Willow unclasped the worn silver. She let the cord slip through her scarred fingers. The cord was as black as her long hair, contrasted by the milky white crescent moon dangling on it everyday.
“It was mom’s.” She said with sentiment. Her wet eyes and sad smile studied the carved stone.
Willow looked in the mirror. She saw her doppelgänger’s hand stretched out toward herself. The necklace was simple, a round crescent moon with markings carved into it.
She she outstretched her arm beneath the other and let the necklace fall. She then studied it closely. She could see the imperfections now, little chips and dirt built up over the years. Beneath it there was a marbling effect, by a trick of the light it almost glowed.
Willow looked back into the reversed glass. She saw herself once again, but different. The hair on her head was white and cut short, framing her face.
“What do I do with this?” She asked, met only with silence.
With no answer, Willow put the cord around her neck and clasped the silver pieces together. The cold stone fell and hung against her skin. Willow stared into the mirror.
Who was she talking to?

As he was told, Strag lifted one of her limp arms. “Is she hurting herself?” His face grew more concerned as he inspected the deep cuts.
“Look closer, at her hands.” William said tiredly.
Strag walked around the couch and sat beside the girl. She looked peaceful while she was sleeping. When she was awake her face was usually contorted into a glare, it contrasted her almost white hair.
Much fun. Have found a beginning and am excited to write these bros saving William’s baby.

Willow said as she lay comfortably beside Arri. He stared at her for a moment and pulled the blanket up more. He sat back with Yvette asleep in his arms. His hand brushed through Willow’s hair.
“I missed you too.” He said. There was a book on Yvette’s night stand, Arri reached over Willow and grabbed it. The girl in his arms stirred and babbled as she fell right back to sleep. As she did Arri opened up to the first page. The book was Lewis Carrol’s Alice in Wonderland. He bought the book a while back for Yvette, he read a lot of classics to the little girl. Now he would read one to Willow, to make up for being away for so long. So long with no calls or messages.
Willow watched him read. He was clear and coherent. If he wanted, Arri could make a small sum reading for audio books. Though, he didn’t adjust his voice to any characters, it was all just Arri. No higher pitch for Alice or a more serious tone for her sister, not even panic for the white rabbit. Willow smiled with amusement, she turned over and snatched one of Yvette’s pillows and hugged it. She sat up just a bit so she could lean on Arri. He smiled. since Willow was close enough, he peck her on the head, then he continued reading.
Even after Arri’s two favorite girls had fallen asleep, he continued to read for a while. He was enjoying it and felt that maybe Willow would still hear him as she slept. Once he made it to the sea of tears, his consistent voice was broken up by yawns. The warm light from the lamp and cold glow from the curtain made him feel safe and warm. The weight on his chest and shoulder made him lean back. He rested his head on Willows and let himself fall asleep just as the girls did.
