was just talking abt this with a moot and 18+ minors dni but uh. re4 leon totally cries sometimes when you fuck. he doesn't want you to see it so he fucks you doggy a lot, and then one day you manage to surprise him a little and get the drop on him, manage to push him onto his back and ride him and you've got your head thrown back-but you hear this odd little noise and you look down and he's lying there with the heels of his hands pressed into his eyes, mouth pressed into a line as he stifles his sobs and bucks up into you-

he thinks he hears gunshots before a flash of light explodes from the windows. instinctively he jumps out of bed, adrenaline pumping, heart racing, primed to fight. but he learns that it's only a passing storm, just rain and the infamous peas in a pod– thunder and lightning. just rain, not an attempted assassination of agent kennedy, or sorts.

but before he can clamber back into bed, he's reminded of the laundry hanging overnight in the balcony. he freaks out and scampers around the house, fighting against the freak of nature to slam the windows shut. by the time he's done, you're awake too, peering at his returning form with wide eyes.

"leon..?" you squeak when a thunderclap speaks over you. you dive under the comforter like a snail retreating into its shell. he'd laugh if he didn't jump from it too.

leon climbs back into bed and pulls the sheet over him. he finds you cowering in a fetal position, hands over your ears. while he awoke with a fight response– you, oh so different from him, chose flight. he couldn't blame you, instead shifting closer to hold you and pull you to his chest.

"i'm here, it's okay," he murmurs gently, a clarity in his voice despite waking up a few minutes ago. he strokes your hair, and you bury your face into his chest, hands clinging to his tee. "the rain can't hurt you. you're safe."

"then why the hell is it so loud?" your voice is muffled, but you cling closer anyway. he hooks a leg over yours with a soft smile.

"just a passing thunderstorm. it'll be over soon," he promises, "you don't have to be scared, sweetheart."

you blink up at him slowly, and he fondly pinches your nose. he chuckles as you swat him away before clinging to him again. he hides his face in your hair, gently soothing your back with a hand. you know you'll never hear the end of his teasing once the rain stops, but at least it's safe with him.

you’ve never liked chess. always thought it was too complicated—too many things to remember. theres also the fact that leon would beat you every game—and quite mercilessly at that. he knows it’s not your favourite. knows you do your best not to show it either, sweetly similar to the way he pretends he’s more interested in the game than he is hearing you laugh—feeling you hit his chest lightly when he stalks you across the board, eating your ‘children’, as you like to call them. he thinks you’re absolutely ridiculous and just sickeningly endearing.

“his name is leon,” you tease, pointing to his black knight piece. “cause you’re my dark knight.”

it’s awfully cheesy, you know that. but you also know your boyfriend is not above cheesy lines. you’re perceptive too; you think he shouldn’t assume you don’t notice the way his lips twitch upwards when you dote on him. leon raises a brow and gives you a gentle laugh, gazing tiredly at your eyes that are always just so full of light. and when you say that god awful line? hell, he almost swears he’s seen that giddy smile in a mirror before—insists he’s heard that tone of voice ringing in his ears so many times over. being around you was like paying tribute to the man he once was. pure. untainted. optimistic. like putting on that blue uniform for the very first time all over again.

“oh yeah?” he gives you an amused sigh, pausing for a moment to examine the board before he points to a piece.

the white rook.

“this one’s you.” leon smirks, eyes still fixed on you as if to gauge out your reaction. you tilt your head in confusion, a slight frown forming on your features.

“the rook? that’s boring.” you pout “the knights better.” leon smiles at your pout before leaning forwards and knocking over the little white rook with his knight, pocketing the fallen piece in one swift motion. “i prefer the rookie.”

it takes you a second to digest what happened—but once you do you scoff through a laugh, struggling to contain the warm swell in your chest. “so cheesy.”

leon kennedy thinks everything you do is endearing. you’re a sense of security he doesn’t think he’s ever had—the only flower that doesn’t wilt at his touch. standoffish as he may seem; leon cares. empathy runs through him rampantly, even if he hides it better as the years go by. to be so intensely affected by all the tragedy around him, also gives him the ability to love you completely. so, if you asked him about the habits you can’t seem to drop and tell him to pinpoint a favourite, he might just blank for a second. don’t take it the wrong way.

chris redfield is a whirlwind of emotions. vocal as he may be, he still finds it difficult to express to you just how much you mean to him. perhaps seeing the sky fall down on the front lines does that to a person—scares him from speaking you into the world; afraid to materialise the you he’s dreamt up in fear that you too will be taken from him. yet when you hold him, he’s the one that feels solidified. to be in your arms is to live there forever in just a few moments. chris redfield isn’t one for sentiment, but he swears he can still feel your fingers in his hair a thousand miles from you.

carlos oliveira, charged and filled with passion. carlos loves you like it’s the end of the world, which ironically for us, it just might be. he embodies ‘puppy love’—dotes on you every chance he gets. he takes comfort in the soft teasing and the gentler nights. his heart dies as he picks you up and spins you around the room, swallowing your laughter like he survives on it. carlos isn’t a religious man by any means, but how could you deny a god in the presence of an angel.

ethan winters. ethan is there for you for the long run—takes a glance at you and leaves everything else up to fate. (it should be noted that in this particular context, ‘fate’ includes excessive internet stalking and cheesy forum pickup lines.) so when he’s got you, ethan loves you like a meadow river. he walks by you to the end of the stream—dangles his feet over the cliff as he watches you fall and engulf the world in your element. even on the stormy days, who can deny the beauty of the sea?
