okay, so he wanted to leave and end his run, that’s not the fucking point. the point is instead of giving the first black queer doctor in history a monumental final arc to match the monumental performance you center white characters, white storylines, and blow a kiss to the side of the fandom that didn’t want ncuti in the first place.

you tucked your racist fans into bed with a story about a white boy getting everything he ever wanted and a nice rose colored glass of nostalgia in case they get thirsty. they don’t have to worry, there’s no black man hiding under the bed, he’s gone, they’re finally safe.

so no, it doesn’t matter if ncuti told rtd he was leaving two minutes after they wrapped, he deserved dignity and respect and that was not present.

You know what. I take it back. I'm glad the master didn't appear in the reality war. I'm glad he's stuck in a golden tooth picked up by a mysterious hand with red nail polish. an indian woman talking to another indian women about blood purity

the indian rani being a dictator and then getting killed for no reason while the white rani survives

the indian companion being randomly shoved into the role of mother and then getting sidelined in favour of the white companion from the previous series

the black, openly queer doctor regenerating into a white woman from a previous series

Can I just say I absolutely despise what they did to Belinda, using her as a vessel for the Doctor’s sudden child fixation when her character has never expressed any interest in children, then rewriting her whole timeline to accommodate afterward.

It feels especially infuriating when the previous episode *nailed* the misogyny and compulsory heterosexuality of Conrad’s World, only to see so much of it replicated at Belinda’s expense in the ‘restored’ world.

hate to say it but she was sidelined in service of a white character then was reduced to *just* a mother in the finale (literally locked away in a box for half of it) then has her memory and agency taken away by the end😭
