"Beware, Underlanders, time hangs by a thread..."

hello hello! this september 1st marks the 20 year anniversary of gregor the overlander, the first book in the underland chronicles series by suzanne collins! i wanted to do something special to celebrate and i thought a little (re)read event would be a lot of fun!

all of the details are in the images above (image descriptions provided), but here are the dates once more:

Aug. 7th-11th --- Gregor the Overlander

Aug. 12th-16th --- Prophecy of Bane

Aug 17th-21st --- Curse of the Warmbloods

Aug 22nd-26th --- Marks of Secret

Aug 27th-Sept. 1st --- Code of Claw

With a heavy heart, The Underland Project needs to be let go.

I have learned a lot from this project and wouldn't even be able to take any kind of client works if I didn't push through it.

Unfortunately, the project has to stop.

It is a fan project that was done out of passion. I may have made some money while working on it, but they are not much and can't give me a secure life as content creator since I'm mostly doing it for free. I also can't monetize the products I make from it.

So now, I have to move on to other endeavors.

Regalian Character Maker almost done!

This will be used to ease the burden of having to make multiple characters for a crowd scene for #TheUnderlandProject ! I also plan to make this available for everyone, especially for the #TheUnderlandChronicles fans so they can make their own characters with it. :) And, of course, since we have a character maker for Regalians, expect to see character makers for other creatures as well. hehehehehehe.

BEEG BUG Animation Progression

This is the product of a four-year endeavor to see if I can actually make a 3D animated film using only free/open source software, on a laptop(mostly), by myself. This is an experimental film that I started to see whether or not I can make a 3D animated film. With characters and environment that I designed, modeled and prepared for animation. Also doing the animations myself, especially with characters interacting with each other. How to handle the physics simulations(hair, cloth, etc.) Lighting, Rendering, Compositing and Editing. Adding sound and music just telling a story through 3D animation. This is also a fan adaptation of a portion of the book, Gregor the Overlander by Suzanne Collins. I decided to do this experiment using an existing story because I don't really want to risk my own original stuff for it. 😅 So I took a big risk on this one without risking too much. At the same time bringing to life a story that I love! The mission was to know how to take a story from script into a finished 3D animated film. Figure out the technical stuff and also enduring the labor of a 3D animation production. And I believe I fulfilled that mission. I learned A LOT with this one and I can honestly say that if I were to do this again with the amount of knowledge I have now, I could do it in half the time. And yep, there's definitely still room to grow!
