23. Do you use different layer modes

I do, I most often use multiply (shading), overlay (balances shading and highlights, watermarks), add (highlights, watermarks) and burn (when multiply/overlay isn't working well with the colors)

Clip Studio Paint, I really only use it for color correction for print

I'm pretty aware of what inspirations my artwork has... it's hard to think of anything outside of the obvious (Pokemon, MP100, the plethora of amazing artists whose art I enjoy). I think I'd have to recruit help in asking what stylistic similarities others might see in my art that I can't think of

Like 90% of it goes online in some form, only some trash doodles, unfinished stuff and some traditional / scrapbooking doesn't. Out of that, I'd say 65% gets posted on public accounts just based on number of finished pieces

11. Do you listen to anything while drawing? If so, what

Yes, I mostly put YouTube on in the background but sometimes I'll listen to music if I'm in the mood. Most of my music is chillhop, lofi, video game soundtracks, and otherwise instrumental or atmospheric stuff. Video subjects range from Minecraft longplays to video essays on speedrunning, true crime, cave diving, airplane accidents, etc. I also like relaxed vlogging, let's plays, draw-with-me's, and dog grooming vids.... I used to listen to podcasts - MBMBAM, The Adventure Zone - but haven't in a long while

4. Fav character/subject that's a bitch to draw

As much as I love four-pointed stars, I always find myself finagling with them for a long time to make them look good. Other star shapes are much easier. Also checkerboard patterns need a lot of touching up til they look good to me but I've been growing quite partial to them lately....

Also, legs. Ugh I love how they turn out but specifically the size of them in proportion to the body is something I have a hard time figuring out, I've started leaning into it as a stylization quirk

Most of my favorite characters are ones I find artistic muse and ease of drawing in, but one of my OCs that I'm particular with is Ryuuji, I feel like I'm the only one who can draw him how he looks in my brain. Iosefa is a character of mine that I've had a hard time nailing down his features as well

And ummm I'm still learning how to draw night furies so drawing my sona Oreo is a learning process each time

writers and artists will go "this isn't good enough." my brother in christ, you're creating something new out of nothing and expressing yourself creatively. your productivity and unrealistic standards of perfection do not define you or the worth of your art. you're doing great.

If you dare come at me about banning straws, I will throw you into the sun cannon. I’m disabled, I’m crippled, I need disposable plastic straws, and all those pricey ridiculous alternatives aren’t working as well. Plastic straws were invented for the disabled.

Way to shit all over a vital access need because you think straws are worse than corporate greed.

We all care about the turtles, the seals, the oceans, obviously. Notice how the easiest thing to yell about was something that would barely affect anything but appealed heavily to emotional discourse.

The disabled community is huge, and it can be joined by anyone. Most of those As Seen On TV products were invented for us. Society still mocks us and ignores us, and often outright harms us in multiple ways.

Communicate better. Listen better. But stop putting us out in the cold because you are inconvenienced by our simplest needs.
