So here is my first pastel pencil Joker! There is quite a learning curve in this medium for me; this is actually my 4th attempt at the same picture (9 x 12"). 😅 I had to use them like pencil crayons, as layering on the papers I have now is difficult. I've ordered soft pan pastels and proper Pastelmat, so I'm looking forward to trying smoother work with those later!

WIP sketch, however, I will be posting a different drawing and process video before I finish this one. I do need to try some other things, but this look invaded my mind so I wanted to capture it tonight.

This is funny because I’ve always felt like this about my own life and that’s why I’ve loved Loki since the moment I saw him.

I really love that this had the courage to start by telling its protagonist "your entire existence for thousands of years has only been as a supporting character in better people's stories, you're only here to help others reach the potential that you never will and here's the proof" like JESUS that's a whole new level of dark and existential for the MCU and I want so much more of it.
