Guys, it got so much freaking worse. KOSA is bad, but SCREEN is even worse, somehow.

- When talking with Republicans play up the fact that this would force Elon to implement age verification systems on X (yes do call it X during the call). here's the list of really bad internet bills in the us, that we (in the us) need to fight against:

kosma was recently introduced into congress, and so we might need to focus on that, and kosa.

also, i have heard that california has passed this from commerce. no, it hasn't passed yet, but it'll be a bit harder now to get it out of there.

also, i have recently heard that canada's also getting into the age verification as well.

also, for the age verification thing going on in youtube, i might've made a mistake in the initial post. in the post, i stated that they'll push it on everyone on august 13th. that is not true. i read that part wrong. apparently, they are going to test it out first, before they do it to everyone. i would like to apologize for any of those. however, i might have something that our message can get to them. obviously, don't attack them while you write your messages. however, they need to hear us out, before they ruin whatever's left of their reputation.

i understand that everyone's tired, but please try to, at least, do something. we're not powerless. we can still stop these from happening. whether you call every day, or inform others. you can do that.

i just can't convey the frustration and sorrow that it's been to grow up at first without the internet and then watching it bloom into this useful, fun, connecting force you sometimes spent time on, only for it to degrade into this constant oppressive waste of time and energy where people are constantly pumping out algorithmically designed content for max algorithmic appeal and even the most simple search generates either no results or an infinite abyss of ai generated slop none of which is usable or correct. we briefly had a library of alexandria and then fed it into a paper shredder so advertisers could sell a random mash of pulp back to us at a premium.
