THIS IS MUTANY, A CRIME AT HOW GOOD THIS IS YOU GOT LIKE NOTHING WRONG ABOUT HIS STORY(or I guess nothing wrong with what I’ve said here, I always have my whole plot lines in my head that are constantly being tweaked and such. You got so darn close though like goodness with what I’ve gave you on here this is just SO impressive)

I will say I think my favorite scene is where it zooms out on my boy and shows his taxidermy like YO that looks amazing!! Absolutely going to be stealing that layout for if I ever draw the inside of his house. Which you got it perfectly?! The clan symbol on the front looking amazing!! Gosh all the little details. I’ve been watching it on 0.5 speed just to absorb everything AHHHHH. But gosh every frame is perfection

He looks so goofy with his little hat. Like the tone and tension is all wonderfully crafted to be like somber and it’s just him with this top hat like a lil gentleman.

The way you drew the everything, goodness how many hours did you spend on this? There is so much detail, like you included Rey’s tattoos!! AH I also adore the way you did the legs, they are way more animation friendly than how I have them, so when I do start animating for myself with them I’ll sure as heck be stealing that design element

I feel like I could praise this thing forever, rest assured this is hogging my mind for the next eternity. Don’t you even forget it next year. I better have something special planned for next year. I do, I think.

that's how the story board looked! Despite the numerous ups and downs I loved making this. It was my dream to make a PMV someday and I think making this for someone who isn't myself helped me find the motivation to stick with the project to the end

Hello! Asking out of curiosity and absolutely nothing else, I was wondering how does scorpion architecture look like? Especially in the main families' nests. Also are there any symbols the families use to maybe mark their territories or things with? 🌵

Scorpions have never been very interested in making pretty buildings, with many of the earlier scorpions having to travel around, before proper towns were built, they learned how to make quick shacks from dead cactus or would just bury themselves in sand.

The more modern scorpions though have very small hut sort of builds, just to sleep in and such. They are made of sandstone. It’s common to see some scrapings on the inside walls of the classic measurements of children, sort of cave painting style of memories of the family.

For bigger buildings in the modern age scorpions use more stone and metal.

As for shapes it’s a lot of simple boxes and cylinders and triangles, they never really got fancy with it. Except for Cog who wanted a dome made of metal with air conditioners, cuz he’s weird.

I’ve never designed family symbols, but I have used symbols before for the scorpions! The tattoo on Rey’s cheek can be found on a couple of other scorpions designs, the 3 dots. It’s a symbol meaning “quiet rebellion” which I made up of course, hopefully 3 dots in a lil cluster like that doesn’t mean anything.

But just for you because you are so sweet and special <3 I made these babies up! And I actually researched a bit for em too. I might have o go back and scrub the scorpions for some accidental representations, but I think they are fine for now

lahore pigeons are some of the most visually appealing birds out there. like in terms of visual design. very minimalist, good contrast.
