the moth was not enough to satisfy my desire to glue lace onto dolls, so here's my next endeavor.

i've been wanting to sculpt more mushrooms for a long time, but there was always something else demanding attention. seeing a lot of shrooms outside finally inspired me to make this ink cap, and start a couple of others that might eventually see the light of day. printing the cap without breaking the ink droplets is basically impossible, but at the moment i'm paying less attention to my designs being reprintable and more on having fun. as i told my partner, "can't wait to get the head out of the printer so i can BREAK IT."

So many people over the years have reacted with shit like "DOLLS ARE SO CREEPY OMG what if they KILL YOU in your SLEEP and what if they're HAUNTED" when I tell them I collect dolls and stuff and like. Bruh. They're literally just sitting there. Looking pretty. Doing fuck all. Why are you so scared of them! And I'm a doll. Are you scared of me? Like. Me and the girls literally just sitting here doing nothing and these people start being loud as hell about how much they hate us.

"Ohhh what if they're ALIVE" then we're having a tea party! We're gonna gossip! It's gonna be great! And if they're haunted then that's fine too! Living dolls or haunted dolls, does not matter to me cuz they are all VALID!

I have run into very few dolls that legit creeped me out and it was honestly more that they had a very intense vibe they just wanted to be left alone and so I respected that. It's not that hard! Like! Girl calm down they are not gonna hurt you! Goddamn!

it/its but in the dehumanizing way. it/its but in the way that an animal is called an it, a creature born from nature. A creature that is beautiful and special in its own right, something not to be seen as lesser but equal in its own unique ways. " oh but it/its isn't dehumanizing !!" it CAN be to those who want it. Being seen as something nonhuman does not immediately equal lesser; there are beautiful things that are not human. You ever seen some sick tropical birds with its plumage, or the familial ties a bear may have to its cubs, or the dedication a lion may have to its prey. It/Its but in the way of appreciating the unhuman, but not subhuman.
