga for being able to be who he really is. Simba and Bunga eventually bond though and we see the real Simba crack through the royal facade and remember that his family extends beyond the pride (which is evident in TLK2:SP because of just how much he trusts Timon and Pumbaa with Kiara).

Overall, Simba’s behavior patterns to me match someone who is still trying to sort himself out on top of ruling the Pridelands and being a father, both of which are things he had very little time to prepare for. Did I need this rant? Yes, yes I did.

I respect other fans, but please stop abusing Simba with all the racist jokes. The jokes are NOT funny to ANY race. Simba is just trying to uphold traditions left and right while trying not to constantly worry about his children. Simba likely doesn’t know how to think that some traditions do not need to be upheld, which can lead to misunderstandings. Let us never forget that anytime Zazu mentions the ‘D’ world Simba caves and tries whatever duty is required of him despite clear reluctance and misgivings about whichever tradition he is upholding. 

Rant aside, does anyone else think the idea of Simba comforting a flea-ridden baby giraffe is adorable enough to warrant an doodle?
