Watching Hank Green use the dewey decimal system as the basis of the grocery store system is kinda upsetting as someone with a MLIS degree. Like Melville Dewey sucks. Like there are entire classes that are like hey figure out a new cataloging system, cause people don't want to use it anymore and it's an interesting exercise Making a standardized grocery store is also a really fascinating concept. Cause when you look at the dewey decimal system and uniformity, my brain goes immediately to racism and fascism, and how one might be unintentionally reproducing that or the lengths someone will go to not reproduce that from the current grocery store layout and dewey decimal system

I loved seeing the "who can go the longest without getting COVID" in the game changer behind the scenes. The fact that they did go the whole year and didn't get COVID. The fact that they talked about it being hard. I loved seeing it, cause it is hard, but it can be done. And there are people out here doing it. It's sloppy, and not perfect, but there are people TRYING.

Like I have been seeing so much media, where people who are still masking or trying not to get sick or their friends/family sick are basically no where. Like the Dying for Sex mini series, no one, not even the immunocompromised person is wearing a mask.

I LOVE seeing dropout people talk about the testing they do before a shoot, I LOVE seeing the crew in masks. And I know that might go away, and if it does I'll be sad about it. But to see people do the shit I do to see friends, to be in public matters so much.

Thinking about apothecary diaries LN 14, and the free WN chapter online. With the whole meeting of the clans and that moment also being a time to arrange marriages, I desperately want a truly arrogant, oblivious asshole to be like "I'm gonna marry Maomao cause he wants to have Lakan as an ally" without understanding that he'd be making two enemies in that moment. I want Lakan to overhear (or be told by Lahan since Lahan is a full Jinmao shipper), get his I'm gonna ruin your life face (from book 2/season 1), ask Maomao if she wants to marry the person, and when Maomao says no, him go to fucking town, with a caveat of him saying "At least the other one was surprising/interesting" (referencing the go tournament with Jinshi)

And when Jinshi finds out from say Basen (cause I imagine the Ma Clan is there based on the synopsis), he gets to be like 1) that man is so thoroughly demolished by Lakan I don't need to do anything and 2) how nice that Lakan said that about me, because God knows he's picking up any crumbs he can to be on Lakan's neutral to good side
